Hey all, I heard you enjoyed my previous Crab video on the bosses, so enjoy me tackling the areas next! Not a bad location in sight, every level was fun, enjoyable, with only a few minor moments that felt unbalanced. Great job, Aggro Crab!
I learned something today! That makes that stowaway very useful indeed! I wonder if that means it's item description is actually a sneaky dig by Aggro Crab at the item discription of the ring you can pick as your starting gift in Dark Souls. Because legit when I saw the description of the contact lense was "see enemy health bars" I seriously wondered what the point of it was as enemy health bars appear in the game by default.
Unfathom is one of the best examples of a a low point before the final act. Praya Dubia is spouting nihilism, kril is depressed, Firth berates you since he thinks the treasure is useless, and the entire game's mood shifts so much in this one location. You can't even leave at first.
@@BillySYTYet another reason for newgameplus! You would know exactly what to be afraid of, and the increased difficulty would be all the more mortifying, not knowing if you had done enough to get ready!! I did love the unfathom in concept, but sadly for me I played on the switch, which meant the performance tanked hard. When crossing the plains of the giant crabs, I was almost playing a ppt slide and just had to leg it and pray. That is my fault, but as a father, the only chance I get to play is on a portable just before sleep. Such a shame. Love your content so much; every week is just waiting for your next video. ♥️
I love how this game felt like it just kept going and going even though it really wasn't all that long. I bet most people thought it would end long before it did.
i love how some shells have passives to them like the rubber duck shell makes you immune to the electric attacks. idk any others but i’m sure there is a ton more passives
I personally hate flotsam vale, I was wandering aimlessly around that place for what felt like an hour and could not figure out which direction I was supposed to go to get to the mailbox
I was truly in awe when i first went down into the old sea and carcinia the bleached city, a very visually pleasing area. And also for the angler fish, using the bobbit worm adaptation works super well for countering the grab
Camtscha is probably my favorite boss in the game, IDK why but I vibe with his boss music and the creepy way he speaks. He's like if the Pale King from Hollow Knight was a boss.
Fun Fact: If you wear a non-conductive shell (like rubber ducks) while fighting the battery-hammer bros, you will be immune to electric attacks even without the rubberband stowaway
One other small detail is you can see the corpse of the “fashion girl crab” that doesn’t really do anything but follows you through the journey when you fall into the abyss. She’s dead by the museum guy and by the end, you start to realize that you’ve just killed almost every single friend you made
thats easily the only part of the game I disliked, because of all the laser crabs and their aggro range. the rest of the unfathom was sick, but fuuuuck that spot lol
the fact that they respawn and give you crystals is what annoyed me the most. its really annoying when youre trying to kill all of them and theres 100 other things attacking you. great game tho, and that part was pretty short so it wasnt too bad
In my run, I managed to kill all the giant crabs; I died enough times that I knew they respawned, but it was satisfying clearing out them all (be sure to keep them very far apart, and away from other enemies who will distract you; just hit the back legs and dodge everything else)
Just beat the game last night and I thought all of the areas were inventive, clever and thematically very resonant with their own themes as well as the overarching themes of the game. A funny aside, I reached the Consortium backwards. I actually never found the path in The Expired Grove that leads to the boss. Rather when I was exploring the beachside path to the left of the moonsnail shell wondering how to activate the shortcut at the top of the hill, I found a low cut patch of rocks to skyrim up the side of and found The Consortium waiting for me. Absolutely one of my favorite bosses and a true one of a kind in the roster. The funny thing is since I glitch jumped my way to them, I saw the (now third path) that I found to the Expired Grove to be anti-climactic. But knowing now that I had unlocked the way I was supposed to use to get to The Consortium, I feel the boss is one of the best hidden rewards for exploring the Grove that one can find. It's just a great fight!
