You can buff or nerf Valkyrie all you want.
I’ll love her all the same.
I play with her, she is so amazing but I'm more afraid than glad of this buff, they are gonna nerf her next and its gonna ruin her.
Maybe, if she gets more popular.
A lot of the reason for nerfs is when a character is saturated in the meta.
Not to mention, overuse presents more character interaction, which make flaws and power differences more apparent, which lead to nerfs.
I don’t see Valkyrie getting a buff *she doesn’t deserve* though. Knight and Ice Golem has definitely been more popular with the desire of positive trades and versatility of the Log compared to Valkyrie.
People don’t see her as the win condition she truly is, either. She is too slow, easily distracted, and costs too much to be an effective tank without justifying the cost. Making her more dangerous up-close makes her harder to counter now.
On top of this, she can attack faster upon deployment, AND upon reaching the tower.
I’m not saying she needed the buff, but the buff will definitely make her more popular. She still requires a specific deck type to really utilize her as a win condition, and that’s where Goblin span, trifecta, and graveyard come in.
Only time will tell if she’ll get nerfed imo. People think it’s a trend that characters that are super buffed get nerfed, but there are truly logical reasons behind it. I just want Valkyrie to find a place in the game. She seems outclassed by a lot of cards, yet people like her. I mean, she sings as she murders dozens. How can you not love her? 💕
Spear goblins are screwed
You need to do some episodes on tips for keeping up with opponents cycle and elixer. It’s a constant in any deck and everyone says it’s key, but never really go into depth on tips on how to get better at it.

SG I keep track of 3 of their cards and when they show up, so if they have a hog 2.6 and i see an ice golem, i know a hog is coming. Or if i see a skeleton and ice spirit they probably have what they want now in cycle
Davded, yeah I mean everyone knows to identify the deck and then how they’re going to come at you. 2.6 is pretty easy to identify. I’m not even sure how you could make a video about getting better at something that is basically just dependent on your memory and skill. Was just a thought bc it’s a constant skill across every deck no matter what. Seems like it gets glossed over or taken for granted. I’m pretty decent at the game. 5400 pb 18 wins. This is definitely an area I could improve at though.
+SG Honestly, just keep track of your cycle. Say, if you have hog and they have tombstone, if you have hog in your hand, it's generally a safe bet that they cycled back too. After you get the hang of that, keeping track of your opponent's cycle will come naturally. You just kind of get a feel for it.
Thanks for the advice mr black. I’ll keep trying that. My original point can be seen by your last sentence though. “You just get a feel for it”. I’m just hoping there are some pros out there who can articulate it and give tips on practicing etc etc. so much of this game is in the cycle and it’s always mentioned. It’s a given. But the one thing (assuming card levels are decent) that prevents people from winning with the decks shared tbh. I feel like it would make for a good improvement video.

The new Trifecta is valk+ebarbs+rage

It's a nerf for sure, I felt it. The new DPS is lower than before. So it's basically better chip, worse defense capabilities. If you manage to mass spear Gobs, then I guess you would feel a sort of buff
IICadeII the attack speed seems so long but it's literally .5 seconds.
JK Stuffs46 It one shots bats and squeletons...its a defensive overall buff vs graveyard for sure also 3 spears kill a minion now... So ye not really that big of a nerf
IICadeII I'm not a big fan of the nerf to spear goblins. They mostly just stand there looking for a new target because their attack speed is so slow. But they are definitely better against graveyard.

Alpacalypse which would break my heart. It's not much a different for me. 3m might take a hit. But double Prince and PEKKA decks are still sure to stand. Believe me, It's not a bad update. It's just that most players tend to overreact.

I really like that you test the decks yourself because it gives us a look of how a non pro player(no offense) approaches this deck. But don't overdo it, keep it to one test game per video.
Other royale youtubers(not going to name) play decks irrelevant to the video, I find that boring, waste of time and just a way for them to fill the video and make more money. You are doing a great consistent job of uploading interesting videos about royale, you may have less subscribers than some but don't fret. Keep up the good work!

I do think it's super strong! Time will tell if it's nerfed, though. I don't think it's on their radar for some reason.
I don't think it needs a nerf. Counters hog 4 elixir for 4 fair enough. Maybe it shouldn't 1 shot minions but I don't really mind that personally.

I’m glad Valkyrie got a buff she is one of my favorite cards and I’ve used her in almost every deck I’ve ever had. I don’t think the Valkyrie is overpowered. Great video! Keep it up!

