Kenny idolized Stevie Ray Vaughan and loved the black and he was found at 14 and this video was when he was probably 16 or17. He is older in this video. and he is doing a live performance. His sister is in the original video and is sitting on the a couch in the video watching her brother play.
Kenny is the guy talking at the beginning, this was released in 97-98. Noah Hunt is the lead singer. The drummer is Chris Layton from Stevie Ray Vaughan & double trouble
Everyone keeps saying FFDP well Shinedown covered it with their acoustic project Smith and Myers with Kenny. The live version is amazing. Kenny was on stage & Brent just unleashed his vocals it made Kenny smile. It is on TH-cam check it out.
Randomly saw Kenny Wayne play last winter in SF. There was a music &history exhibition going on that was put on by Jim lrsay , who owns the Indianapolis Colts. He did a concert during the exhibition with Kenny Wayne , Nancy Wilson ,John Fogarty, Buddy Guy and some others A listers. Kenny was so good and kind of emceed the live show I saw Ringo’s drum set there - soooooo cool .
I know , Right !! As a guy who plays the drums Ringo’s set is one of the holy grails The music and American history that was on display was so fascinating Jim Irsey was talking it around the country
my 1st was my cousin and i driving home from a job. just a min in and i said ' i nvr heard this one...how did i miss this?!'. my cousin/boss man said 'me too! i know Every svr song'. i don.t mean that ugly. it.s a damned fine song (why else wld i be posting?
This is a favorite song of mine. It was written by Shepherd with Mark Selby and Tia Sillers. Mark Selby lived in Hays, Kansas just 30 miles away and had his band, Mark Selby and the Sluggers, before moving to Nashville and becoming a songwriting partner with Kenny Wayne Shepherd along with his wife Tia Sillers.
Oh yeah, this is a good one. Kenny is the one that introduced the song. You know the one with the poofy blond hair Lulu. (lol) Notice Kenny added the detail of playing blue and black acoustic and electric guitars. BTW Kenny Wayne Shepherd - lead guitar · Noah Hunt - lead vocals (the one with the dreamy hair). This song is from 1997. Written by Shepherd with Mark Selby and Tia Sillers
Kenny Wayne Shepherd | Blue On Black !!! This was a big hit back then. But Kenny and his friend who is the singer paired up and started playing in Jazz lounges. They are in the jazz type of constantly changing how they play a song Except with this song.. They stay true to it as they explained in Guitar Center Sessions. That was years ago and i don't know what they have done since. He looks older in this concert I don't think he was old enough to drink yet when they recorder this song. I do not know of any of his other songs but I do have this one in my library (Studio not live)
Another awesome reaction video from you ladies, how about doing a reaction video to The White Buffalo at: Guitar Center " The Whistler". Thank you and enjoy!
Not the 1st time I have seen a Guitar stand, Carlos Santana has used one in the same way . Steve Via uses one for his "Teeth Of The Hydra" guitar in Live shows but the only live version i know of is poor quality cell phone video.
He was barely 21 when this was released, Stevie Ry Vaughn protégée. Fun fact, married to Mel Gibson's oldest daughter and has 6 kids.
You gals are adorable.
Drive down a dark highway with the top down listening to this and it makes life just make sense.
Kenny was the gentleman speaking at the beginning.
Thanks ladies for reacting to my request. Love and hugs from Indiana.
Our pleasure!
From Southern Indiana myself just say Kenny Wayne not long ago in southern Indiana

5 finger death punch did a cover of this and made it more hard rock. It was pretty amazing!!!!
Thanks for another great video, hadn't seen this one before. Cool how Kenny's guitar is 'blue on black' with the blue pickguard

Awesome song, I haven't heard this song in some time. Thanks for sharing with the bald guy!
Glad you enjoyed it
🔥
In the original video Kenny(the blonde that spoke before the song began) played the electric guitar and sang. I like the original much more.
😂😂 just wait, now kenny wayne gonna start going by the Kenny Band and Lulu will definitely get all the credit first
Lulu needs a line of t shirts , " It's all about the pouf " .
Great idea. Lol

Five Finger Death Punch's version is much better.
