At tanishq if you want cash they will deduct 3% on current gold rate and exchange is for 100% . and they don't give you cash for other brand coin, only they exchange other brand product at there store. And if it is 22 k and above then they deduct 3% of current gold rate for exchange and if it is lower then 22 k then the % rate is higher

No idea why some manufactureres even bother with certi-card when they cannot maintain the alignment. It is indicative of a lack of care in production, in the last few years. Cannot hold the coin when inside certicard and now cannot see it either. Its also to be noted that MMTC will hold digital gold purchases in their vaults for upto 5 years for free, digital gold can be sold instantly and does not incur any making charges (for imperfect packing?). LOL we shud get some refund on making charges for such misaligned products. It only makes sense to take delivery if the intention is to hold it for loner than 5 years. Keep up the good work Varun. Totally wrong! Tanishq has written 24K while Kundal and MMTC-PAMP have written 999.9 fineness. Those who do not know the difference please know this; 999.0, 999.5 and 999.9 all three are 24K but they are all different. In 999.0 you get 1 gm of impurity in 1 kg, in 999.5 you get 0.5 gm impurity in 1 kg and in 999.9 you get only 0.1 gm impurity in 1 kg, so in 999.0 and 999.9 fineness, there is a difference of 5000 Rs to 7500 RS per kg base price. MMTC-PAMP is a Swiss+India semi-government refinery known for ultimate purity. You can not compare based on 24K. What is the fineness of Tanishq gold in the 24K segment? Secondly, MMTC-PAMP gives positive weight, meaning if you buy 1 gm of gold, it will be more than 1 gm, which is a guarantee.
₹7-8,000 difference per kg is negligible as it means for 10gm coin difference is hardly ₹70-80

I found it unfair on part of tanishq that they are deducting 3% of the gold even if it is their own brand . Basically they are just returning you 97% so what it is benefit of buying gold coin from them even for investment purpose also
Because you are getting returns on the price of Gold, not based on your initial investment. The corporation has it’s policies set in place to make the most money when buying/selling. Unfortunately only other option is to check with local jewellers if they offer more than what Tanishq would quote.

Yes, you can totally do that. But, you should first ask whether your local jeweller takes your coins and what rate he gives.

Explained buyback of each brand in their respective videos, for step by step process you have to contact the brand directly as they change it often. Also, you have to be in that part of country to avail buyback for most of the brands.

Unfortunately the price isn’t standardised, this way every shop has a different pricing strategy and it gets bad for the consumer!

Because brands take advantage of the trust that people have in them. Or the other scenario could be that maybe the cost of acquisition is higher for Tanishq as the source could be different and there’s no chance of bad quality metals.
Tanishq don't accept all brands. Only jewelry in exchange u is also cause in one of the trade. I searched recently

In india all is scam, marking and all is on fake products too. Recently c4ore worth of imitation jewelry was sold to foreigner and it was having all markings. The case was from rajasthan. Its a shame.
That foreigner went to a pretty suspicious looking shop. She didn't go to a proper branded shop. This shop was run by a father son team and this lady goes and spends 6 crores. Even in dollars that's a fortune. Tell me who spends that kind of money in an unknown shop? It's a crime definitely but will anyone spend that kind of money in an unknown place? And this American lady is supposed to be some sort of jewellery expert.

In my experience Kundan has been cheapest for 999.9 purity coins and at times in sale it is a little bit cheaper than the market price.
Also, for selling I believe local jewellers give better prices.
Thanks for part 2 this has cleared all the doubts as to whether opt for Tanishq or not by the way 999 and not 999.9 purity is the same 24k but fineness is better Kundan and MMTC and MMTC goes up one step further to ensure that there's no negative tolerance.
I think from investment purpose it makes sense to get whatever coin you can get given purity is 24k 999 fineness. In that way one can reap maximum profits. For investment purposes paying a premium doesn't make sense. But I definitely want MMTC just for collection, I really like their detailing.
You are correct, Kundan frequently adjusts price. I have got the same amount for 9999 and 999 so value wise anything is fine. 9999 does provide more assurance regarding purity and weight tolerance.
