This is the best review on the 370Z I've seen on TH-cam so far. Great job. I agree with everything you've said. The Nissan 370Z is an amazing car for the price point. I got mine brand new in 2017. It's the top trim with Automatic transmission, leather seats, BOSE audio, navigation, and slip differential. I drove the hell out of that car. I intend to keep it as long as possible since new cars prices are insane.
"between 2009 and now, especially under $100,000, I do not think a better looking car exists." Agreed! Additionally, regarding interior quality this young man has given a more common sense review than most seasoned professional automotive journalists.
I’m impressed. I’m 52 and I bought a 2019 z a few years back and love it! This young man gets it. It’s not about infotainment or interior style lol. Though I also have no idea why interior gets so much criticism. It’s a sports car not a luxury car and I lovits unique cockpit like feel and layout. It’s about awesome feel, no nanny, more than enough power, systems, 6MT…. Note that 5.2 is conservative. Motor trend got 4.8.
A good video and a far fairer assessment than you usually see. I think many of the negative reviews about the entertainment system are due to the fact that Nissan never upgraded it during it's extended sale period. I have a 370z and with a few interior modifications I far prefer it to the vast majority of modern car interiors, the new Z included
Thanks man, yeah it would've been nice to see Nissan invest a little more into keeping the car up to date, but too many reviewers let that distract them from the actual driving experience, which is excellent
You just made me love this car even more. Excellent review! You showcased many of the loved and controversial elements, giving honest and decent takes. Great shots of the Z, both exterior and interior, and even a multi-angled joyride at the end. Thank you for that! Now I'm sold! Btw, what year is it?
Awesome review! I really appreciate pro's as opposed to everyone else's cons. My 2020 370Z Sport Touring is a blast to drive. You are engaged and a part of the visceral experience, plus the looks speak for themselves. Ive driven Hemi's, Lobo's, LS's, and 4 bangers to hoot. Nissan VQ's are a totaly different animal altogether. And for the same platform used for over 20 years the reliability cannot be ignored...totally a win win IMHO. Great work!
. I bought my four months ago 2019 And I love it. My only problem was that I wasn't driving manual for a long time. So I'm Burn down d clutch. Cost me a lot of money to fix. But I have a lot of fun when Drive in it❤
I'm 55 and always had a love for the Z since I first drove my neighbors 1970 fairlady z. So I purchased a 2009 370, still have it and runs great. Less than 47000 miles garage stored. Love my z ,thanks for the best z lovers video on you tube. You should start a Z club. There plenty of us in jersey.
As a Canadian the 2018 Manual Sport 370z represents some of the best value for dollar you can find for a sports car. In Canada the base model 370z got a 10,000 price drop from 2015 to 2016, but in 2018 the model trims were reworked to separate the Sport from the Touring packages. So you can grab a 2018 sport manual with no silly touch screens for a bargain.
I have a 370 z nismo tech and I feel the same way about my 370z just like you feel about you on I get tired of people talking about what they don't like is the real sports car that's how I supposed to look and drive love your video
Great review, spot on and very refreshing to get a true and honest opinion. Most reviewers secretly work for manufacturers, if they do a good job selling a car the manufacturer will give them access to more cars, so they are incentivized to benefit each other, and they will not speak the truth about the 370z because they want you to go buy the next new thing.. Keep it real man
I have a 2019 all-black 370Z 6MT sport coupe that I bought new. The mods I've done are: Hotchkis anti-rool bars, stainless steel braided brake lines, a Stillen Gen 3 long tube CAI, a Fast Intentions x-pipe dual CBE and a dyno tune done on a Dynojet chassis dyno using EcuTek software. We got a 15% uniform increase in torque across the whole rev range with a peak rwhp of 321 hp. This translates to a crankshaft peak hp of about 380. The engine is more responsive and sounds really good, with a slight burble on downshifts. The increased performance has made an already great car even more fun to drive. I am currently in the process of installing a set of all-black forged magnesium monoblock wheels from Litespeed Racing in LA. Everything you've said about this car is exactly correct, most people just don't get what this car is all about.
What year is yours? Great review. You actually made me want to go buy one. I loved the 350z, but it was so expensive back in those days. Now I make enough cash and wanted a reliable, fast sports car. 1st car I ever drove was an 85 Iroc-Z with a modified 350 engine. Now I'm trying to buy my 1st sports car.
I test drove a rental 370z with the auto for 4 days in all kinds of driving..it was a 2019...I have to agree about the interior being a Great place to sit in and the quality is excellent of all materials..everything is Ultra driver oriented...it Does Not deserve the flack it gets..2 points about these that are possible deal breakers for me: the lack of visibility to the point of it making me uneasy at times in traffic and parking situations... That and the initially incredible nice feeling, highly adjustable seats started to feel uncomfortable no matter how I tried adjusting them...Fine for short jaunts but they rally start to get to me after 2 or more hrs in seat..lower back pain, despite the lumbar adjust and the width of the bolsters feels like its too tight on my lats...and Im Not huge or overly built... the driving position gets fatigueing and arms feel too outstretched to the wheel... anyway, nit picks, sure, the car is insane but if you spend alot of time in it, in the long term this may be offputting...I had an old supra, an 82 ages ago that had recaro like seats and those destroyed my low back so bad that I couldnt enjoy the car and ultimately had to let it go.... The Z is a car I Want to like, incredibly beautiful to look at in and out, lots of power and torque like u said... This is a car that u Will turn around to look back at as u walk away!.. But u gotta be comfortable In it and u will want to feel Safe as far as visibility... for me, just not sure about those 2 points..
Great review of a beautifully designed car that unfortunately soon will be no more. This is one of the last true RWD sports cars especially considering it’s n/a V6. I’ve always loved the look of the 370z , the styling still holds its own in 2024. I’ve owned various cars after 2019 only to return to a mint shape low mileage 2015 Accord 6-6 Coupe and it’s definitely a refreshing daily driver. I feel the tech is just getting out of hand. Personally I am not buying a sports car for cool tech gadgets and more things to break & complicate things. Great video , I am looking at a 2016 that’s virtually brand new ( under 20k miles ) not my first pick in colour but it actually looks pretty damn good ( magma red) and not passion red and even though it’s a little costlier then other options around here. For the $ this car is completely worth it. I feel that the longer you hold on to this last of dying breed sports in good shape. These cars will only get more desirable. I could have and should have bought a 280ZX w/ T roof that sat in neighbour’s garage for years. Anyways appreciate the video and this summer I’ll almost 100 % be driving that beautiful 370z around. Just can’t beat this car especially with low mileage for the money.
Love my 370z and I personally pay more attention to the road/traffic to care much about a touch screen radio. Give me dials to use please and thank you
I'm a huge Z-car guy. I've owned 4 of them, including a 370z. Even so, I think the 2014-2020 Jaguar F-Type was the best-looking car for under $100k. Your acceleration data on the 2009 Mustang GT is wrong. They did 0-60 in the low 5 second range, just like the 370z.
Under $15,000 my ass, I live in Florida, only ones for less than $20,000 were auto or rebuilt title or they were messed up from someone modding it out and drifting it into a pole .
