What's funny about Trudeau's situation is that it was entirely avoidable had he kept his 2015 campaign promise to enact electoral reform. It will be very interesting to watch their election next year to see if he'll even be opposition leader, or if the NDP will retake it's place as the left's party in Canadian politics.

"I've been here" is a rather weak version of "I have been the responsible leader of this country". Honestly, I don't see a better leader for Canada than Trudeau, but it's important to reaffirm reality clearly. The lack of building sufficient new housing in particular is a policy oversight that needs to be addressed firmly. "Been here" isn't firm.

In Canada, our leaders aren’t rulers. Justin is the leader of the Liberal party. He only had a majority one term in Canada. You need a majority to have control over the government. He’s had a minority government and had to work with the other parties. I should say his party. We are not the US.

Problem(not an issue, its a REAL problem) is, TOO MANY homes are being built with top teir designs to get the TOP PRICE in selling, which is mainly just "EYE CANDY" to the home buyers who wind up paying to much for what they can actualy reasonably pay for(Overextending a budget can be brutal in a variable mortgage), ... but this is where the BIGGEST profit margin is for the Property Developers.

We leave family out of politics. It is a common courtesy, of course. But also a wise policy. Politicians are used to having their every word, every gesture scrutinized: do you remember the furore over Obama’s tan suit ten years ago? They develop thick skins. But their spouses and libidos should be off limits. They didn’t run for el3vtion: they are private citizens. If we don’t do that, we will lose potential candidate who would refuse to run for office to save their families being mistreated in the press. And if we did that, the only candidates will be the jerks who sacrifice family life. Let’s not do that to Trudeau, Poilievre, Singh, etc.
