Packer was such a patriot and we are enriched by his sacrifice and service. I will make sure my grand-daughters remember his sacrifice for them and all who live under the umbrella of freedom provided by such men and women. It is often asked, "where do we get such men as this?" I say they are the sons and daughters of America. God Bless and keep you Sgt. Packer.

Heartbreaking ... we've got to get a government that doesn't throw our heroes' lives away, by trying to bring civilization to nations that don't want it.
Amen Brother. It’s terrible that this president has us on the edge of world war three, after say the last president would get us into war. It was a horrible day, May 17, 2007 the day we learned of Steven’s death, on my son Andrew’s birthday. Andrew did his tours in Iraq & Afghanistan. He ended up being Airman Of The Year 2 times.
My father saw many of his comrades in arms die to communist backed forces. He himself had to traverse almost 700 kms filled with these rabid, violent people, with only a platoon for protection and scores of civilians to be defended (the mercs and guerrilla forces killed many civilians back then). The Colony Wars were at least righteous because soldiers were protecting civilization and hundreds of thousands against thugs. The wars fought by brave, honorable US servicemen and servicewomen were often induced by people like neocons and this current president. Soldiers deserve honorable leadership, soldiers deserve a president like Reagan or Trump. Enough of the disrespect of veterans and those who risk their lives for the country. Enough.