Hey Ash! In a lot of different videos, I always see that cycle decks are always a “go to” or “best climbing” deck in clash royale. So, with this in mind, I created a 2.9/3.0 balloon cycle deck.
I was wondering if you could test it out and tell me if it is any good, and how to improve it. It would make my day if you did.

Mega man intro! Also I love wizard, I used to hate him I thought he sucked and I could never get value with him. But now I switched my baby dragon for wizard in my golem deck and it is getting sooo much value!
I swear this f***ng game is so broken. Let's make hog rider and bait even stronger than ever! What a dumb idea. No wonder even the pros are leaving in droves. I've never liked fast bridge spam and that's all I see now. There's little room for anything else. Stupid game now.
Although I prefer the pro coaching you live, I like you doing a match with the deck first unless the video is something along the lines of “top 5 ________ decks in the meta.” That would just be a ladder push.
Valkryie was underrated before this buff (should have been in your sleeper video) now she is super strong.
Also Clan Wars STILL UNFAIR! My clan barely has 600 war trophies and my max trophies is a little over 5000. Faced a Dude that was a player named “mars” from Friggen CRUCIBLE WRATH and had max everything so unfair!!

Valkyrie has so many hp, and can provide lots of value. I think people will maybe stop using graveyard poison with her in the meta. Grea vid!
I have been using this deck in ladder but I substituted the gb with a miner due to it only being lvl 4. Definitely a good change for my deck!!

Can you please reach out to Supercell regarding the gems being removed from the new offers. As you can tell it’s a huge topic on Reddit currently with multiple threads including the current hottest one with over 2000 likes. Yet with all that they still refuse to address it.
I understand they are a business but it seems so shady that they removed the most valuable thing out of the “value offers”. In my opinion if they really think that 100,000 gold is worth the shop price of 4500 gems then why wasn’t today’s offer $9.99 for 4500 gems? That way people who want gems can keep the gems and those who want gold can use the 4500 gems on the 100,000 gold.

Arthur Haneline me too! Almost have them maxed! Pekka 3 musketeers is actually the deck I'll be running it for a bit; it works well against most if the meta cards (princes, valk, squishy wizards).
They’re squishier against Valkyrie, sure, but I don’t see Valkyrie being very effective outside of cycle, and Valkyrie cycle isn’t very popular.
It might get popular, though. In any case, that’d be the only matchup that cripples the 3 Muskies imo. Mega Knight already did big damage in countering them. *Maybe if the Mega Knight were paired with Spear Goblins, though....*

Valk is WAY too much. A level 7 Rare should not be able to SPANK 2 level 4 epic cards at THE SAME TIME.
Valkyrie wasn't play at all before so i think she had to be buff. I think it's normal that a level 7 rare could spank 2 level 4 epic cards. (a level 9 bomber spank a level 4 skeleton army and gards or a boulist can kill a valkyrie level 7 and knight level 9 at the same time).

This round of balances changes isn’t bad, but I do think that a couple of cards should’ve been changed.
I know most people might not agree with this, but I think the giant’s deploy time needs to be increased to 2 seconds. For 5 elixir it has a lot of hp and damage output and can be easily spammed at the bridge or in the pocket.
The spear goblins were okay as they were since now skeletons or ice spirit cannot be a positive trade against solo spear goblins
Mortar could’ve used a slight health nerf so that poison and fireball would make a bigger impact.
If royal ghost was going to be nerfed, make the invisibility timer to 1.4 rather than 1.6
Anyway most of the changes we kind of saw coming. I don’t think the meta will shift too much from what it already is.
I'll agree that the rascals are still EVERYWHERE you look at my clan chat and it's everyone requesting them. I was scared that wizard would be broken but he seems alright. Also the valk I'm glad to see her so strong but I hope she doesn't become over used.

I used the balance change deck (as I do after every balance change) and besides spear gobs, Valkyrie buff was definitely noticeable! First attack is way faster

I'll keep an eye out for that deck but haven't seen it. Rascals are everywhere dude! Pretty much every competitive deck in CRL Asia & China and dominating challenges- not as popular on ladder ATM as most people haven't leveled them up yet.

[Cannon Cart] [Cannon] [Rage] [Lightning]
Ice spirit can be changed for arrows or zap, but spirit is preferred.
Cannon Cart can be switched for Lumberjack, Hog Rider, Barbarian Ram, or Prince. Depends on what win condition you prefer. Even Balloon and Graveyard can work for this deck if you switch ice spirit for arrows.
It’s really fun and fast paced. Give it a try. Push that Valkyrie to the tower with goblins for the win!

