  • This is a tutorial video for beginner snowboarders or people trying a t-bar lift on a snowboard for the first time. Believe me, this could be sometimes a frightening experience!! 😅 T-bars are designed with skiers in mind, so the way to ride them is different on a snowboard. Hopefully this video helps you ride these with confidence. In fact confidence is the key!!!

      I think all lifts are safe if you use them correctly, but yeah! If you fall on these, you don't fall that far down 😅

      Right after I made that comment I saw a short where a snowboarder didn't take his foot out of the boot (probably bc he was riding up a steep hill & he somehow let go & I kid you not, he knocked down atleast 8 ppl sliding all the way back down that hill!! They looked like bowling pins & he was the ball 😂 There was one part though were he slammed pretty hard into one guy, I'm sure he was hurt, but the rest was like watching something off the Benny Hill show 😂

      😂 I felt bad for laughing after I saw him ram that one person, but the rest made me think that would be me on a slop! 😂 I've never snow skied before. I grew up on the water so, water skiing & various other water sports is what I enjoy. I'm at the age now though where I don't see myself fearlessly skiing down a massive snow covered mountain especially with 2 feet on a board lol, but love to watch you all. Thanks for sharing, just subbed. ❤️

      we stuck to it and snow stuck to us, but we got it after a few tries...
      it also helped that we had years of skiing on our belts 😉

    I can ride a double black but these things still give me anxiety. Traumatized as a child.

      @@ridewithr yeah, I don't know why they named it t-bar. Cus it's not looking like a t😅

    • @ridewithr
      @ridewithr  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Well... if you turned the thing around it would look like a "T", I guess. In Spain, where I'm from, it's called "percha", which means "hanger", like the ones for clothes 😅

  • @RG-xi3rd
    @RG-xi3rd 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Another reason to hate one plankers. 2 skiers can ride a T-Bar no problem. A one planker has to ride alone because they don't have as much control as a skier does.

    • @ridewithr
      @ridewithr  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for your comment! 🙂🙄 We don't "have to" ride it alone, it's possible to ride with someone else, RG-hi3rd. But this is a beginner tutorial and it's just easier and more comfortable to do it like this. You can wait for a spot when no one is going and just go alone, it's not a problem. The most important thing is to respect other people and their choices. Have a great day!

      snow boarding might not be as easy or convenient but it looks just as fun

    • @SleepyMongoose
      @SleepyMongoose 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I tend to get beginner skiers to ride alone also, because when they fall (and most do their first few times) they don't take another person down with them.
