Got to chime in and agree with everyone asking for 3rd person. The characters have a unique look and distinct movement style. Why are we hiding this?

I love the idea of the player character being abducted from their family and trained by the enemy to become a soldier against their own kind, then eventually becoming free to reassimilate themselves into their people and culture. It makes for fascinating storytelling. Looking forward to the release.

If Avatar was real, it would be the same real story of the native Americans in the Americas. Conquered or exctinct. The United States was forged upon blood, suffering, sweat, and pain. If we never advanced westward for the frontier. The United States wouldn't be the super power it is today.

I hope there will be a game mode where you can freely just live your life without accomplishing any missions. Just wander around the planet, explore Pandora's world, interact with other animals and Navi people without actually fighting, and be in self-defense mode. I would find that very therapeutic to live a virtual life elsewhere without problems.

I do like the idea of this game with us playing as a Navi who was taken from her parents at birth and raised by the humans to be a soldier presumably they decided to end the Avatar project with her now slowly but surely becoming more Navi again and I do hope that the main character actually ends up discovering the tribe that she was born into

@@HTMN161, for me it's a personal preference since I don't have the sensory feed back to operate in FPS mode like I do with my actual body. In third-person mode it makes it easy to respond to incoming threats. It also feels less disorienting since there's camera consistency in third-person mode, whereas you are the camera in FPS games, which is insanely hard for me to operate in.

It would be wonderous to have a sequel where we explore the western oceans. To learn to hold our breath, to ride an ilu, glide on the back of a skimwing, meet a tulkun to call sister/brother. Please Ubisoft!

The first game was so gorgeous. Loved how you had to search in flora and fauna. Loved the interaction with the animal kingdom and it was one of the first 3D games. It worked so well too.
Hope this won’t be too linear and you are going to have freedom like in the old game.

@444ranger444 the story line isn't just that, you are learning how to become navi, and embrace your heretige.
Yeah I loved being able to play as a Navi and then as a human with the different weapons and resources. It made it more unique at the time.

Let me guess: you have to find high vantage points to scout the surrounding areas and you will find enemy outposts every 5 minutes to clear. And you can parcours the area and dive head first into piles of stuff to hide.

This looks visually amazing, kinda giving a Dying Light/Titanfall feel with the movement and traversal. Like most people im kinda bummed that we can't go 3rd person but I still feel like the 1st person will help immerse us more into Pandora and it's beauty.

The differences between 1st and 3rd person modes in this game with make immersion amazing. Plus from what ive seen it had cenematic cutscenes where we get to see our character interect and facial expressions. I think this is gonna be litt.

Well the game is out. I could not be more happier in this game. Its pretty much exactly what i wanted. Things aren't perfect. But they are so close to perfect i cant stand it. I just wish melee combat was fleshed out and stealth kills. Other then that. Maybe some kind of "Cooking Feast" But anyways thank you Ubisoft for imo not dropping the ball.

This is legitimately the single greatest cure for Post Avatar Depression. Know its unlikely, but I hope they make some sort of Way Of Water expansion where we can ride skimwings and swim with those huge whale things... Maybe a sequel or spinoff game? That would literally be the greatest thing ever.

When the explosive arrow scene showed up, it gave me instant flashbacks from my far cry days and I hope that this game won't be too extremely chaotic, bugged, and full of glitches. I want to enjoy playing this game so bad.

@@outinspace6079 graphics is not only realistic textures that are copied from real world. Reimagining of a fantasy world with this high details is outstanding. Ubisoft has been always a flagship company in graphics starting from Far Cry and then Assassins Creed!
@@powercoder Ubisoft games visually and environmentally peaked in 2018 after that it was only down hill from that point and considering that this game is going to be coming out on PS5 is just flat-out embarrassing Horizon zero dawn came out 6 years ago on a last gen console and it's light years ahead of this game.

Really hope they add third person gameplay. They already have us third person while on mounts so we might as well get it at all times. Kinda awkward to switch from first to third person everytime we mount something.
I don't mind the first person, but personally like exploring in third person. Despite all the Dying Lights of the world, I still find first person parkour and vertical exploration awkward 😂

Seems like when you are flying, it switches to 3rd person, the rest is 1st person.

Wow, the little bit of forest exploration gameplay, the lighting and graphics looked as good as Horizon forbidden west, and that game was gorgeous. Can't wait to immerse myself in this world. Gonna play every little side quest.
You need your eyes checked...Horizon is light years ahead of this.
Horizon's graphics are much better than these; even the poly counts on some of the objects in this trailer were weirdly low. Graphics aren't the most important part of a game but with a property like Avatar and with current gen console/gaming PC capabilities, I hope they step up the visuals before launch.
