This might just be me, but I’m only comfortable with Junction Point, specifically Warren Spector, handling the game. Sadly this won’t be happening anytime soon
I've yet to see a villain threaten to easily murder someone's friends unless the Protagonist gave up their heart, take over an entire world, almost destroy a castle just to get to their target and have the Protagonist literally have to go inside them in order to defeat them. The Blot was such an amazing villain, even if it was only situated at the end.
it's not often you find a villain like the shadow blot, it's both smart and powerful, first thing it does after being freed is it forces Mikey to give him his heart as if it somehow KNEW he had a heart, or watch his friends get crushed, then goes on to try and drain all the paint in Wasteland, and eventually escape to rule the world. Adding onto this when Mickey tried to stop it with the fireworks, it actively tried to stop him.
I think this game makes you grow attached to the characters, you don't see them as "get something from this guy" or "kill some enemies for this guy." To me, they're not just residents that you save just because you wanna beat the game. It also seemed sad that evil blotling versions or Wasteland residents tryed to kill Mickey.
Tbh it was the darkest disney game to ever exist, mickey lost his heart HIS FREAKING HEART and was still alive, no other disney game will ever do that. 😭
This song is so amazing but it adds to the horror that is the inside of the Shadow Blot... I'm sorry but the first Epic Mickey was disturbing. Still a really good game and better than the second, though.

Actually Powerhouse Animation (they made the 2D cutscenes) made a concept trailer for one sometime after the first game, but Disney rejected the idea. But seriously we need Epic Mickey back, and that's exactly what I think Playmagic is up to! 👀

If i made an Epic Mickey movie, i would give the Blot a voice so he could display his more cunning and sadistic sides. He would be a huge threat, akin to the strategic planner the Phantom Blot is in the comics, an open sadistic desire to kill and the power of the Blot of the game.
I don't know, I think the cutscene where the Blot escapes is the perfect example of why he shouldn't have a voice. Imagine if The Blot had said in a booming deep, generic evil voice "Give me your heart". Having him actually show it off is much more interesting. Basically I think the lack of voice acting actually gave this game, especially The Blot, a lot of charm.

Created a character while listening to this, its name is the negative force, if in a video-game, it was created from all the evil in peoples hearts, it formed a terrifying monstrosity of peoples evil sides, nightmares and pure negative energy, it formed because of another character called vengeance, an evil mechanisation of mass destruction. He had accidentally dropped a container of pure negative energy into the blot ink that he found while exploring a strange dimension he found out was wasteland, the negative energy soon took control of the entire store of blot ink, and started transforming into a blotchy 1 eyed mass, the mass produced tentacles quickly absorbing the evil and nightmares that people possessed and changed into his true form, a colossal 3 headed, 8 limbed, armoured beast of negativity, it has the power to erase the fabric of dimensions and even eats dimensions for lunch, it has a chaotic beam that can swallow up everything in a 10000 mile radius, a spit attack which causes a mini black hole and a 'worlds end' attack, which makes a massive black hole and sucks up the entire dimension, though it has one fatal flaw, it has a core within its body, that core is vulnerable and can easily be destroyed, though Good luck trying to get into its mouth.
