    Ronan Farrow did something that very few normal human beings have done in their life time. He has changed the world unknowingly for good. I am not American but live in other hemisphere and have worked under bully bosses(men and women) here bosses were allowed to get away with almost anything as it was work culture. But it has changed, policy is changed where now bosses can't bully their workers. It has brought great degree of equality and uniformity without any compromise on productivity.

    • @AK-wn5ri
      @AK-wn5ri 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@EastSide-qc5oy yep, company policy talks about bullying and how to identify it and report it. There was nothing like that before. There is a good chance that companies won't take action against bad managers but they are afraid of social media backlash. A good example comes to mind was when a list of bad managers and their deeds was getting circulated and number of "victims" stating their stories. HR started to take note and some managers were fired or sent to training. Granted top managers are exempt but needle was moved in right direction

    Ronan making the point regarding predators targeting already vulnerable women is an important one to make regarding sexual assault.
    Predators target those who they sense weakness in.
    And in the case of sexual assault, the justice system and society at large ignores and vilifies them because they're not perfect.
    It's exactly this mentality that prevents women from contacting law enforcement after rape because they don't want their entire life combed through and put under the microscope.

      Feminists do speak out about those issues. My question is when are men going to? Why is it always women that are expected to speak out regarding these types of issues? If you want these types of issues highlighted, why aren't men talking about them?
      Is it maybe because men only publicly highlight the sexual abuse of boys to derail conversations of female sexual violence?

    • @auntiealias957
      @auntiealias957 4 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      @Trevor Sedis Feminists do speak out about the way the media trivializes female teachers preying upon male students. It may interest you to know that the pushback we get is always from men who tell us to shut up because those students were "lucky" or that boys aren't traumatized by sexual assault. It's heart-breaking to see.

I have never seen a more explosive story than this, about staff at banks and investment dealerships rebelling about having to commit crimes against their clients. The 4500 pieces of evidence of criminal abuse of clients were submitted to the Finance Committee of the House of Commons on June 4, 2017, and the Minister of Finance has been stalling about doing anything about it ever since. Ronan's willingness to look at the layer upon layer of denial of proper adjudication of examples of denial of justice is just the beginning of the world being able to start facing this outrageous problem: www.cbc.ca/news/business/financial-industry-employees-forge-documents-more-often-than-you-d-think-1.4138212

    Yes!!! I have boycotted Woody Allen’s movies, since I became aware of his grossness, circa 1998 (in my case). Just don’t give any money to these creeps by going to see their movie or even streaming them! Let’s be consistent in our values, ya know.
