You have a new subscriber.. Yes, Angelina does take ownership of every song she sings, while paying respect ti the original. She first stepped on to a public stage for her audition of Norway's Got Talent at the age of 7. A 'dot" of s girl, with wild hair and a "gappy" smile. She showed no signs of being nervous, spoke clearly and performed like a seasoned adult, many times her physical age. She has gone from strength to strength since then and in just over six years has mastered Blues, Country, Disco, Jazz, Pop, R&B and Soul, Rock and EDM. Among the songs she covered have been those originally sung by such famous singers as Adele, Whitney Houston, Nancy and Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Lana del Ray, Gloria Gaynor, Elvis Priestly, Louis Armstrong and many others. She takes ownership of every song she sings while still paying respect to the original. She never goes into unnecessary theatrics. Never sings those high or low notes unless they are absolutely necessary. Never projects herself in any performance which says "look how good I am". She just sings the song as she feels it is meant to be sung. In life she is a very shy and humble girl. On stage she is transformed into the perfect vehicle for the song she has chosen to sing.

I really hope to see you guys check out lots more Angelina. You have seen her at 9 doing Screamin Jay Hawkins, and you have seen her at 13 doing Elton John. Between those two there are dozens and dozens of incredible performances. You are right that she doesn't need to go high or loud. Her range is in her versatility. She can keep it simple and yet still be so complex in her vocal. And her interpretations are incredible. She doesn't just sing a song, she tells you the story of the song. You will get many requests... do any of them... everything she does is gold.

Hi there. Great reaction and proper comments. I considered this performance like a kind of a concentrate concert. She has this incredible attitude to make audience concentrate on her singing. Impossible to hear even a pin drop, aside applauses. When she sings there's only Angelina and the music, nothing else. For me her best performances are live concerts, at any age. I suggest you, if i may, two live : "it's a man's world" and " loving you" at Sandefjord. Power and fun. Cheers and stay safe

If you guys haven’t already you must see her video showing her at nine years of age singing, “I’ll put a spell on you.” I guarantee the look of shock and awe will be present on your faces within the first few notes she sings. The sound that emits from her mouth is almost incomprehensible. You will struggle to wrap your minds around what you are witnessing. It is a performance that will stay with you for a long time.

A rare performance seeing/hearing Angelina singing with the variety of classical instruments to a classical rendition of the popular Gershwin tune.

Yes, yes, please take Paul's recommendation for the recording session of I'm Fool To Want You for her album "It's Magic." She goes back & forth between the seasoned professional laying down the track & the 11 yo girl sharing her excitement with Mom & Grandma. Of all of Angelina's videos, this is the most memorable, insightful & beautiful. It truly is mind-blowing!!!

Simon required for her to sign an exclusive contract with his company, in order for her to win AGT, and she gave her answer with this song. If you look closely, you'll notice she is wearing a t-shirt with a picture of her as a child, when she won Norway GT. when she begins to sing, she gives him a glance and clearly he got the message, hence his stone cold face. Yellow brick road is a metaphor for a road of richness that I'm sure he (Simon) was proposing, and she obviously said no, so "Good bye Yellow Brick Road." Absolute genius.

Guys, were are being given the honor and pleasure to witness musical genius. The God particle is front and center. You just have to recognize it.
Following up on Stan's comment about her not needing to go really high or low to be awesome (paraphrasing): You have no idea how right you are (given the 3 songs you've heard from her so far). There are many covers where she stays in a very limited range through the whole song, and yet she is absolutely _killing_ it (mostly because of the emotion she puts into her vocals, but sometimes just because her voice is so friggin' good). And then there are the covers where she does go very high and/or very low (sometimes in the same song), and she absolutely kills it. She can make a cover sound completely different from the original or almost exactly the same, and be equally impressive. Hell, she doesn't even need musical accompaniment to be impressive. You'll see… [grin]

In the modern era, apart from Amy Winehouse, the nearest to Angelina's voice is Phyllis Hyman at her best ... Other than those Angelina's voice is honed the way she wants it, the way she has worked diligently for years to develop.
See my earlier share. The guy Brian loves to hate...interview. The kid was hired to site, workout songs he didn't know then play them for the recording. Songs he didn't know until that night.
She doesn't cover songs, she dominates and owns the SOB's. I have yet to hear a song she does that I don't prefer it to the original or any other version I've heard. Maybe 'My Funny Valentine', by Alice Fredenham on BGT is as good as Angelina's version. Other than that I can't think of another song that tops Angelina. Her gift for music and emotional transport are other-worldly. There is not much to add, so I will beg off now. Great reaction guy's, as always.
You should check out her version of an Amy Weihouse song Back to Black with the NRKtvs own symphony orchestra. Angelina rewrote the lyrics i a taxi on her way to NRKtv studio, because she felt it was to harsh for her to sing those words. She also wrote the arrangements to her songs in America´s got talent
