I read this comment while playing darts at a local NYC bar & besides the fact it made me happy reading that you get an escape from his vids (i agree too, as well as MANY 350z/VQ TH-cam vids) but also due to the fact that I just recently sold my car when i came across a mint, very low mileage, one owner 08 350z enthusiast pkg, 6mt a month ago that i now own. I have been debating on starting posting vids of mine bc i dont know how to edit yet & basically i dont know what i need in order to do a good channel like these guys do.. i get a feeling that i will be successful, BUT seeing your comment made me really decide to JUST START. To bring an escape or just any sort of ‘break’ from this chaotic world we are living, gives even more meaning to me other than the fact I absolutely love my z! I don't know about "classic" or "collectible" but I think it's gonna fill the role of the 240sx in 10-20 years where most are gonna be modded and or thrashed so hard (cosmetically and or mechanically) that finding a good stock car will be incredibly difficult...I remember 10 years ago you could find a decent running 240SX here in Texas for 1-2K, now you have people asking 3 to 5 times that for something in much worse condition...the prices are also without taking inflation into account but I think yall get the point.
If anyone's interested in the 350 I'd recommend they patiently wait to come across something good, instead of spending 4 to 6K on one that's meh or a work in progress spend 8-10K on something that's low mileage, 1-2 owners tops, good factory paint, etc. Not that long ago I saw a pristine condition, low mileage, one owner 35th anniversary edition in my area for 8700$, I'm already busy with 2 cars so I wasn't the buyer, but I'm just saying those deals exist if people check their marketplaces often.
In 2003 I had my first 350Z and it was such a cool car to own, it was always a good looker, very well considered design - thanks Ajay who came up with the design Nissan went for. Definitely already a classic. Although I have new European cars for my daily drives I have my 3rd as new condition 350Z as a weekend toy - just love it - cheers from Brisbane
Female designer Diane Allen was responsible for the complete exterior design of the 350z. Ajay panchal was only in charge of the design team but didn’t come up with the design he only made sure his team was doing the job correctly.
I thought about getting a 350Z, but decided to get a 370Z Nismo instead, it's an absolute blast it's my first manual transmission vehicle and I couldn't be happier!

Just picked up a 350z Anniversary Edition with the color yellow, 3 days ago. I'm very happy with it. Well I too do think this car will be a collectors car someday. Maybe the Anniversary Edition will be even more worth than the normal Z's.

I have a 2006 enthusiast. 26k miles automatic convertible. Mint condition. Don't know jack about cars. Just enjoy driving it when the weather cooperates. These cars are so much fun to drive.
funny enough I bought my Z last year after watching a bunch of his videos lol they’re great cars and shouldn’t be kept in a garage. They’re so fun to drive and as daily drivers they have plenty of power to have fun any day of the week.

I found a 2006 350Z Roadster Touring in 2023. It's an automatic, but it was the only low-mileage, single-owner Z with no accident history I could find. To my surprise, the "manual mode" lets me shift up and down through the gears like a manual. And with my bad knee, it's actually a blessing. If anyone's looking to buy a 350Z, make sure to check the car's history. Most of those I looked at had several owners and multiple accidents.
i found a 2004 roadster manual with 140k miles but it has two owners. i’m going to look at it soon!
@@Schnitzeldawg - Check the vehicle's history for accidents or major mechanical problems using Carfax or Autocheck. It's worth a few dollars to get as much info as possible before making a purchase.
Bought a 2005 6speed convertible! Absolute blast to drive... Not because of the performance.. Just the raw feel and sounds...

I'm going to buy a 350z once I sale my Suzuki Hayabusa motorcycle. I'm so excited after watching all of these TH-cam videos.
I'm probably at 6 or 7-ish years now of ownership of a 2007 GT...these are great cars. I've looked up the production numbers, and if I read them correctly, my car is one of 12 optioned the same way for the North American market. I'm in Canada and my car is a Canada market car...5 were made in 2007 optioned like mine for the Canadian market.

