If you Xiaomi Mi Band 6 is not syncing or not recording steps or giving incorrect heart rate or SPo2 readings then you might need to reset the tracker.
This is quite easy to do and WILL NOT lose any user data (but try syncing before you reset just in case)
If this doesn't fix your problem it might be necessary to erase the user data on the tracker and any custom settings by doing a full factory reset. this WILL ERASE ALL DATA from the band and will leave it in the configuration it was in when it arrived new.
Hopefully this helps those of you with problems or maybe returning a device or even selling or giving it to another person.

Mi band 6 menu disappeared!
The menu that appeared when I swiped the screen disappeared. icons disappeared. After I installed a 3rd party interface from my Android phone, the menu icons disappeared. I reset it to factory settings. but the menu does not come back. How can I bring it back? do you have any idea?
no idea sorry, might need to have the original firmware reflashed to it somehow
My steps have carried over to the next day for some strange reason. It generally goes back to zero steps once it hits midnight. By doing the reboot will this help? Thanks in advance

can't really just lets the battery drain completely and then let it have a full charge that often fixes it
Im trying to do it from my phone's app because my mi band went black and it "on" but has no display, but still connected to the app. Trying to erase it so i can throw it out

Hi, my device is not showing anything on the screen. It blinks for a sec if I swipe once every while. Do you know if there's a reset button? Can't follow your steps, as screen is blank.
sounds like screen failure, the thin wire that connects the circuit board to the screen is quite delicate and can come loose or crack

Hi mike….thanks for this useful information. I just got the M6…but an older version. I’m trying to change the clock face setting of the watch. Every time I go to dial settings , it keeps saying data loading failed…Java setting unknown host…unable to resolve host…no provider associated with that name. Any advice on what to do?
not sure sounds like a communications error with the download server, it might have been taken down or try again later

all i can suggest is let the battery go completely flat and hope it resets the image on screen, but sounds like a screen failure to me

have you tried pairing with another device? that is a good test to see if the bluetooth is fried

Not sure? Maybe unsub and then sub again with all the notifications on? TH-cam will also not tell you about subbed videos if they think you won’t like the subject

Yes, thank you Mike. I did just that and got my data and all the Apps restored after I mistakenly hit the factory reset on mi xiomi band 6.

Do these bands works good and have all the functions available on ios? I'm asking because not so long ago, ios prevented some functions to works on these but not android.

@@mikesunboxing a friend of mine bought a bluetooth OBD2 dongle to check code on his car only to find that it wouldnt work with ios but worked fine with my android. But as I said, it was quite a few years ago..