For me they spear goblins are weak now. When they have a sliver of health they cant hit the tower. When 3 of them hit thr tower the damage they deal is about 300 dmg while they used to do 500

I don't prefer live videos from pros because then I can't see what card he has selected. I like it so I can imagine what I would do and compare it to what the pro does. You have told us to do this several times. I had a quest a few days ago to play Valk and Gob Barrel in the same deck and I made this deck with Tornado instead of Tesla and I couldn't believe how well it worked. I have never had success with bait because I play mostly ladder and run into max Ebarbs and Giant Wizard/Witch decks and knight would get overrun but adding Valk made a huge difference. Now those matches are EZ
Same thing in COC the Valk is OP back than if knew about that & i noticed everyday you change your hat in single video sometimes no hat

The spear goblins are definitely a nerf overall, the fact that my Tesla can now keep a spear goblin hut at bay without taking damage means I can preserve it longer to easily take down hog decks, or just a spammer deck in general is now just going to be so easy for Tesla/ cannon decks to work so much better

I've used Valk from the beginning. She's a very good card, but easily defeated if you know the opponent uses her.
your goblin barrel did nothing on that tower? why the heck you kept on deploying it on the center of the tower, if you send it one tile left they would have skipped that log.
Wizard, valkyrie and mega knight are all hard match ups for my main deck D: Using a homemade giant night witch deck.

Spear goblins are completely useless they made them the way they were before they do no damage since they hit at the speed of a royal giant terrible balance for spear goblin
Ash, when a pro such as jigsawqt sends in tips along with his replays, could you please read them out loud? While it may seem lazy on my part not to read the screen, I learn things much more effectively by hearing them read to me than by a block of text on a white background that does not fit with the rest of the display. Anyways, I really enjoy your videos, thanks for making them!

I've played this game pretty much since it was released but only really started being active a year ago. I hover around 4300 trophies but when I'm playing tournament standard I beat players over 5000 consistantly. And the #1 reason I am the player I am is you and your videos. I love all the deck ideas, all the little tips, and all the inside info. But most of all I love your attitude, your humbleness and your energy. Thanks for all you do for us man! I appreciate you.

Keep up the good work Ash! This kind of content continues to inspire and motivate the average player. You never know, you might just create the next pro player! PS, having your own replay in the mix is fine, you usually follow it up with the pro replay and commentary so it's no big deal. This is YOUR channel so having a place for your own game play is perfect, especially with the amount of hard work you put into your content. The quality on this channel is bar-none.
I know there is a lot going on right now in CR; but like a few others in the comments I would like a break from the craziness of updates to focus on timeless things like keeping track of opponents elixir, card rotations, cycle speed, etc.
Basically just rehashing a suggestion a few others have brought up that isn't covered much.

I come here primarily to see top shelf gameplay. I like for the focus to be on exactly what the Pros are doing in this game currently. ProvPro is probably (definitely) my favorite.
That being said, I think that you are a very good player. I think it is great when you play the deck for us. Win or lose you show us a live expectation of what it's like to play any given deck.
One small thing I could suggest is to do less "casting" for us on the gameplay and focus on just talking through the why's and how's of the content.

I've been using a valk hog deck since level 7 to get me into legendary (hog mountain now) at level 8 back in the day with hog, goblins, fire spirits, princess, ice wiz, barbs, zap and valk for thousands of games and it's got me so high trophy wise, something tells me this will be my season ever more this meta though 😂 Great video as always Ash!
Hey guys I play logbait and Im on challenger 1. Can You write which league you are and what cards lvls do you have? Btw should I change deck to this logbait with Dark Prince or rascals? Im free2play so I cant lvl up epicks really fast :/
Ash, the wizard got buff after buff also, and it was good before this new buff.
Just because pros don't use some cards, it doesn't mean they suck.. It's impossible to get all the cards to work in a balance in a strategy game.
Either way, valkyrie buff it's ok in mt eyes since she is a melee range not high damage and she has troubles against elite barbs for example, so this buff will get her ok.
Ash,could you try out this deck: Mega knight,bats,miner,poison,log,bandit,ice golem (or knight/valkyrie),electro wizard. Its a really powerful deck. Please try it out. Also,great vid man!
I requested 4 Dark prince from the donation in clan, but 2 cards were missing. I submitted 5 request to CR and they ignored my request. I am very disappointed to their customer service . This glitch happened twice in the past. Ash , what do you think what I can do to ask them debug this glitch?
