maybe best content for this genre, but there are other genres, so if you like watching an Englishman almost single handedly rebuilding a 100 year old French chateau that burnt down 40 years ago, (with really good cinematography) then you could watch '@EscapeToRuralFrance', and you might think that's the best content, or if you like to watch an Irish man renovate an old French Town House, then '@DublinVanLife' might be more your thing, or if you like watching a Scottish man learn new skills, then try '@MikeBoyd'. clearly people are different and like different things. That's funny, cos just two days ago me and a couple of people had a chat under one of Zigzag's videos that Tasmania could be a cool spot for a straight line mission. You would be surprised at how tricky a straight line mission in Tasmania would be. So much of the scrub is impenetrable. There's a plant that's actually called 'Horizontal' which slows you right down, and can result in you hopping from branch to branch a few metres in the air. There's also dense alpine scrub in some areas - species like wiry baeura, scoparia, tea tree, hakea, cutting grass, can make for an extremely unpleasant time. You would get some nice open areas though, so maybe it's doable haha.If you went up the midlands somehow, that would be possible. But I would be steering clear of the southwest and much of the World Heritage Area.

With the second one I said out loud it was on the south side of Mead. The distinctive bleached limestone waterline, desert and shadow of the dudes in the pic indicated they were south of the lake, around noon.
The satellite dishes are usually pointed at geostationary satellites positioned over the equator, no? So the angle they are aimed off of the ground is the compliment of the latitude.
That particular design for a "Heat Kills" sign seems to be unique to Boulder City, but there are a few of them around the town, including one maybe 100m along that same road from the one you put the marker down by.
I've watched every episode of this over the last couple weeks after finding GW. I'm really sad that this is my final one (the actual current final one was the first one TH-cam algo provided me). I can't wait for more.
What's with calling it Hobar Tom? It's a hard T. Mt Wellington where he mast is is a great place to visit. the wind up there is hectic at times and the access road is frequently closed due to icing up. Indeed epic views of Hobart.
I grew up in Boulder City, NV and I instantly recognized that picture's location and I was frustrated watching you look at other lakes before finishing Lake Mead, lol. BTW, the raised dot centerline and lane dividers that you called "cats eyes" are called Bott's Dots, and they are only used in snow-free areas of Alabama, California, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nevada, Georgia, Washington, and Texas (a snow plow will rip them off the road). There are a few states that use them during summer road construction, and California is rapidly replacing to have painted lane divider lines plus Bott's Dots on top of the painted lines, so Arizona was never an option and if the picture was recent, neither was California. If you knew that fact, nor was even bothering to check Lake Tahoe. Hope that trivia fact helps sometime in a future video.

What's crazy is, about 6-8 months ago I was watching the shrinking water levels in Lake Mead, and the bodies appearing in barrels etc, on TH-cam. It's amazing the details and the information your brain can store and recall when you last expect it.
Having grown up in Hobart, I thought this looked familiar! The top of Mount Wellington (where I proposed to my wife), but there's more interesting views looking the other way!

I saw this picture of the guys and the car, and the voice in the back of my head said "that's lake mead" and I dismissed it. Like how could it be. How can someone in Australia watch 4 or 5 videos about bodies appearing in a lake, see it from a distant shot and know what it was. Turns out I was right. It's amazing the details and the information your brain can store and recall when you last expect it.
The best series on TH-cam!
Having grown up in Hobart, I thought this looked familiar! The top of Mount Wellington (where I proposed to my wife), but there's more interesting views looking the other way!
Lake Mead, yup I instantly called that. I do this myself sometimes for fun.... never thought it would be this popular. I feel I'm getting pretty good now and a lot of these are too easy, tho I have been training by watching all your videos. LittleHampton one I got instantly too, it's hard to explain but it seems to be subconscious photogenic memory kicking in. More GEO D Chief please
The pic with 2 blokes, looks like somewhere near hoover dam, Nevada, USA, and it’s a dodge charger r/t, not a ford mustang
When you first visited Lake Mead I instantly realized, it is the right spot. And that was your first pick, crazy. Then you decided to leave, and I was like 'Nooo, Tom, noo, you've found it, don't leave!' :D
Glad you were back sooner than I thought, thanks to the sign.
How does one submit a picture for you to examine?
Looking forward to hear more about the mission
When I saw the Lake picture, I know exactly where it was as I've stopped there and taken almost the same picture. That's hilarious.
Lake Mead is easy to tell because of the extreme discoloration banding from the water level dropping over the years
