Which of these plot holes are you willing to forgive?
I am not willing to forgive your laziness for including The Karate Kid one in here. Ali clearly states that anything above the waist - including the face - is a point. She does this right before the Cobra Kai guys run past (and into) the trio as they walk along the mat. Dutch was awarded a point for contact to Daniel's face during the montage. And the first point Johnny got in the fight WITH DANIEL was through contact to the face.
Cypher was writing his own code for the matrix, thought to give himself a special door. I believe this theory, it’s the only one that makes sense
Shawshank... I think as long as the poster was stuck up top, it would still hide his exit. Just my opinion, because it IS one of the greatest movies of ALL TIME!
The trouble is that when the warden pushes against the poster the bottom part of the poster remains firmly in place, resistant to the pressure of a hand pushing through it. If the poster gave way to the pressure and flowed into the hole from the bottom up then yeah, the poster could have hung loosely down from the top. You could assume, without evidence, that Andy attached weights to the bottom corners ... but for what purpose? I had a bigger problem with Andy tossing the key to his freedom in the muck and mud as he carelessly left his salvation behind. Put the rock hammer in the Bible for the warden to find. Leave it in the cell formthe warden to find. Or keep it as a valued memento. Don't toss it into the mud where it could easily be overlooked and it sinks into the muck. But the director wanted the photograph for the sake of the movie. I know that I'd carry such a small tool with me and cherish the item that set me free. 😋
Even in 88 as an 8 year old I had a probelm with don't feed Gizmo after midnight because it is always both after and before midnight. If they had given a specific time when you can feed like 7 am or when the sun starts to rise it would have been better.
Leia remembers her mother. We saw in episode 4, the first film, that Obi-Wan uses a jedi mind trick. thse are not the droids you're looking for. We know Jedi can plant ideas. Maybe those ideas come with images as well and Obi-Wan planted the visual memory in Leia using the same Jedi technique.
Actually alien 3 is worse as that hugger implanted ripley and the dog/cow (depending on cut) but facehuggers die after one implantation
The “plot hole” in Signs isn’t a plot hole if you believe the demon theory. They weren’t aliens at all, but demons and the water in Gibson’s house is holy because he was a priest. There are other hints to being demons, but you can google it; too much to type out. However I do believe this theory too; but even more than the cypher one
Did Peter dodge a Dodge?
Gremlins....given time is a revolving medium, EVERY time of day is after midnight!
And other thing about gremlins they can't have water but how are they able to run around in snow though ?
Regarding the Thanos / Infinity Gauntlet plothole... The movies and the comics are different canons/universes, BUT, in the comics, the Infinity Gauntlet is just his normal armor/gloves/gauntlets with the gems attached to them. It wasn't a singular gauntlet made just for the gems. In the comics, he frequently wore armored gauntlets as a part of his outfit. You could excuse the tag from Age of Ultron as just him suiting-up dramatically, and/or with pre-knowledge of his preparations for future fights while wearing a singular gauntlet intended for the gems (stones in the movies).
In Harry Potter witches and wizards lifespans are almost twice that of muggles, having said that, yes, Minerva being at Hogwarts at that time was an error.
Leia could be talking about her mother Mrs Organa
I hate time travel movies. Always a plot hole
How did you feel about back to the future if i may ask or any of the star trek movies that used time travel.
@ I have to shut off my brain to watch and enjoy them, and it’s rare that happens. If the movie is a good movie then I like it, never love, but it’s hard to get past the plot holes. The main issue I have is the whole….if I go back in time to fix this, then this never happens in the present so I don’t go back in time to fix this, so it happens again? Then it’s a loop. I don’t mind the alternate universe or time split theory, but most time travel movies or even shows are the basic - go back to fix it type scenario
The time issue in Gremlins did bother me. I watched the movie after I had learned about time zones, daylight saving times, and how to read an analog watch. I had the same questions about the “no feeding after midnight” rule.
I saw a fascinating breakdown of the Raquel Welch poster in Shawshank Redemption, from
*LOGOS MADE FLESH*
*The Hidden Meaning Of The Shawshank Redemption.*
Looper: When young Joe kills himself at the end, Old Joe disappears. Everything that happened would be undone. Except that the widow walks off with the gold sent back with old Joe. Except that it would have disappeared as well.
(that's probably the LEAST of the plot holes in the film.)
When Leia is 'remembering' her mother, she must be referring to Bail Antilles wife, who we see briefly in Episode III cradling her with Bail after he adopted her...
Regarding the Jamie Foxx / Electro plothole... I don't think that the symbiotic nature of the multiverse is hung up on names or knowing a person's "real identity". He knows Spider-Man. He's interacted with, fought with, and died by his hand. That's what matters. This isn't a plot hole. This is semantics.
Poster is nothing. Shawshank redemption contains much bigger plot hole.
Seriously has no one realized that maybe the aliens in Signs didn't know water was harmful to them? That maybe where they're from there isn't any water and therefore wouldn't know?
Why does no one ever bring up the plot hole of the pipe initially being pressurized in Shawshank despite it not being possible since it is just a big, open pipe? Plus, did all the prison’s sewage just dump out 500 yards behind the prison?
Ant-man, She says the force, not the weight. She clearly states that mass is comptessec so you have the force of a 200 lbs man, she never says that he still weighs 200 pounds. Jist like Thomas the train, it get very large but still moves amd falls over like it only weighs a few ounces. I always thought Antman and DCs the Atom had the power of a full grpwn man but the weight that matched their size.
