Takes you back to a time that most folks will never get to witness. An awesome display of the power these amazing animals have. They are the most beautiful and powerful horses on earth. Thank you SO much for this video!!

Quite an energetic draft horse. He looks very confident and happy with his work.

That is so awesome, I almost can't stand it. I've got a team of small horses but videos like this inspire me to do even more. Thanks for posting.

This type of work has all but died out on the east coast- woods have been cut flat by heavy equipment & foreign companies- Hit & Run.

Worked @ camp near Espanola in the '50 s that had a 🏇 you could hook up and off to the landing he would go alone. Somebody would unhook him and back he would go. He knew break time and going to the barn time.

im curious to know where in NW ontario you are working im from thunder bay myself ..also i think that is soo cool my great grandfather ran a bush camp with 200 men and horses back when people used to strip cut and pile by hand and then in the spring haul it all with horse to lake nipigon and put it on the ice.

is there a possibility of putting a skidding cone or sled on the logs so the horse wouldn't be stopped by stumps? seems like a lot of wasted time and pain for the horse, being suddenly stopped like that.
