Actually, I don't think that there's an instrumental version so they just tried to sing louder than the original so you couldn't hear it. You can kinda hear hints of the original throughout the entire song in the background, so I think the barely audible was just because it wasn't intended to be heard. But hey, maybe they're just really clever and I'm overlooking that
