- Navi Mumbai International Airport, officially renamed as, DB Patil International Airport, or Dinkar Balu Patil International Airport, and more recently named as Adani | Navi Mumbai International Airport is an international airport being constructed near the city of Navi Mumbai, Maharastra, India. It will serve in parallel with Mumbai's existing Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA), becoming the second airport of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. Once completed, both airports will serve as India's first urban multi-airport system.

Ese hi cleanest city ke top 3 me nahi aata navi mumbai 🌝

nothing grand about it, its a airport extension, as main Mumbai airport has lot of traffic. very late plan execution. maybe you want to chk out airports of the world, they are massive. and airports are not the face of development in a country. We, the people are face of development.

Wow this is so good to see. We used to pass through the JNPT Road for more than a decade, and all we could see was a board reading Navi Mumbai Airport Site- thankfully development happening at good pace. I would really want to be return to Mumbai ten years from now- its going to be amazing.

@@ac.bhartiya not a curse, there is no other option, all other major citites across globe have done it, they all have 3-4 airports, see London, New York etc. Why should we stay behind? This airport is closer to both Navi Mumbai and Mumbai. If world is doing it, why should we overthink for our development? You contruct airport anywhere, it is anyways going to destroy the nature.

Itne saare natural mangroves remove kiye, river ki natural flow ka direction change kar diya, aur bohot saare trees nikal diye. Aur phir bakwas bhaasan karne ki over reduce carbon foorprints. Giving good updates about NMIA. But to need little correction as a Panvelkar, i am seeing the Board of Airport Since 80's my childhood time and was supposed to commercialize/fully functional by 2008. But due to political reason, it got delayed too much and now it is taking shape.

2 runways is not enough I think. There needs to be space for a 3rd runway because Mumbai will become a transit hub, just like Dubai is for flights to Europe and America

Yeah, 2 runways aren't enough but sufficient enough to handle large number of flights. Transit hubs like London Heathrow and Dubai International also operate with two parallel runways.
@@AnimeshR if you're right then it's good otherwise 2 runways are not enough for a new airport in a city like Mumbai.

This airport should be named as Mumbai- Navi Mumbai airport like London -Heathrow and London - Gatwick.

If Mumbai Pune bullet train priorities its good for both city beacuse both city is in between 150 -180 km its ideal for bullet train and under 1 hour commute between both city really decreased traffic on Mumbai Pune highway which is already conjusted. Rather Mumbai Ahmedabad bullet train India should first priority small distance of 200-250 km
Example are Ahmedabad - vadodara
2) Mumbai - Pune
3) Mumbai - Nashik
4) Delhi - Chandigarh
5) delhi - jaipur
6) Delhi - agra
7) Chennai - Bangalore - Mysore
8) Thiruvananthapuram - kochi
mum to pune HSR route needs proper study first. topography is tough and uneven
@@jaguarunleashed4935 we have examples in China where they built bullet train to lahsa which had more elevation, I know mumbai pune have drastic elevation different but engineers can solve that I think.
@@topicone1417 ur not getting the point. tibet landscape is high altitude area but its a flatter terrain . pune western ghats might be less altitude but the gradient and topography is uneven . this is why technically it might be easier to build (HSR ) railways in some of the high altitude but "FLAT" terrains of ladakh than the western ghats

Stop saying navi mumbai international airport. Sharad pawar planned to move all navi Mumbai villages to nagpur and form a city here. The villagers didn't even ask for it. Compensation provided was also close to nothing. Later DB patil fought for villagers and because he is the barrier, the Government resorted to sending army to his village, one morning and get him killed. He has sacrificed his life for villagers that too asking for justice.

I have myself seen the agreement the local residents/farmers signed while handing over their land to the govt, they have been compensated 2-3 flats each in the residential buildings that will be built near the airport, which is worth in crores. not sure about the army part, but listening to the other part I am sure other part is also nonsense
