thanks for the tutorial, it worked, you are not going to like the rest of my comment.... its 2024, and we still need to use internet explorer or ie tab interface to access the DVR video or zone configs to see video? how are we suppose to buy your brand if we cant even get it to work on normal browsers? internet explorer really? hikvision is the worst chinese brand except all the other that are worse 🤷♂, come on guys, your the only descent one that at least give reasonable support!! get a decent interface build, is this still the activeX shit?

I cannot find 'Local' menu. Do I need to put my pc in the same network with NVR first?

all of a sudden, i got logged out of hik app on my android and when i enter encryption pass, its still like this grey screen. no live view.
Hi... I am facing difficulties to liveview from the edge (configured in such a way, can view) , it worked all the way but suddenly the live view is not working, no error message, hikvision broswer panel hang, take note , i can view palyback. I did reinstall the webcomponent plugin, update edge. in our network othe pc can able to view but only one pc is not able to view. Not sure, why it is happeing - any advise please.
Make sure you already enable Internet Explorer mode on Edge

I have found the solution, configuration - local, change the protocol from tcp to udp. you can try both udp to tcp / tcp to udp.

Is there a way to not have the IE extension, or DO you have to have it in order to see any picture or live view?
Other option :
1. Use IVMS4200
2. Use Microsoft Edge with Internet Explorer mode
3. Use Google Chrome or Modern Web Browser, but just support for new model device with firmware 4.70 or above

Make sure you have disable stream encryption

Hi, what if I don't have "Local" sub menu, what should I do?
BTW, I'm' using Hilook NVR, and I able to view stream and recorded video footage throw iVMS-4200, HiLookVision, and Hi-connect on android, but for some reason not via the browser. I tried Chrome, canary and Edge. It works fine about a month ago ago, and then stopped, with the message "live view failed". Any idea what could be wrong?

Use edge browser with enable IE mode
Remotely viewing video from local devices is not supported. You can only view videos if your mobile phone is on the same LAN with the device. iska solution bata do?
Add your device by serial number not by ip address, if you want add by ip address, you can use ip public with port forwarding
I entered ip on browser then site can’t be reached is showing
Make sure your device and your laptop already in same network
I don't have a local option as you show
