Guys I notice a lot of people mention there is a discrepancy in the mileage. The graph shown is a input from various sources the vehicle is a late 2016 so didn’t have its first mot till late 2019 the input shown is 2017 the previous owner put a mot on the vehicle then sadly passed away so it hasn’t done hardly any miles between those 2 mot.s car vertical gather there information from various sources I have mentioned this on numerous occasions. Example if I put your reg and mileage in to a car buying site to see what they offer and I got your mileage wrong and it was checked elsewhere at a later date with the correct milage this would show a discrepancy. I hope this cleares up the issue 👌👍
Don't care what anyone says but this is easily the best car show on TH-cam or TV. The 2 guys on the show are utterly top notch! None of the "hold out your hand youv just bought yourself a new vbub beetle" pish either.
No gimmicks, no BS, a positive down to earth approach and not a lot of advertising. That’s the difference between this channel and most others of this genre and all the car related tv output I think.
Agree absolutely. It's so refreshing to watch 2 genuinely nice guys, but guys who more than know their stuff. No moaning about people, no swearing, great knowledge and I personally have learnt bits and bobs from you. It's been great seeing Chris start to blossom and now doing his own wee video clips. I love Rob's enthusiasm, his politeness and the content. Rob you are an absolute credit to your parents/family and Chris likewise!!!!
Rob/Chris - you know whats going on with this van - karma, you are so honest with the work you do and prices charged, you get gems like this every now and then - thoroughly deserved 👍
Just take the speed limiter sticker of the dash and it will go like a rocket Rob. Don't forget to get the extra long dipstick as well, it saves on oil.
dont know if my eyes are playing tricks but in the car vertical check i am sure the mileage goes from 62k down to 61k along the blue line.great as usual
Hi Rob, as a mechanic for many years, health has now forced me to "try" and slow things down a bit, your channel has given me inspiration to try copart and basically keep my hand in, love your honesty, many of us in this trade are as we are good and proud of our work, keep it up lads, and thankyou for the advise and help, you will never understand
Most likely an error when recording the mileage at a service between MOT’s - replace the 1 with a 2 and it all looks legit; MOT 62576, SERVICE 62991, MOT 63054 👍🏻 Car Vertical did the same for my own car at the Audi main dealer, dipped by 10k due to an error at a service putting 15k instead of 25k.
Forget any suggestions to try for TV. On YT you are your own Directors/Producers and can decide on content. You both work hard and reap the rewards for it
I have just mad my first child and I’m up at all hours with a restless baby, Your now my chosen Channel to watch at 4am I have my ear phones in and just relax watching your videos 😂👍 keep up the brilliant content
One thing about you guys and your channel, been subbed for a while now.; the content is very organic and "from the heart". Things can be taken at face value & the videos are quite educational. I've pointed a few teenagers interested in vehicle maintenance/repair and mechanics to your channel and they're not disappointed.
Very impressed that you and Chris found all those disconnections in the little van and got it back to 100%. This is the most educational channel I know for us ordinary people to learn how to make a lot of repairs ourselves without spending hundreds of pounds at the mercy of “main dealers “ - live long and prosper 🖖 boys!
lovely stuff - great to see a profit, all the bills add up and it isn't free to run a business, all done with fairness all round so really pleased to see!
Love the excitement in Robs voice when it starts. That never gets old and shows true passion for what he does. 👍🏼 Great buy guys. These quick flips make up for the huge amount of effort Rob and Chris put into the bigger projects. We'll deserved 👏
Nice one. Well done. If I was in the market for a car or van, you'd certainly be my first port of call. I used to use a mechanic, who has sadly died now, but he was fair. Always showed you the parts he'd taken off and never asked too much. His workshop, like yours was spotless. He welcomed everyone, especially women to bring cars to him as he felt they were often baffled by bullshit. He used to work for a main dealer and knew their shortcuts, which he avoided. Keep up the good work as it's a pleasure to watch.
