Nice, a REAL sleeper, cant beleive how many people build "sleepers" then paint them purple and put alloys on

At least it looks like a sleeper... But you can kind of tell by the fantastic noise it's making that it's not standard :D.

What a neat car. I know nothing about it and have only seen this video but I bet a turbocharged and intercooled 3.8L Buick V6 would work great in that. Turbo Buicks aren't loud at all and even with open headers it would just hiss as it came up on the boost.

True definition of a sleeper. Still on steel wheels!

What rear axle are you using, and what ratio?

Toyota Celica mk2 or mk3 (can't remember which but only difference is mk3 is slightly wider)
      3.9:1 ratio.
We used Celica axles because the pcd matched the front disc brake conversion which used Marina bits.
Plus if you found a Celica GT they had slippy diffs. But most yard owners didn't know so you could get an LSD axle really cheap.
The Marina van hubs were the same pcd as the Celica.
This also let us use Austion A60 wheels or Triumph 2000 wheels which took Morris Minor hub caps.
Not sure how we discovered all this pre Internet days. Probably hours wandering around breaker yards!

Thanks for the technical info. I also gave a H.P. Fiat 2 liter that is going into one of my Morris’s. I’m not going to be racing, but the original rear end wasn’t built for that torque or horsepower on a daily basis. I’m in the states, so I’ll look for a Toyota axle. Thanks!
