    First time I caught that you recently had a child. Congrats! I have 2 boys and recently found out we have a third on the way. Its awesome being a father. Even more when they are interested in ALL your tools!
    I went through my grandfathers 6500 Craftsman tool box this evening and found the same Starett tool that you had shown. A whole Craftsman US made 3/8 socket set with a 1/4 adaptor. Along with Craftsman wrenches and Lectrolite wrenches. All in great condition..he was a tool and die maker and a big DIY'er. Its awesome using his tools to perform tasks at work and home.

      Thanks man! Congratulations yourself. You’ve got your hands full! It super cool to give those old tools a second life with you after your grandfather used them during his life. I bet he would be so glad to know you are using them. My grandpa had all the craftsman too.

    That pruning saw on a stick is great. I found one on the side of the road that must have fallen off of a landscaper truck. Super useful.

      Just got done cutting an amazing amount of big limbs that were very high up. I was going to get a brand new one, but this one is even better than one I could have bought at Home Depot. 10 bucks well spent!

    I can tell that the square is quality. As soon as you showed it I knew what you had. I am a trim carpenter and I also sometimes build wood working projects as more of an occasional hobby. That is great for many uses in what I do. And it can last a lifetime if taken care of. Great find. I do hope that you enjoy it

      I will definitely use and enjoy the square. It was definitely my favorite find of the day. I love theirs kind of squares. The old Stanley stuff like that is awesome. Thanks for watching!

    Good idea on the WTF project. As a bonus, if it hadnt already occurred to you, you can prerecord it when youre already in the shop on Sundays and then release it later in the week, if you find yourself with a bit of extra time you could get multiples set up so you got something in the pipe if you're too busy another time also if you want to keep content flowing.

    • @realworldtoolreviews
      @realworldtoolreviews  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea that’s kind of the idea. I figure it will be easier to make a few at once that can be released whenever. We’ll see how it goes!

    9:02 That's an interesting design on the limb lopper, the rope is pulling on an arm that gives the blade a little more mechanical advantage. All the ones I've used the rope is pulling directly on the blade and it can be difficult to overcome the angle. Pretty neat find! And yes on WTF Wednesdays, what a great idea!

    • @realworldtoolreviews
      @realworldtoolreviews  ปีที่แล้ว

      Man that lopper/pole saw is awesome. It does have a better design on the lopper than most. I got a a bunch of stuff cut with it already!

    That Stanley square is definitely a nice find. Personally, I would keep it in the shop unless you have a place to put it securely. It's not a throw in the bucket or tool box type of tool. I place tools as such in what I consider fine tuned or calibrated tools that require extra care. In fact, that would be a good series for you. Tools that demand respect. Squares, levels, chisels, precision screw drivers, handsaw, axes, and electrical testers, etc require a little more care than things like hammers, screwdrivers, chisels, punches, etc.

    Nice haul. I have a similar red wrench holder mounted to the wall. I keep a set of Snap On metric wrenches in it for both utility and shop art.

      Thanks! It’s fun to have that on the wall and add to the set. It makes for good decoration too.

    Thanks for the Estwing demo driver review, for 8 bucks you can't really go wrong. I thought the material would be slightly different from the hammers, but that's okay. I just ordered a set. A content suggestion might be what you like in terms of measuring tapes, etc. I've got a bunch of those cheapo HF orange and black freebies from years back, a couple of Stanley FatMax, Milwaukee Magnetic, and some older Lufkin tapes including those wooden folding ones, and a steel tape version that has a little manual crank to pull it back in that was my dad's. I've thought of getting one of Bosch's laser one, but don't really need it so I've not bought it yet. Keep up the good work. I seen about all your vids and don't remember a measuring tape one.

      @realworldtoolreviews  ปีที่แล้ว

      Measuring tools is on the list for sure. I’ve been meaning to do one on that for a while. You will like the screwdrivers. They make a big set of them too that I am forcing myself not to buy😂

    I really like the grip on those Estwing screwdrivers. They float around the shop, the service bag, sometimes the landscaping bag. And the handles don’t get that kind of un-cleanable dirt on them that some other tool grips get

    • @realworldtoolreviews
      @realworldtoolreviews  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yea I can tell it’s not the sticky nasty rubber that I hate. They are impressive for the price for sure. I’m going to enjoy using them I can tell.

    I was in Menards and was looking at southwire tools
    They now have made in the USA lifetime warranty tools
    Not cheap but not Snapon prices. Nice flag etched on them
    Will update on performance as I use
    Southwire has now become my favorite brand

    • @realworldtoolreviews
      @realworldtoolreviews  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s cool. I had no idea Southwire had USA made tools. I’ve seen them in Lowes for years. Let me know how you like them. It’s great to see more big brands going to USA manufacturing.

    Great stuff, congratulations on your boy and good on you for re-prioritizing. I've got three littles and time is definitely my most valuable asset these days.
    For WTF ideas i would love one on the bosch screw gun, the wilde 6-in-1 (i know you've recently upgraded both.)
    Also other old staples like your klein 2000 linesmans or dykes.
    Thanks for your work

    Estwing makes 2 or 3 different screwdriver sets with the same grip as those demolition screwdrivers

      Man I had no idea. It’s taking every ounce of strength I have not to buy the $50 set on Amazon right now. It looks awesome 😂😂. I can’t do it after buying a snap on full set recently.