Z’s are over inflated now… was once about $3500-$4500 and now is $8k-$15k with like 160k miles. Idk if it’s drift tax included. (And I’m exaggerating)

I agree, it's a classic and a great car. Sounds great, good performance, iconic looks. NFSU2 all day. I never really liked how it looked though, it felt dated almost out of the gate but Hyundai launched the Ioniq 6 which is the same "computer mouse" shape and I think it looks amazing. Maybe the 350z was a bit ahead of it's time. It's definitely growing on me.

Excellent plan! I had my 08 with 110k checked out. The engine, trans and electrical were good but it needed suspension work. I showed the report to the place selling it and got the price reduced. Worth the effort!🙂
I have to point out one thing. Z’S, Brz/gt86’s/ Genesis Coupe’s and many other 200-320hp cars arent the fastest on street. But what is the point of having 700HP and barely use it. 214 in my car feel soo good to driving. And i drove cars like m2/m4 F generation, audi s5 with 333 HP and they were really fast cars. Great cars for daily but having little thing like Z with 280HP feels really good. Ofc the handling would be Better for a sports car, but 370Z solve that problem a little. People just gotten crazy with 1200HP builds that arent really a good thing to drive it daily.

I just bought a clapped out 06 enthusiast thats been stripped 90 percent inside, has the non rev up swapped into it, has a welded diff, rear bumper cut for rear bash bar... its a pile but its my first z and i plan to get it back to its former glory. It'll be a long road because it also has a lot of cheap aftermarket junk on it that i have to replace too. Why do people treat these cars this way!

Can you afford it? Insurance will be expensive, also think about whether or not 2 seats and small cargo room is going to hurt you. But otherwise the car is amazing and has excellent reliability. Shouldn’t cause you any problems.
They suck gas like a mother, and use premium. You'll be spending a lot of money on gas.

Being there are only 1600 authentic Nismo's on earth, I really feel it would be the pinnacle Z experience! That, or if I could swing a 380RS!! Don't think I could sell the red Z or the Miata, I'm way too emotionally attached to those haha the Blue Z not so much (yet)... once it's painted I'm sure that will change though haha I wouldn't be completely opposed to trading the HR + money on top for a Nismo someday! DK's from Tokyo Drift has a very unique sound! I'd say this is close in comparison, but the closest sound you'll get to that one is the Magnaflow Street Performance Exhaust for the 350z! Appreciate your comment my friend!!

z33 chassis is only going to get expensive bc s chassis will become unobtainable. @5:15 that is the only reason they will ever get that expensive.

With the 300z,370z and the 400z that came out finally I think Nissan is competing with itself do I think the 350z like every other JDM will raise in value yes but don't think it'll reach Mk4 or NSX prices ... At least I hope not

@@sopretty43vr Yeah everyone wants their car to be sum special and the Z's are but just not 100k$ special, if they do reach that price thats a bad sign, less parts,less 350z on the road, higher maintenance cost etc
But the 350Z is turning into the new 240sx soon or later none will be stock and most will be beaten to a pulp like most of them are now and won't gain much value besides there drift tax on the chassis.

I think they don’t age well. At least the design. And that sound is horrible. But cool that it’s an affordable rwd naturally aspirated vs6, but it’s like a sister to a pt cruiser lol

Bought my 05 350z in 07 and still drives like a champ. Mainly drive it on the weekends only now though. But i still love it. Can’t see myself ever selling it. 🥹
350z and G35 are not worth investing in.. i wouldnt be proud of keeping up with a newer turbo civic lol! This is a great car to step into the car scene with as one of your first sportier cars..
I like my 350Z and my Infiniti Q60S because they are made in the Tochigi plant north of Tokyo
and use all Japanese parts. The 350Z and the G35 share the same basic platform and
the 370Z and 2014 Q60S share that same platform. . Both cars are built like tanks and are both very reliable.
They may not be the fastest in the stop light drags, but where they really shine is
in top end power and in their balanced handling. There is more to a car's performance
then just 0 - 60 times. I much prefer the overall balanced driving experience of my
Q60S and 350Z over the Civic Si or pretty much any FWD sport coupe or sedan
I have driven. To get a better overall driving experience you have to go
with one of the more exotic sports cars with a cost in the six and seven figures.
Most of us don't have that kind of cash.