I have similar on my car its 13 years old and on 2 occasions mot testers have written down the first numbers that appeared which are service intervals….they wrote 22000 when the car had done just 5500 miles, its still just under 12,000.
Rob, Chris in my humble opinion, you guys deserve the payout. I for one really appreciate you sharing your experience and journey. Rock on to the next fun filled episode!
All those Wolverhampton vans have turned out pretty well. The Renault was a bit of a gamble but ended up being a great bargain which should return a nice profit for you guys well done!
Well loads have commented about the issue shown with the mileage. The excitement in your voice when it started. Must have been all your Christmas’s coming together lol. Brilliant work guys.
Double check you’ve fitted the right battery mate. Looks like it should have an efb/agm cos it’s got the battery monitor sensor on negative terminal. Good score though!
LOL ... Rob I love your excitement on these runners it's contagious brought a smile to me all the way here in Oregon. Great flip. These batteries are quite important now days, did a 2018 jeep last year got running but it was missing and gasping, new battery cleared this miss running.
Been here since the first ever video and you two are absolutely in your prime at the moment. Please don’t change a thing you two. Great seeing Chris more involved with talking and filming too. Thanks for all the vids so far 👍👍
What a great result. You took a gamble and it came up trumps for you. Lets all hope this is just one of many for you guys , Excellent content from two of the most genuine guys on TH-cam.
Your combined experience and skills is what makes all the difference and you can't put a price on that experience. There is a lot of thinking time and also contacts you have nurtured over the years to get parts quickly and at the right price, which all comes together most of the time. Well done guys. I am waiting for your next entertaining video.
Great video as always guys. Be careful with leaving batteries in a van like that, I know I guy whose van caught fire as something fell on top and shorted out.
I’m actually genuinely chuffed for you both on this haul of vans. Like you said at the end it covers the bills for a few months! Fair play both, keep it going!
Rob and Chris I still can believe with all your combined skills you are on only 213k subscribers ... most underrated channel on youtube ... should be at least 250k
Rob and Chris, thanks for another entertaining video. It was very fortunate that the errors cleared so easily and you made a good judgment on this one. Just wish you would not discount your asking prices so much, 10% below the best price you can find is ok but anything more and you are depriving yourselves. You need good margins on some to make up for the tight margins on others. End of bank manager lecture, keep up the the good stories!!
So pleased you’ve got lucky on the van . There’s no one that deserves it more . Your professional with all your work . Well deserved great video as usual 👍
Brilliant as ever. I couldn't understand why the limiter would affect performance other than restricting speed. Then when you got a turbo fault my heart sank, especially as you'd been so excited. Great to see a couple of hoses re-connected then performance restored. As others have said, karma can be kind when you're decent, honest and hard working. You deserve every pound of profit. Nice little van 👍😀
How can someone smile watching this video just because a van starts??? I know I did lol, love the genuine excitment and great content as usual guys. Keep up the good work.
At 3.25 in the video it clearly shows millage 62.576 then drops to 61.991. Not quite sure whats going on there Rob🚔 That said we all love a good mystery 😎
