Love the thumb nail, drone footage and so many bobber drops, has got me dreaming of interior still water, and Penask rainbows that explode out of the water like Poseidon Missiles.
@@RosinFlyFishing So far the only real bad temps we had were about a week before Christmas -30-40ish. Still some snow here BUT Spring is, in theory anyway, only a couple of weeks away. Can't wait to get to the Bow!
I haven’t been to a rice in years. I like the new look I guess I’ll drop by there one day and I don’t know if you know me, but I’m the one with the feather on my head.
I start 4 feet under an indicator. Move down a foot every 15 min if no action. I've gone as deep as 16 feet and I've heard of them deeper, but hook sets get tough! If they are taking midges on surface, you can go 1-3 foot down and test a chironomid pattern. Usually they dial in on a specific color when that's happening and they will hammer that, and ignore everything else!
Tbh, it was on fire for about 2 weeks then it died down pretty badly. Go again in the week after they first stock it and you should be able to find some fish if you do what we were doing :)
Nice drone footage of the lake! Great catches! Was this recently after it had been stocked, or you guys just hooked into the secret fly and depth? Way to go!!
Thanks Paul! It hasn't been stocked since Autumn so it's also cool to see so many fish still there through winter! :). We kinda got lucky too though, they were really ON for a couple weeks, then kinda turned off. Maybe an ice off kind of bite. Would be interesting if it fishes well again here after it thaws again!
That day it was 4-5 feet to start then nearer mid day up to 8 feet. Usually start at 5 then increase if not working! I very slowly retrieve in the leech, seems to work!
Seems like a solid group of guys! Good day of fishing!
Haha yeah sure they just heckle me and try to make me lose fish, great guys...

Haha those interior fish sound simply incredible! It was certainly a fun time fishing with you guys again :)
Been waiting for this one to drop!!! Looks like a ton of fun. Glad I got you to say "bloody stool" in a video...
You're welcome
Your getting me hyped for the spring and my stillwater adventures! Nice video!
Nice! Thank you!
Great video and sweet underwater releases 👌

Nicely done.
Thanks Colin! :) Hope you're staying warm out there!

You should go to Deer lake soon. There are prespawn largemouth bass and rainbows.
I don't think I'll be able to! This weekend I'm fishing Lafarge for stockers then hanging up the gear for a month due to work and some commitments!!
@@RosinFlyFishing Ok. Good luck!
@@silascheng6004 feel free to join! Doing a Discord meetup 830-11 Saturday morning at Lafarge :)
fly fishing in Feb is so sweet isn't it!!
This was January but YES! Lol

It can be great or frustrating, but always beautiful :)
Whats your line setup? From fly line to the leech?

Thanks for watching! Let me know what you think about the slower pace style of this video! 🙂
I like the slower pace for sure.

Go for a trip in the spring to the interior lakes and catch some 5 pound bows
People keep telling me about it, it's definitely on the bucket list! :)
hey rosin how high up on your leader are you putting your indicator. And are you slowly stripping in?
