Two percent inflation is a very anemic economy. The Fed’s warped policies are holding the US back from real growth for the sake of asset holders. It’s a shame.
If we need a 100% tariff, then we are not competitive. Why have tariffs on green tech like EVs? As someone who supported manufacturing my entire career, our policy to bring back those jobs is simplistic and poorly targeted. Too bad we didn't fight harder to keep supply chains here when it mattered.
China builds solar panels or EV batteries using coal!! what kind of green is that???
A big problem is that China funds targeted industries in such a way that private companies can't truly complete. Though, I don't think tariffs are the way to go. I think it should rather be infusing talented ventures with cash.
It is not too late to rebuild manufacturing here and the last few years show it.
Why do we then need tariffs on EVERYTHING!
From the discussion of China, supply chains and clean energy, it seems to me like Yellen has read the book "The War Below
Lithium, Copper, and the Global Battle to Power Our Lives" by Ernest Scheyder. I'm halfway through it myself.
Where is she getting her information????
UGA❤
Considering the volume of data that needs to be analyzed I think AI should be used by the FOMC to determine interest rates.

Yet, we want to get green energy!
So why the 100% on solar panels?
And Ms. Yellen said that consumers pay the added price of tariffs. So won't these tariffs jyst rause prices, inflation?
How about you cut the government spending? Billions upon billions going to waste. Taxing high earners is nothing compared to government incompetence.
The treasury is a joke.