Expired grove was one of my least favorite areas because of those fucking archers. The number of times I’d be platforming and get hit by them because their tracking is absolutely insane. Though it does have the best boss in the game and the double crab hammer well was a nice reference to the shark duo well from Bloodborne
Commenting this here cuz it was posted 5 minutes ago- Nooooooo the one video I was most hyped for and was waiting for is restricted behind a membership wallllll
I am so confused about the crab next to the knights helmet. You mention its a crab we met in our adventure, but i cant recall meeting a father levee at all. Maybe i just didnt pay attention to his name.
i have a love hate relationship with the unfathom. on one hand, it's awesome and terrifying. on the other, the spider crabs scare the shit out of me, i hate them i hate them i hate them.
I couldn't wait for the video am really enjoying the game so far i hope you make more rankings maybe shells or outfits Also i hope we get a dlc with a shark boss fight 🦈🦈
Love your ACT vids, can’t wait for more!! Also just wondering since I don’t know where to ask this, if anyone else played on switch, is the look of the game different for all the different platforms or just switch? The bounce sponges were all yellow, the flip-flops were blue instead of pink, the recycling bin next tk the royal shellsplitter was a different color too!
@@BillySYT yeah my old switch had a really hard time running the game. Lots of framerate drops when entering new places, and the textures of almost everything was very low res, I couldn’t even read all the brand parodies they had on the items around the map. There’s also a few bugs built into the game, I can’t even get the urchin adaptation. But switch was the only way I could play and I had an amazing time regardless!!!
I hated the Old Ocean. I dont wanna parcour, I want to fight! Additionally, as you mentioned, it wasnt clear if the way i was going was leading to the story or additional content. Especially after the moon shell with the sponge jump n' run where you could get a key for weapon upgrading. Man, i had no clue where to go
I feel like if you didn't want to parkour, you came to the wrong game - Another Crab's Treasure was billed as a Souls-like, but it was also billed as a platformer. But I agree - Old Ocean felt very hard to navigate, and could have been a little more clear in certain areas on what was optional or not.
If you’re a seahorse that shoots sponges consider yourself an op Also if anyone is looking for a shell to buy insurance for would highly recommend the among us shell def the best shell for exploration with high defense and health for early the mid game
As someone who didn’t know you can turn on the glow sticks to light up the Unfathom because I’m an idiot, I hated that area so much and was cursing the devs for designing it 💀😭😭
How could you do sands between like that. It isn’t perfect but it has some of the most rewarding exploration in the game. It’s very open and has a lot of secrets including the disco ball and Fredrick. I know you covered most of that but I feel like it deserves a higher ranking
Okay but how many times in the video did I say there's not a bad area of the bunch, and regardless of ranking, the area quality is extremely high? Like, I literally only had nice things to say :/
This game is really fun, would not have picked it up if not for your last video on it. Thought it would be really tame and easy, it is not and it's great. The devs knew what they wanted and made it.

The contact lens stowaway will allow you to see the worms underground. For anyone who needs to know. Angler fish, too.

Most people expected it to end at Roland. I thought there'd be more to it, but I didn't predict how the story would go from there
Soo. . .when's the 🐚Shell's Ranking list coming lol?
I could do it, but it wouldn't be based on actual in-game stats - It'd just be based on Fashion Shells
@@BillySYTeven better, now you have to. (Lil Bro top 5)
@BillySYT And? I just enjoy watching these Crab Souls videos lol
Gun shell is #1
0:55 counterpoint: bottom of the drain has crab grave playing, making it the best area in the game.

I killed pagurus the ravenous before i even entered flotsomvale and konche called me out for it

He shows up in New Carcinia, then again at the docks in Flotsam on your first visit.

Holy guacamole
In The Unfathoma, the fish enemy is a Telescope Fish, not a barracuda, just wanted to let you know!
you should do a boss arena ranking, some super cool ones in this game
My favourite was flotsam vale it had the most bosses which were all fun to kill and a key part of the story❤
same my favorite is unfathom which on elden ring reminds me of siofra river aswell
24:20 - they're viperfish
24:23 - they're isopods
25:50 - it's a whale
