I had always loved J Cole's music. It has that something that makes you want to go back and think about your life. This video is a masterpiece, one of your best works. Keep more of them coming.
this album is by far one of my favorites of all time, and you put it into a perspective that went deeper than even i fully understood. from using past experience to breaking down cole’s bars and lyrics and what they symbolized all the way to the absolutely wonderful conclusion, this analysis is a masterpiece. u did it again jake.
This video spoke to me. Soulr does such a good job at breaking to stuff Down, he really gets what purpose means and can grasp stories that are told. I really feel like a lot of the messages, (Cole’s messages), really relate to what I’ve been going through. -I have my demons -I don’t know where I’m going to be in a few years -I’ve lost touch of my self worth and my ability to look at others with empathy. -I may think that I’ve been following my morals, but what does that mean when your morals are wrong? what does it mean when your intentions were wrong in the first place? -What do you want in life? Do you want to decide take risk on ideal career that may not turn out in the end? Or do you want play it “safe” and invest in an idolized office job that will at least pay the bills from day to day? -Nobody knows it all, and nobody is all knowing except for God. Who you didn’t put enough time into, and couldn’t ever put enough time into. -I have an Identity crisis. I spend my days trying to learn more as I dwell on the internet. I want to make my family and parents happy. I aspire to be the ideological student who works his butt off to get where he wants to be. Yet I indulge in bad and unthought habits; At least once a day, I open up TH-cam to see my notifications, if any entertaining videos came out. -Am I really thankful for the gifts I have been given? Am ignorant of my privilege, do I ever acknowledge it to god? -I don’t know what person I will fully develop into in the future? Am I going to waste the prime of my lifetime to end up being considered a failure as I ponder on my existence? Or can I seize the opportunity to make a difference by the time I grow older? -Being on the cusp of a “destined” fate feels very scary and drives pessimism. This negativity can only be bottled with development of confidence. It takes more to be able to release the bottle... -Right now, as pointless as TH-cam comments may be, I hope I may pushing forward my development as a person, and spreading thought provoking, but open and inspiring message. Also I’m making this comment is to let out my thoughts and feelings; to let world know my experience. All the while, in the back of my mind-tryin to experience a sense of approval. 🛎 This sh*t’s messed up, I really had to question myself to identify that my brain still relies on a sense of approval. Lastly this video really inspires me to give a listen to Forrest Hills Drive. I’m already hype for the off season and the potential of Kendrick releasing his next album this year. So far I feel 2021 has been a good year for music. And interlude is an awesome preview for the greatness we consumers have the grace of listening to. You can not ask for anything more, no matter if Cole’s album goes up or down.

Hi there! I think I might have seen your (great and touching) videos before, but the one about Mac Miller made me to be attentive to you. I value your honesty and the introspection you put in every video. Each second of the video makes sense and seems to have intention. The moment you talked about depressive periods and the power of that one good friend, was just a very deep and relatable tought. That gave me hope to this dark period I'm in. Thank you. Wish you the best.
I agree bro wet dreamz is dope. Many rappers be fronting when rapping about sex often they portray themselves as a player but j. Cole keeps it real stateing how nervous he was when he lost his virginity. Many people can relate to this song and that is j. Cole' best skill is being relatable.

This sh*t’s messed up, I really had to question myself to identify that my brain still relies on a sense of approval.
This.I felt that.
Good comment
Still no Kendrick album tho 😕
I do no comment very often but . This was very uplifting. Thank you
Mahn I don't know who you are but this video made my day, all these days I been idolizing cole but I didn't understand half the thing he said cuz my English ain't that good
you did such an amazing job on this video. If I can take anything away from this video.. it's "comparison is the thief of joy". That is so true, what a great video
Hey Jake, been watching your stuff for a while now. As usual amazing. This video specifically gave me goosebumps, it is really well done!!!
I must have listened to Forest Hills Drive (both studio and live versions) a hundred times by now over the past 6 years, so this one speaks to me a little bit more than most. Thanks :)
Just recently rediscovered Cole man is something else
this song "she dont want to be save" wow, it was my cry tears in forest and relief song. my respect to us all.
i love your voice my man, it complements this style of video so well
Wet dreamz is a banger
It's the first song that allowed me to as you said picture a movie in my head
i've seen this video many times, but this is the first time i really payed attention to it, it's a masterpice. i enjoyed every second of it... love u
There are two artists who deserve more recognition. J.Cole & Kendrick Lamar. Both of them made music that resonates with everyone.
Smashed it. I hope J. Cole sees. this. So well made.
The fact that this video is actually free is insane! Can’t wait for the off-season🔥
This video is an absolute masterpiece
This is a beautiful video ....glad this showed up in my recommended
I agree bro wet dreamz is dope. Many rappers be fronting when rapping about sex often they portray themselves as a player but j. Cole keeps it real stateing how nervous he was when he lost his virginity. Many people can relate to this song and that is j. Cole' best skill is being relatable.
Dude who's mixing your audio? It's flawless I didn't touch my levels once
This video wasn’t just another great in-depth look at an artist, it’s the thought provoking discussion at the end that perfectly finished it. Another masterpiece.
The time and effort is greatly appreciated. You did your thing!
