    A true practical and powerful bike for someone like me.

    I have been owning this bike from past 6 to 7 months and I must say whenever i ride this bike I don't feel like getting of it.Thats how good that engine is.One important thing I would like to share is one who buy's this bike make sure to change the suspension setting from the stock level 3 to level 5 or 6.It is 7 way adjustable.Level 3 just too soft.Good for city use but level 5 or 6 is best for all kinds of riding.Cheers.

    • @keyosuk
      @keyosuk 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      oh... so bro the R3 shocks are adjustable? what about the brake i mean the brand of brakes used in R3?

    • @gauravsaikia9362
      @gauravsaikia9362 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Rajesh G Since my one is a non abs variant so on that point i can say that Brakes are kind of decent.Better brake pads or aftermarket ones will improve the performance even better.Rear brake is ok since rear brake shouldn't be applied much on these kind of bikes.Front brake is something which a rider needs to get use to inorder to know the correct brake pressure points.I haven't rode the 2018 abs model though.I hope it will be much better then the previous gen R3 since it is equipped with ABS.

    Damn that's a very thorough review, I just wish yamaha don't spoil it's easy going nature as a city bike and a highway machine in the next gen model because that's the usp of this bike along with that sweet smooth high revving motor, for an all out track machine there is the rc. BTW I like your helmet.

    R3's official tagline "Revs the Limit and a sport bike living in every day " after watching your review this tag line suits R3 properly .

      Hey Strell, thanks for uploading this video, it will go a long way in helping my buying decision between the RR 310 and R3.
      Do you have any suggestions for the spongy front brakes? Would switching to steel braided lines be sufficient or do we need to change the brake pads or caliper, etc?

    Hey Man,
    I have been riding for quite a long time now.
    Pulsar 180 (2006 - 2011) - 36000 kms
    Pulsar 220 (2011 - 2015) - 33000 kms
    KTM RC390 (2015 - 2018) - 23000 kms
    Yamaha R3 (currently owned) - 19000 kms
    The problem is that on my R3, I have damaged my alloy wheels twice and I have been thinking of to buy a new bike with bigger and stronger wheels. But I am confused like hell. Given that I cannot make peace with a less powerful or less refined bike, I don't have much options left. Either I stay with my R3 and ride it cautiously or buy an interceptor 650. What should I do and please suggest any other bike in 3 lac budget which is at least as potent as R3 if not more.

      No details about launch. But looking at the specs, I feel, its going to make track guys happy than tourers.

      Go for r3...it’s not expensive to maintain a 300 cc bike...yes RR310 has lower maintenance,but overall experience r3 is better in this class segment

    bro is it possible that r3 stock or modified is faster than rc390 or duke 390 because in some videos i have seen that stock r3 beating rc and duke

    • @iamstrell
      @iamstrell  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      KTM has huge torque. A decent mod on R3 wont be able to prep him to beat a KTM. But if ridden like, no exhaust + no air filter and more fueling (highly dangerous to destroy a machine), may be it will. But as per my knowledge, its hard to gain so much of power :) [Looking for suggestions for mod experts :) ]

      I parked my creta and watched it all the way. "fine line" is bloody nicely defined by u ... squiding isn't part of the riding dna amongst insane bikers.
      I need to connect with u ... infact I have booked a CBR 4weeks bk... I am not sure if I want to continue with that booking after watching this ...pls share me your email and the ways we can communicate further to avoid being disappointed. thanks much and all the best of luck for strell followers and well wishers. cheers

    Low end is not ok ok, it's faster than many of the bikes or cars in the street 0 to 60 under 3sec and 0 to 100 under 6sec that is considerably quick

    I know that what I'm about to ask is pure crazy. Cos one shouldn't compare a twin cylinder motor with that of a single. But I couldn't resist. Can you please compare the refinement, braking capacity and comfort level of r3 with that of CBR 250R? BTW, I love both the bikes.

    • @iamstrell
      @iamstrell  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      In terms of comfort and refinement , R3 is way ahead of CBR250R. Since CBR has a good front brakes, its a tad better considering the weight to stopping distance.

    Say something more about matte black , I'm so confused within both the colours , colour which distinguishes it from new r15 , I don't want people to consider it r15 seeing the colour , basically which is the better showoff colour . Please reply @Strell . I'm super confused

    • @iamstrell
      @iamstrell  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I felt black gives lot of road presence. Yes people confuse this for r15 in blue colour.

    • @kishore314
      @kishore314 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Same here with me. I'm going with matte black soon. People however are against it for the maintenance issues with dirt and scratches appearing more visibly on the black.

    How good is braking compare to ninja 300 and rc 390 and Apache 310

    • @iamstrell
      @iamstrell  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      As I told in the video, it has average braking. Not as sharp as KTM390 or ninja.

    Which bike is good for commuting and touring , .. 302R OR R3..

    • @iamstrell
      @iamstrell  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Both are good for commute and touring. For commutes, R3 feels a bit more relaxed because its comparatively lighter.
