Really interesting insight into your favourite tools. I am sure every guitar builder would pick 5 different tools from each other once the standard ones have been removed. From my own perspective on creating I wouldn't be without my Pro Edge sharpening system. It allows me to always have sharp tools that are perfectly ground. Not something I could get on with when I was doing it by hand. My second favourite has to be my air compressor. Its usually the first thing that is switched on in the workshop and I use it every time I am in there. Great for removing dust from within grain through to helping clear up at the end of the day. Also I use it with an airbrush as well as with a pressure pot for casting resin.
I have sharpening stones but I must confess that it's an area where I'm not yet fully up to speed. It's always more fun to work on a guitar when I get home from work rather than sitting and sharpening my planes and chisels, but I need to do it more regularly! If I was better about it, my sharpening kit might have made the list too :)
