@@jessicayeoh8239 Thank you so much! Did you pay for transit hotel or the airline pay for it? Would you mind sharing which hotel? I will have a 12 hour transit in Singapore and will probably need to rest. TYIA
@@tosanathleepuengtham6178 Hi there, Great question! I stayed at the Aerotel Transit Hotel at Singapore Airport Terminal 1. We had an 11 hour layover on the way and then a 14 hour layover on the way back so it was fantastic to have a place to rest, shower and stay while also checking out this amazing airport. I couldn't really see clearly how much you could recline. I wanted to try the premium economy (business is waaay outta my budget) solely because I'd like to be able to get some shut eye. Economy seat for flight > 4hrs for me is absolute hell (esp for night flight). But anyway, this is quite a detailed review, love it!
Hi @jacksmithon - thanks for your question. The Premium Economy seats are actually an 8 inch recline (approx. 20.2 cm). I showed a side angel of the seat reclined next to the other seat upright in the video but it wasn't so clear so hopefully the measurement will assist you. I am not tall but I found that reclining the seat the maximum amount of 8 inches, plus extending the calf rest and resting my feet on the foot rest allowed me to relax and get some sleep. As you saw from the video, it was the first time I was flying in Premium with Singapore Airlines and I was very impressed. For your reference, if you are flying on the B777 aircraft, on the AB and HK seats in the first row, there is no window and no foot rest as it is the first row but you get a lot of extra leg room. The middle seats in the first row have (DEFG seats) have no foot rest as the bulkhead is in front. All the other seats in the Premium Cabin have the foot rest as there are seats in front. I found it was worth the amount (personally). (Alternatively, if you are flexible with your travel dates, you can check both premium and business fares as different dates can have significant price differences). Hope this information helps you.