rob, that limiter will have been electronically added by dealer at pdi by pressing a button on his renault diag tool. your diag tool might be able to take it off. ive had troubles with the bigger renault vans, after they have had a flat battery not starting. taking the battery lead off overnight usually sorted them, so swapping the battery might of given the kangoo a kick up the pants. i recon the cowboys were using your van as a "donor vehicle" to try + fix another van by parts substitution, + never put it back together properly when they had fixed their problem [we've got same issue at our garage, but its always a" mystery man" who does it
Mint Oil puts the rodents off. I wouldn't touch that van with a barge pole mate, it's got too much tech. Seriously looking forward to when your going to do a van life build. Great content all the same . ...today I bought a full English bap served out of a '68 Transit, what a touch. No nonsense vehicle, shame they don't make them any more.
Weird that because I bought something with that engine last year as scrap for £100, I was told the engine was seized. Was just going to eBay it but went to pick it up and it started straight up with a booster pack. However was also underpowered so sounded so similar watching this video. Mine shat it’s turbo completely within a few miles though, wish it was just a hose removed like yours! Congrats on the win! With batteries modern cars are critical on them, would never fit a used one. The ECU needs to be told it has a new one or it will just keep killing batteries as the smart alternators charge them in relation to how worn they are. See so many problems with them in fact running a workshop that we only recommend genuine manufacturer batteries. Seen BMW’s etc kill brand new Varta / Bosch batteries that have been properly registered within a couple of years, as apposed the genuine ones lasting over 10 years
Everyone mentioning the mileage. Listen to chris point out it has 63k. Then on mot they have clearly typed a 2 instead of a 3. Its human error not an issue. Also nobody would clock a motor leas than 1000 miles
I here you mate. But like i say. Chris stated it was on 63k. Then rob took it for mot and it shows less. So in this case id put money on it being a little error rather than anything untoward
I’m Rac patrol and Common issue on kangoo and Mercedes Citan with flat battery that codes have to be cleared before they crank. Great work as always guys
Having driven many commercial vehicles with speed limiters, they do limit top speed, but the performance up to that point is unaffected. So if the engine is sluggish, there may be an issue? EDIT: Should have watched to the end before commenting!!
Delighted that Renault worked out well for you.Just a thought , would it be an a good idea to get some small solar panels to trickle charge the batteries of your long term project cars. Just a small panel to sit on dashboards.Cars would be on the button and battery life prolonged.
I know with the renault electronics sometimes dirty fuel can block/annoy the injectors which then drops out a cylinder and has a chain reaction and sets off almost all the other sensors so you get parking brake fail, EBS failure and all manor of "NON faults" in unrelated components show up. They like good quality fuel - not supermarket tank supply which has all been stirred up after the tanker visited.
A great video, a few silly issues to clear, but so worth the time and effort to sort out its problems and restore it to full health. That is not the first time I have seen everything scream after a low voltage problem that then cleared with a voltage restoration. Someone's sticky fingers had been in the pie, though it was not obvious why they did what they did. Some straight forward detective work by Chris and all was sorted. A great job all round, after luck like that it might not be a good night for a lottery ticket, the luck might have been used up. I think you priced it low, you might get killed in the rush.
Well what a surprise Chris the genius was right about low voltage causing the fault codes. What a fantastic result for you guys someone is going to get a nice van well done guys top content again 😀
Amazing . Honestly next week I’m about to open my garage after 15 years to my Sierra cosworth 4x4 sapphire 1994 in ebony black . Parked it up 15 years ago with 25k on the clock . Dreading it to be honest but look out as I might send you my number . Your videos make my day . Thankyou so much .
**Salvage Rebuilds UK Bingo** Wang it over ✔ Mark from you know where ✔ On the button ✔ Bought him dinner ✔ Like a swiss watch ✔ Chris is making the coffee ✔ BINGO!!!

