Thanks for this review and I was really close to pulling the trigger on an Ecells bike but seeing how you got treated about the damaged items and the fact they shipped it with loose spokes and the wheel needed to be fixed, I was like "no thanks to ecells bikes"

@@twowheelrides1628 I have heard other China to US shipped bikes have similar issues. The only way to get a fully ready to ride bike is to buy used or from a local bike shop

This bike is actually pretty awesome. Things happen in shipping and they are a small company with big orders. It takes time to get what you need. Not a bad video but you're not very skilled and that's fine but don't rip on a product because you don't know how to use it.

    • @McShakyFPV
      @McShakyFPV  13 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

@ no ripping. It shouldn’t take a professional rider to be able to ride on the trails that I’m riding on. If you look at my other videos, you’ll see that I fixed all the problems and I’m very happy with it.

Thank you! I purchased a different bike based on all the “reviews” and it died. All these one ride videos are not reviews they are sales pitches by guys who get free bikes. A real reviews is your video but also a month, year etc of ownership. I did buy the Five star because basically the company blows every other away, your experience not with standing

Good video but you can't continue to pedal when going over very rough terrain with rocks and stuff and not expect to get pedal strikes on any bike. You also leaned into a turn on the street while still pedaling which can give you strikes. Does that bike have a torque sensor or cadence sensor?

thank you thank you thank you
    Really appreciate the "real" rides!
Ive a channel to that I just show off my toys and this yt stuff is a lot of extra work for us that are just average [unpaid] guys :)
I live in North Idaho & there are miles of logging roads to ride on.
my ebikes are ok for the park trail "legal" purpose
Ive been wanting to see the 5 star on a dirt path on a long climb of a grade thats not a paved highway.
my favored is the step thru & Ive asked several places about the ecells & the wired If they might be good for logging roads - [no replies as those folks were city street & rail trail type riders]
my leaning is toward the ecells and "think" it might be a good ebike for the mountain roads.
the grades up are 2 to 3 miles of 16% to 33% in a few places.
once on top you follow the ridge for miles, then into a valley with another climb
my plan is to not go fast up these, fast enough to stay upright to maybe 6 to 12mph at most (?)
my ebikes are the 750 watt hubs and they go "if" ya get a run at it & they like to go 14 and faster,
I prefer low n slow less shock on me & the bike.
and yeah pedal strikes happen to me as well [my feet are size 15 and Im thinking of shorter crank arms for my mtn road ebike -
I like range, so might get that extra battery option.
my hope its the step star will be good as the 5 star is impressive [to me it is]
that hentech motor looks to be really good.
Im hoping the ebike will be a good choice for my "want" to go where a loaded truck can go.
Ive looked at AWD, but maybe a mid drive will be better.
to see you take your up that long steep grade & to do the single track! wow that is impressive.
is yours a torque sensor or cadence? [some are just better than others, mine are cadence & "ok"]
I have adjusted my PAS % [that helps a lot]
most of my mtn road climb use might be throttle for control with some pedal (?)
my ebikes are cadence and want to send me too fast. so I slow my pedal and that helps a lot.
thanks for your videos, I really appreciate seeing them
really good to see some "real" off road use [too many thing a lawn is off road]
& yeah ebikes arrive with issues, sounds like you are beinf taken care of. :)
my Favoto ebike had a missing washer & they sent me the whole skewer! that was extremely nice of them.
ecells service seems to be good to ppl as well -
approaching them in a "kind" way is a good thing.
Ive had good luck with various service places with the "kind" approach.
they are my friends - never met them, But I want something ;)

@@bellyacres7846 thank you so much for letting me know. My format worked for someone and I really appreciate you providing so much feedback. Mine came with a torque center and I took it since they had it already built and could ship immediately. That would be my number one suggestion is to buy something they already have in stock versus waiting up to three months. I’ve heard in some cases to get your bike.

  • @TheLionsDen72
    @TheLionsDen72 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

It’s unfortunate to hear about the display and issues getting in touch with them. The pedal strike issue though is no fault of the bike though. That comes down to the rider and the terrain you are in. All of you pedal strikes would have happened no matter what e-bike/bike you were on.
There is a difference in riding a single track trail compared to a dirt track trail, paved trail, and/or road way.

@@TheLionsDen72 I’m not faulting the bike, just letting people know that if they ride anything other than flat terrain it can happen, a lot. They’ve been slow but eventually made good on my warranty claims

I bought the wired freedom and the wobble is real, but it seems to go away completely whenever you remove the rear battery.

My 5 Star was a little jumpy at first. I tuned the front and rear shock, and it was solid. Try it with your Wired, and you should be good to go. I upgraded the rear shock to a RockShox. They are probably the same as the DNM shock.

When you're resting your feet on the pedals while riding, keep the pedals perpendicular to the ground. Don't rest one foot lower than the other like you are at 22:46. That's a recipe for disaster when the pedal strikes at that speed.
