I can't believe that thing resigned! Was kinda funny. But man with that many resources I would be massing up those buildings too. I guess they don't have the handicap boost though, which delays them from massing up an army quickly and attacking early I guess. I was confused by this as well :/
When it got my walls down there was a massive attack on my TC, but when I defended it the AI just stopped trying to attack. It's got potential if it could keep on the pressure

This is definitively my favorite Aom mod, since it is in my opinion just a straight upgrade over the vanilla Ai and other mod Ai. I'm not that great of a player hence I don't play against the 9,999 Elo difficulty, so it's a bit of a bummer that it seemed somewhat strange to you. Usually it feels a bit more intelligent to me in comparison to other Ai and while it is not the most aggressive Ai, from my experience it should attack by far under the 10 minute mark even when it doesn't get any handicap so it's a bit surprising it just stood still for 15 minutes. Your remark that you're unsure whether it is even stronger than a vanilla titan Ai sounds especially weird to me since I'm pretty sure that the 1800 difficulty felt at least as hard as titan does even though they only gain a 75% handicap instead of the 100% of a titan. There is probably some problem's with the way the 9,999 is coded, but if you want to make it a bit more difficult you apparently can for that difficulty specifically set the difficulty to titan to cut in half the time it takes for the Ai to build units and buildings. It has many features that make me prefer it over other Ai. One of the biggest is the variety of difficulty and more importantly being the only Ai that I know of that allows you to play against multiple Ai in different difficulties in the same game. It is also the only Ai that is not a slog to win against in Conquest since it surrenders when it doesn't see a way to come back, which makes it possibly to play without imo pesky World Wonders. A huge advantage of this mod is also that the developper is actively working on it and taking feedback to enhance the mod.
I think the reason I was a bit confused is I was expecting the 9999 AI to be next to impossible to beat. I think I did exploit it a bit by stopping its tcs and maybe messed with how it functions from there. It was definitely hard to push and end even 1-2TCs ahead

I playtested it for the developer so I can explain some of the questionmarks that pop up: - All Antisthenes AIs have the original AI as a base, but have been improved with 1. a solid build order (which doesn't really matter compared to the Handicap bonus), 2. some better micro scripts and 3. a variety of strategies that it chooses arbitrarily or depending on map. - IMO most strategies are subpar, for example the "I defend and rush Titan+Wonder" lacks tempo and gives too much liberty to the human player. And it's not going to be a fun game anyway. - Additionally it resigns sooner and prioritizes different unit compositions and buildings. The Greek AI feels stronger than the Norse, because it slow pushs with Petroboli backed by Towers, and clearing them drains your resources quickly. So a timing strategy such as yours is key. - The 9999 AI gets endless resources and it sometimes does all its stuff (TC grabs, Heroic Age, all upgrades etc.) in addition to rushing just as the regular Titan AI, but I'm not sure when she does and when not. *I feel like it generally attacks later (not **6:00**-**8:00** but **10:00**-**12:00**) which makes it feel easier because at that point I'm set up with everything.* The danger comes afterwards when it pumps units and buildings into you and you can't keep up in production/resources. But if you win before, lategame doesn't matter. - *I've realized that the AI tries to be "clever" and evaluate who is stronger; if it feels weaker, it won't attack and try to defend/boom.* I guess when you've built your TCs and denied hers, you were considered too strong to attack? @@ikosaeder3625 Appreciate the detailed feedback of how it works! I agree that deciding who is stronger is a good quality for lower Ai but 9999 should be attacking constantly. Maybe the map being Oasis caused it to play more defensive?
This Ai pumped units and buildings out so quickly I needed to be producing from a lot of buildings at once, and wanted destroyers and fire siphons for their buildings. Fanatics are a good unit in general though
In the 2nd age, you took the hero upgrades cheaply. Why didn't you choose Hyperion in the 3rd age? I think Heroic Renewal, which is the most important feature in the game, combined with a fanatic character in the 4th age, makes it invincible. Unlike other civilizations, you cannot heal yourself during the battle. This feature might be the most broken thing in the game. Not only do your infantry become heroes cheaply, but it's like you're constantly using Athena's Restoration ability. The Titan's health regeneration doesn't matter much. Titans are easy to hunt. However, there is no counter to heroes in the game, especially not for a hero who constantly regenerates health. Finally, as I said, a fanatic infantry turned into a hero is unstoppable. I think regeneration is the most important feature for Atlantean civilizations: Gaia: structures + mythological units + titans Kronos: heroes Oranos: mythological units + heroes + titans

Looks like all this did was like the titan ai the handicap is cranked up. Like titan sits at 100% handicap this seemed to have 400% for resources, less for building. Then had specific orders for contruction. Defend towers with wall segments. Build defensive position with walls towers and forts. Like humans, spam more military buildings to get units from. But like the titan ai even with all that it still doesnt know how to properly manage eco to military. That thing had thousands upon thousands of resource going unused. Maybe in a game with it having an ally titan ai it would give tribute resource and stuff to allow titan to attack and advance even faster, Or something, lol idk

It deleted it right away I think so would get most of the resources back. But looking at the post game it had more resources than it could ever spend

It has many features that make me prefer it over other Ai. I think regeneration is the most important feature for Atlantean civilizations:
Gaia: structures + mythological units + titans
Kronos: heroes
Oranos: mythological units + heroes + titans
Are Gigantes always better than Lampades?
Depends what you’re going for. Gigantes are good vs buildings but lampades are better vs other myth units