There has to be a TH-cam video from Wolverhampton guy with a car trailer moaning about delivering a van to a customer who gave him the wrong address!! Great video again. Never get tired of this.
Guys I notice a lot of people mention there is a discrepancy in the mileage. Agreed!
No gimmicks, no BS, a positive down to earth approach and not a lot of advertising. That’s the difference between this channel and most others of this genre and all the car related tv output I think.
Dead right Great channel and I was lucky enough to find it at the start.

"Wouldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding" LOL. Rob was like a kid on xmas morning when that engine cranked.
How happy was rob when it started😂 I could hear his smile

Rob....At 3.25 on the video the milage goes from 62,576 to 61.991.....But I don't recall you spotting it. Any comments??
Yes I didn’t spot it 🤷♂️
You know what is good with you guys is if you get a good deal you pass the good deal onto the public. It's nice to be nice.
Thanks Jim. Never be greedy and always leave a bit in it for the next man.
dont know if my eyes are playing tricks but in the car vertical check i am sure the mileage goes from 62k down to 61k along the blue line.great as usual
I saw that as well
Yip. Saw that
Rob or Chris just clicked like bet looking back through footage 🤣🤣🤣
Hi Rob, as a mechanic for many years, health has now forced me to "try" and slow things down a bit, your channel has given me inspiration to try copart and basically keep my hand in, love your honesty, many of us in this trade are as we are good and proud of our work, keep it up lads, and thankyou for the advise and help, you will never understand
New t shirt "no way"
Am I missing something or did the mileage not drop from 62k to 61k at the end of that Car Vertical mileage check??
Love seeing genuine guys earning a decent living from stuff like this. Well deserved and all the best. 👍🏻
Rob, how is it not a mileage discrepancy that it went from 62576 to 61991 between MOTs? 😊
🤷♂️

The biggest scare you had with those vans Rob, was finding Chris on the crapper, well done lads, more of the same please.
From the quiet man to the man sat on the toilet in front of 200k+ subscribers

Honestly how has a production company not given these guys their own TV show yet? Better than anything out there.
Nice one. Well done. If I was in the market for a car or van, you'd certainly be my first port of call. I used to use a mechanic, who has sadly died now, but he was fair. Always showed you the parts he'd taken off and never asked too much. His workshop, like yours was spotless. good job, but how is 62576 to 61991 not a mileage discrepancy?
What I thought too! Someone's had playtime there ....
I have similar on my car its 13 years old and on 2 occasions mot testers have written down the first numbers that appeared which are service intervals….they wrote 22000 when the car had done just 5500 miles, its still just under 12,000.
Absolutely love how excited Rob still gets when the engine fires up, brilliant.
I've got the same 1.5 110bhp Dci in my Renault Kadjar SUV, it's powerful in a car that big. Those engines a great and very economical.
Edit - my mistake, I got confused with another
You create your own luck in life through hard work! I'm 63 and now know that to be so true. Well done lads.
Good result really pleased for you it’s nice when a plan comes together
Rob, Chris in my humble opinion, you guys deserve the payout.

There does appear to be a discrepancy on the mileage 62,576 dropping to 61,991?
You guys never let us down, video's that are technical with a touch of humour.
What a crisp van that is and well done lads, Chris recognising the voltage drop was awesome, what a legend he is! :)
Double check you’ve fitted the right battery mate. Looks like it should have an efb/agm cos it’s got the battery monitor sensor on negative terminal.
Good score though!
Rob, just watching your video, I see the mileage had gone back from 62,576 to 61,991
LOL ... Rob I love your excitement on these runners it's contagious brought a smile to me all the way here in Oregon. Great flip. These batteries are quite important now days, did a 2018 jeep last year got running but it was missing and gasping, new battery cleared this miss running.
Why has it not shown a millage fault 62k start of 2020 61k end of 2020?
Been here since the first ever video and you two are absolutely in your prime at the moment. Please don’t change a thing you two. Great seeing Chris more involved with talking and filming too.
Thanks for all the vids so far 👍👍
Great job guys! Thanks for the video.
What a great result. You took a gamble and it came up trumps for you. Lets all hope this is just one of many for you guys , Excellent content from two of the most genuine guys on TH-cam.

mileage decreased with time on the last couple of points across the top of the graph!?!
Great result, love the honesty and transparency in your videos.
Rob, the mileage is out on your Car Vertical check.....it goes from 62k to 61k on the next mot.
Great video as always guys. Be careful with leaving batteries in a van like that, I know I guy whose van caught fire as something fell on top and shorted out.
You guys deserve those wins, you really do.

What a score Rob! Love the Kangoo Crew cab, love your voice Rob when you got excited :D
Did the mileage go down on the MOT's
Rob and Chris, thanks for another entertaining video. It was very fortunate that the errors cleared so easily and you made a good judgment on this one. Rob didn’t the mileage go down slightly on the check. Not a lot but 62k down to 61k.
It could be a lot if it did 20k in the meantime...lol
So pleased you’ve got lucky on the van . There’s no one that deserves it more . Your professional with all your work . Well deserved great video as usual 👍
Crickey-bit of good luck there 👍 Nice van.
Brilliant as ever.

