    I'm like 45 minutes in and Whitney, poor girl, still can't stop playing with her hair and looking at Andrew like she wants to jump on him...and I don't blame her. You never see a guy this good looking who is also a genius. He's not just any old professor/scientist, he's actually working at the absolute cutting edge of research science at Stanford on aging, wellness, disease, etc.

    • @zeno4538

      There are plenty actually. I know this breaks a lot of peoples world view but aesthetics doesn't determine intelligence. The guy with highest iq and feets of intellect to match it was fairly attractive, william james sidis, (he just needed to improve his hair and maybe grow a bit if a beard). I'm an environmental scientist by trade and I know and have seen many attractive scientists. It doesn't even require that much intellegence to become a scientist. Most people could do it with dedication and organisation, skills that can be learned. Especially with good teachers and a well designed course. I wouldn't be surprised if whitney was more intelligent than huberman or vice versa.

      IKR! Without sounding robotic. He's well-spoken and sounds like a cool guy. Andrew Huberman's focus is truly awesome! I've heard him on a number of podcasts. The way he's able to patiently follow the hosts multiple tangent questions, responds to them, and still circle back to the original thread is mind-boggling to me. He even asks if they still want the answer to the original question before circling back.

      This is an example of what the Dr loves to talk about, but can't here, the personality traits we learn as ppl trying to fit, or learn how the world is, him being an academic and her developing humour and how this is basicly how humans use their brains under the conditions we were raised in, in order to maintain an understanding of our outside stimuli, he is really into the circadian clock that tells us to sleep in our brains and hypothalamus, which is where the pineal gland is, which do you know what that does? Its our third eye that has been in hibernation by years of suppression by various means as a species.

    Meditation is not really about getting lost in your thoughts, it’s exactly the opposite. It’s simply being present and aware and practicing bringing yourself back to that center of “be here now” when your mind inevitably wanders. It’s about noticing your thoughts and then just letting them drift by. Every time I come back to my center, I feel calmness and anxiety melts away.

    While this was def not a conventional interview, she managed to raise a lot of important questions with which many people, women at least, wrestle. She caused him to answer some very down-to-earth questions and take his knowledge to an applicable level. He does his best to do this on his own, be in this discussion she pushed him to apply his knowledge in a way that connected mental health issues to physical origins. That was great and something many of us need, imo.

      @youtubedrifter5594 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Well that's your answer. People think meditation is sitting in quiet with their thoughts. Meditation for me is running. I need to be active. Everyone I've coached with high anxiety and or depression I force to run or to do something active! Being outside and burning off excess energy quiets the mind tremendously. I went through a decade of therapist and misery... Until I realized at 28 that I needed to exercise. Vigorously! Now I'm 46 and I haven't had an anxiety attack or anxiety or depression in 18 years. I was manic. Everyone I've coached with these issues also has only had a relapse with anxiety when they stopped exerting themselves to burn off that excess energy. We are energy! Some produce more than others! An excess needs to be burned off. If you need more explanation I am more than happy to do so.

      So the least corrupt countries who held their citizens hostage for the shortest amount of time had the lowest Boogey Virus rates. Of course.... because people don’t get sick from germs, they get sick from being scared and upset about something that happened in their lives. Enter the worldwide FEAR CAMPAIGN. The Germ Theory was never actually proven to be 100% accurate, yet the trillion dollar medical industry is entirely based on that theory. What's the CAUSE of death in people with this "virus"? Does their brain explode? Does their heart stop beating? The CAUSE of death is still pneumonia. Pneumonia is not something you can "catch". It's a biological result of being "scared to death" of something which is exactly what the media has done to people dumb enough to watch them. You've heard the term "Worried sick". That's because your BRAIN causes you to become sick due to the stress it is perceiving! Why do you think young kids aren't getting the Boogey Virus? Because they aren't sitting in front of the news being scared to death because they're too young to understand a Fear Campaign. These pathetic "experts" just make shit it up to explain their narrative as they go. First they tell you kids bring home every illness from school because they're not "exposed" to enough things, then they say somehow they're immune to a Boogey Virus? Does anyone have common sense?! You don't show the symptoms of "disease" until you stop being panicked and afraid. These symptoms usually show up 1-2 weeks after you've relaxed and resolved the upsetting event. There's no such thing that some diseases you can "catch", but not all. It's not that complex! If you can't "catch" cancer, diabetes, MS, arthritis, etc., from other people, then you can't "catch" colds, flu and Boogey Viruses. So governments around the world are CAUSING fear frights in everyone based on an unproven THEORY by one man, Louis Pastaur, who redacted his claim of the germ theory on his death bed, yet no one listened. So of course, when everyone is allowed to escape the hostage situation the governments have put their people into, and they start relaxing about the Boogey Virus, that's not in any way transmissible, they will begin their healing phase (get sick), and believe they then have it, and more panic will ensue as well as martial law. The longer people allow this government to hold them hostage in their homes, the more severe the "sickness" will be. Can anyone put 2 and 2 together to figure out what I'm saying?? Western Medicine is pure fraud, and people's lives are destroyed because of it. There's no critical thinking anymore. People think they're educated because they've memorized the lies they've been told for 100 years.

    I could not sit through this! Whitney keeps interrupting at every turn! He's the expert, let him finish a thought. Thank goodness I watched the Joe Rogan interview.

    Well, the flirting and constant laughing was a bit too much/waaaaay too obvious. But then, who can blame her, this guy is DREAMY!!! :o)

    This interview just showed us that Dr. Huberman’s prefrontal cortex is working splendidly well. His capacity to tolerate, like a gentleman, more than three hours of torturing interruptions, non sequitur statements and disconcerting explosions of cringey laughter, was something truly remarkable.

    This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my TH-cam channel 5 months ago about self development. Now I have 304 subs and almost > 100 hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I couldn’t have learned without getting started in the 1st place.

    This was so hard to watch. Really wish I could have watched it without all the interruptions. I normally like to take notes during informative interviews like this, but Dr. Huberman didn't even get to finish a lot of his thoughts with Whitney interrupting, flirting, and getting too personal on her end and trying to get him to be too personal on his.

      He has his own podcast now, right on TH-cam. It's very dense on information, you'll have a tough time taking notes lol.

    I just love this guy so much. I can't imagine he has time to be in a serious relationship or that even being in one with him would EVER work, but he is fascinating. AND he's just so yummy. I listen to his Huberman podcast regularly and it is interesting to hear him on this trying his very best to make it relatable to Whitney's audience. She also does a great job steering him back to speaking in easy to understand language to it is relatable. I am learning so much here already at 2 hours in. It is unfortunate however that she is interrupting him constantly. I know from previous podcasts with him that he is sometimes hard to get a word in edgewise because he has so much to share, but c'mon. LOL. Anyway - Andrew Huberman, will you go steady with me? :-)

    Thank you so much for making this so accessible to us/your audience. For years in social services work, I was taught and trained with "mindfulness", and every time, it made what I was dealing with a lot worse. We need to be better at just acknowledging what is going on in our bodies and align the action to the feeling.
