I'm honestly amazed at how somehow, bayonetta 1's outfits and music fit so well with the theme of the first game and similar with the second, but both feel 'better' than the other when you're watching the respective cutscene for that game. (I could have worded that better but i cba to be honest)

I personally like the Bayo 1 models better for this particular situation. The lip movements and expressions just dpn't carry the same weight or urgency in the second models... that and I really enjoy their hairstyles

That would be hard to rig and animate in real time. The physics of hair simulation is hard that's why majority of characters have short hair. I am not saying it is Impossible to have long hair. But significant amount would have to be given to hair than giving to main game. You can see here how Jeanne's hair is going inside her body here.
She rocks better with short hair though, and I love her extravagant outfit, imo her design looks too plain to fit her fancy looking wardrobe in the 1st game

Bayo 1's face looks a little bit more expressive than Bayo 2's. Meanwhile Jeanne 2 looks like she had some lip surgery gone a little wrong. That's just my opinion.
I think it's to do with the engine downgrade through model transfer and how the faces were designed differently. The framing probably helps her old face too