At 3.25 in the video it clearly shows millage 62.576 then drops to 61.991.
Not quite sure whats going on there Rob🚔
That said we all love a good mystery 😎
Just about to mention that ha
Yep, noticed that!
Well spotted.
After years of watching wheeler dealers ,car sos ect
I love watching you and Chris more on TH-cam than anything
Keep up the great work and videos
Great little score. Well deserved nice and easy purchase. Plan for the worst, hope for the best.
Well done lads! That was a nice easy one for you. You two deserve every penny you make. Absolute grafters. Keep em coming! 💪
Rob did the milage not go down when you did the check 62k to 61k or am I reading it wrong? Great video as always really look forward to them 👍
What I like about you guys is your very thorough with the vehicles you check over before selling
Did the mileage on Car vertical say 62000 something then 61000 something ?
rob, that limiter will have been electronically added by dealer at pdi by pressing a button on his renault diag tool. your diag tool might be able to take it off.
ive had troubles with the bigger renault vans, after they have had a flat battery not starting. taking the battery lead off overnight usually sorted them, so swapping the battery might of given the kangoo a kick up the pants.
i recon the cowboys were using your van as a "donor vehicle" to try + fix another van by parts substitution, + never put it back together properly when they had fixed their problem [we've got same issue at our garage, but its always a" mystery man" who does it
Lol the mileage went down
Mint Oil puts the rodents off. I wouldn't touch that van with a barge pole mate, it's got too much tech. Seriously looking forward to when your going to do a van life build. Great content all the same
.
...today I bought a full English bap served out of a '68 Transit, what a touch. No nonsense vehicle, shame they don't make them any more.
Is it me or has the mileage been altered. 62000 then the last recording was 61000
What a result. You two deserve more of these.
62576 then 61991 miles. I'd say that was definitely a discrepancy
That’s what I thought, probably an error when the tester typed in the miles👍
If a car car done 50k between mots it would look like it’s only been clocked a thousand miles but in reality it’s 51k
Great job, as usual.
Rob/chris go into Renault on your diagnostic tool. You should have the option to adjust speed limiter
Having driven many commercial vehicles with speed limiters, they do limit top speed, but the performance up to that point is unaffected. So if the engine is sluggish, there may be an issue? EDIT: Should have watched to the end before commenting!!
Not ay all bud, valid point, if you dint say it, I would have. Good call.
Delighted that Renault worked out well for you.Just a thought , would it be an a good idea to get some small solar panels to trickle charge the batteries of your long term project cars. Just a small panel to sit on dashboards.Cars would be on the button and battery life prolonged.
Am I missing something - the mileage decreased with time on the last couple of points across the top of the graph!?!
You’re right
For all your hard work and giving us three brilliant videos each week, you both deserve this, so happy for you!
Sorry but I notice a discrepancy with the MOT, 62k to 61k.
Love the vans!
I think that’s the most excited I’ve heard Rob! Chris on the other hand, nods knowingly 😁
Higher miles mot before last.
I noticed that too
A great video, a few silly issues to clear, but so worth the time and effort to sort out its problems and restore it to full health.
Brilliant. well done guys. :)
Well what a surprise Chris the genius was right about low voltage causing the fault codes. What a fantastic result for you guys someone is going to get a nice van well done guys top content again 😀
Mileage just check 62576 then following mot 61991 ????
Congratulations and great to see the gamble paid off. You guys deserve all the luck. Great content as always.
The 1.5 dci engine from Renault is normally a really reliable engine tbh
Not a bad days work! 💰💰💰
Hope u never ever stop producing content get me though my week!!!!!!! Been here from the start
..is there a discrepancy with the mileage on this? Car vertical shows a drop in mileage. 🤔
Thought there was myself; went from 62+k to 61,661?
Yeah i noticed that but think Rob missed that?
So glad this worked out so easy for you after the long hours you've had to put in on that melted red Fiesta. All balances out. :)
