Interesting point. Accessibility is important. And what you pointed as an example, the heat button for the steering wheel should be on the steering wheel, easy access. And any other functions necessities that will help the driver to set it for his comfortability. If it's not within his reach, the driver will have to take his eyes off the road. That's not advisable. It takes a few seconds to get distracted and eventually end up in an accident. Something Dodge Ram should have known. My opinion.
I'm sorry this is a revamp of the indigo and sea salt already available in the 5th gen rams for a price bump and an added passenger screen and a couple extra features not worth the 14k price bump from 2024 model. Worse yet a wrung out 6 cylinder ready to grenade before 100k miles you don't push almost 540hp out of an engine pushing 28 psi boost and expect it to last. I'm going to be the first one to tell you do not buy these 2025 RAMS. An engineer from the stellantis team has warned me about this vehicle he said the engine is maxed out where it's at and will still most likely have problems by the time your powertrain warranty wears out they won't stand behind these like they did the hemi with the 100k miles or 10 year, they dropped the powertrain warranty down to 60k miles 5 years and they'll make plenty of money on premature repairs after your warranty runs out early.
Good point about the drop in warranty mileage! That makes my antenna go up.
Bummer! I guess I will reconsider and go with the 2024 hemi. Those Indigo seats a great too.
That's a good point about the seats. If I'm paying too much, i want seats that can resist colors, leaving marks on the seats, especially the example you gave, it is true.
The little small setbacks will not stop me from buying one. Actually, the little setbacks will give me leverage to negotiate for a better price. 😊
$90,000. + for a pickup truck? .. Buyers need to have their heads examined. ..

What you are pointing out, plastic, should be leveraged to negotiate the price. If I'm going to pay 90k, and there are some cheap materials on the vehicle, Dodge Ram better knock down the price lower. Am I wrong??
Thanks for the review, My problem with the Tungsten are: lack of front Steele bumper & Tow Hooks! Light interior colors, Finally no blackout option in hate chrome, Last thing nothing wrong with hood or seating position you’re just a small person for a truck.
A lot of smaller people drive trucks. It’s important to know. Plus there are a lot of other trucks that have much better visibility out the front.

I’m sure they will add the night edition package to the 2026 model, but I was looking forward to purchasing a Tungsten, but I’d rather spec out a limited edition and get the night appearance package.

$90k vehicle with a manual tilt telescoping steering wheel. Also why the vertical center display verse orienting it horizontal? I also wish they had an option without the massaging function. It takes away from some comfort. I have the Lincoln Aviator with them and hate the massage function, never use it and it does take some comfort and support away. Another miss is rear sunshades. Come on this is a $90k vehicle and they are skimping on some things that should be there. Lastly switching to v6 and the gas mileage is subpar. Bring back a diesel option!!
If dodge really wants to get back into the tuff truck market they need to get back to making a basic truck for the average working person! AND with the new straight 6 with a standard transmission with no power windows or seats a basic radio that you can plug your phone into for maps and music. Every basic working person just needs a good truck, just like dodge used to make! Get with it people!❤

We’re getting way too complex with these screens. My 2023 has an 8.4” screen which is plenty. I also have hard dials and buttons for climate, etc. I wouldn’t want it any other way.
Really great review. You definitely gave more detail than most, which compliments Tim's driving review. I agree with lots of your hits/misses. The pedals are great. My wife can jump in and just move those closer without screwing up my seat setting for short drives. All trucks should have it. And that center screen would be so much better sideways. Camera views would be nice, and they could lay out a row of buttons/knobs under it. Like you, I hated using some of those screen controls on my 2020. Too small.
I like dial gear a lot with dial gear,because if you forget to turn your gear to park, then the car does itself .

It's a beautiful truck, but it's too pricey.
So when will we see this truck on dealer lots?
Beautiful vehicle but no 1500 pick up is worth $90k.
some of those plastic bits are supposed to be carbon fibre. like the covers in the center console on the tray, they are wood on lower trims. If there was a gear select on the console, it would reduce the storage there, something to consider.
If that was carbon fiber it was very poorly done. 🤷🏻♀️

My bighorn has adjustable pedals. Never use it. If I was rich I’d buy a limited after it’s discounted 18k.
Every other video I watched it does have Lane change assist also didn't say much about new voice commands
The gear shifter dial does not get hot or cold. I have the same shifter in a Chrysler 300c Platnium and a new Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit. I have an Ivory/Dark Blue trim in my Chrysler and it is very easy to keep clean. You nitpick things that have no consequence with most drivers. You can adjust everything from the Steering Wheel. Maybe, you should be reviewing Honda's. You are the only one who finds fault with the trim.

@@jillciminillototally get that but in regards to the shifter knob, it never gets hot or cold. I had a 2018 ram 1500 sport and no matter if it was 110F or 20F outside, it would remain at whatever temperature I had the interior set to.
@@texasfan8892 that’s good to know, but my point was more about the fact it was dial (not a lever) than whether or not it would get hot or cold. I’ve had Stellantis vehicles with a knob, and they have gotten hot/cold.
You can use voice commands to adjust temperature controls, I.e. turn on heated seats

Maybe but it’s a significant minority I’m sure. There’s never a one size fits all.

Yeaaaa!🤨...in the meantime the tundras still having engine failures with main bearings overheating. F150 with there eco turd troubles and don't even get me started on the Silverado/gmc ticking time bomb jack in the box engines...one good thing about the new SSTs in these new Rams it's designed by the same guy who designed the 5.7 hemi...so if your bombed out about the hemi dying off you can always think about that and feel a little bit better when your zipping down the highway in your turbo Ram😆

Not having a darker option for the interior is a BIG mistake. Those seats as you pointed out are going to get trashed out there in the real world very quickly especially for a truck. All I can say is ... good luck trying to keep those seats clean.
