I really love this. Varl was Aloy's oldest friend and closest confidant (no offence to Erend). He was the only one until Beta that she opened up to about Rost, so it makes sense he'd be the first one she told about Seyka. Plus it really is just heart-warming to see Aloy be vulnerable like this and be open to her feelings for Seyka. As an aside, I think it also makes Aloy's initial reaction to seeing Varl and Zo after Death's Door make more sense. To me, at least. Varl had opened himself up to more and had found someone he could be with. At that point Aloy maybe thought it could be something she'd want but never thought she could have, so was a little jealous. But now with Seyka there's a chance for her to have it.
The dialogue changes depending if you spoke to him before the last mission or if you didn't. I appreciate that for someone like me who likes the little details and likes to try different outcomes. If you visit Varl after every major mission in the Burning Shores, the final conversation is a bit different too. I love those Guerrilla people!
Thank you for this playthrough! I can't play the game but this series is easily one of the best out there, and it's great to experience it by watching someone who also really likes it. :)
I think they said they have 6 months until nemesis arrives, and Zo is only a few weeks pregnant when she tells Aloy so she’ll honestly just be sidelined in part 3
Varl was very special to Aloy. Maybe she was a little jealous of his relationship with Zo ?. No matter, she has found someone she cares about, and after all, isn’t that what all of us want? Thank you Guerrilla for another touching moment.
I don't know if it was my ps5 but Seika was an absolutely worthless npc. She couldn't follow Aloy up a ramp or ladder so you always had to backtrack. I think her rescue in the end was helpful but other than that she whined and brooded a lot. I told her to take a hike, glad we got that option.
Lol, What?? So that's why you hate her? Lmao. Well, it's your game you can do whatever you want. I liked her a lot! She was a delight. Her AI was very helpful in every fight, she tied and froze machines for me. And Aloy couldn't say yes to her fast enough. That beautiful picture is now my profile on my computers. Seyka is cool, she's what Aloy would be if Aloy had a better upbringing lol.
@Forbidden Dawn This is an exquisitely selfish perspective. Is it any wonder the world is in the state that its in when a person refuses the SLIGHTEST behaviour modification to benefit another person (or in this case a great many)? Yes, Horizon came out a year ago. But guess what? Not everyone has played it! After all, it remains in the top 10 downloads across ALL of PSN, one of (if not the) the most popular game store on the PLANET. And Sony continues to sell PS5 consoles with the software bundled into it. And a flurry of XBox players will experience it as they are converted to Playstation gamers. And PC players that will eventually play the inevitable port? What about low-income gamers too poor to have not had the opportunity played this yet, especially in times where inflation is extremely high? Saying "it's been out a year" is like saying "if you haven't played it yet and you experience spoilers, it's your own fault" and ignores the fact that not everyone, despite their wishes, has had the opportunity to do so! And yes, the video being posted in a list was the result of an automated system. But all video's are on this platform are, and are expected to be in order to increase content-creators reach, WHICH IS PRECISELY WHY THE TITLE SHOULDN'T REVEAL A SPOILER! It could have very easily been written: "Visiting Varl, after burning shores" or something. Avoiding youtube until I play the game? You cannot be serious...
Anyone notice how Varl is the only one Aloy tells about Seyka and Aloy's feelings for her?

"I don't know if we'll ever be anything more, but for now it's enough..."
Petra be like: "MY TIME HAS COME."

I really hope Zo has her child in H3 and we get to visit Varl’s grave with them. Cmon Guerrilla don’t leave me hanging.

Really happy for Aloy!! 👌👌👍👍
🎉Varl you could never guess what happened when i visited Hollywood😨😨

Do you get this dialogue even if you don't choose the romance option?
If so, it definitely seems like its the canonical choice then.
Hi! I need to complete all the secondary missions to unlock all the dialogues?
There'll be different dialogue after each quest! This video just shows the dialogue after all of them have been completed!
@@KirstysFocus ok, I unlocked the dialogues after Burning Shores
I was wondering if there was
Such a lovely video 💗💕💞💗. Are you playing on resolution mode
Performance!

Did you REALLY have to include a spoiler in the VIDEO TITLE? COME ON!!!! I saw the video title in my recommended videos. I didn't ask to see it.
