    Hello Jason, I changed my internet provided, but now I can't access my cameras remotely when away from home. I was able to change and update the IP for when I am on the network and that works fine. Please, what settings do I need to update to enable me use IVMS-4500 when I am away from my local network. Canada doesn't have Hik-onnect server app for end user in the Google store app for download so I am stuck with IVMS-4500.

      Hi. You need to get your camera systems IP address, go to your recorder under network, you will find the IP Address. Then open your web browser and type the IP address there.

      @@JasonTech it worked a few months ago, and quit?? Didn't change anything then. Now I've got a differant cable box, router, I did check the cat 5 at the dvr with laptop and it gets though. I just took over the home for a few months while it's on sale, my son's, but he tried and gave up. I tried your trick. I'm new to cameras I do see a differant software interfacev from what you show. They did use this same app before

    My ivms4500 works for when I'm home but I can't setup the away device at all. Is this the solution for that?

      Do you have the Platform option? if you do, you can switch to the Hik-Connect app. If you don't, then you have to follow the steps in this video.

      @@JasonTech I think he is talking about port forwarding, so he can watch when he is away from home.
      You have to port forward the NVR/DVR network address in your router and point the port so that the firewall knows that any requests asking for port 8000 will route it to the NVR and you will be able to watch the recorder when on the public IP network rather than just your home network, It's actually pretty simple to do, and I guess you've already done it

      @@sr3d-microphones Yes you’re right, but only if your using a 3rd party DNS. Because Hikvision DNS is shut down. To use the IVMS-4500 you have to do port forwarding.

    MY CAMERAS OFF THE GARAGE ARE STATICY NOT CLEAR BUT THE REST OF CAMERAS ARE CLEAR

      No. Do you have IP camera / TVI / CVI and so on? Because of the connection are different and it sound like your problem is with the connector.
