Along with El Gran Senor.
@@HorseRacingLegends ABSOLUTELY.
Dancing Brave was the best. IMO better than Frankel as DB won over 1m, 1.25m and 1.5 miles. Why Frankel is rated better I’ll never know. When I watched Dancing Brave win the 2000 Guineas I said to myself “I think that’s the best horse I’ve ever seen”. And so it proved.
Yes it’s a great argument for sure.
Carry on we are waiting
Nijinsky for me…
A great shout that.
@StephenSmall-sf5um Yes along with Brigadier Gerard who beat Mill Reef.That form simply can’t be argued with.
Peter o sullivan the best ever
Agreed.
A double handful.
Definitely
Great coverage - take note ITV !! No gimmicks such as how a jockey gets ready for a race. No excruciating puns as the horse crosses the winning line. No clueless bints more worried about what they are wearing rather than focusing on the horses. No idiotic childish presenters trying to be funny or score pathetic points with each other. No “home schooling” wtf is all that about? Don’t try telling me that you are trying to broaden the audience. You either love horse racing or you don’t- you don’t need to be incentivised with bullshit. Racing will survive without your puerile efforts.
Ooh forget, No excruciating fawning sycophants dribbling over jockey, trainers and owners.
@leeheyman5545 Yes World Class coverage
@leeheyman5545 Yes it’s unbearable now.
Didn't dancing brave win a breeders cup race.
No
Ridiculous speed
Yes he had it in spades.
What happened to Dancing Brave in the B.C.?, he ran out of the money
The same as what happened in the Derby. He got unbalanced round the home turn. He never won going left handed.
That’s a great observation thank you.
@@HorseRacingLegends Also he was competing against drugged American horses , there is a reason very few European horses win Breeders cup races
Horse was stuck in quarantine in the heat of Ca. Plus he had been on the go since April. Almost died just weeks after the BC.
@mallafets I never knew that.
People saying great commentary but O'Sullivan wasn't that good in the 80s and dreadful towards the end of his career. He didn't even mention the cocky glance fron Pat Eddery just after the 2
Don’t forget he was looking through Binoculars probably.
If pat would have been on the brave in the derby,what a shame
What if Greville had been on El Gran Senor.?
Pat, my favourite jockey, gave him a lot to do in the Arc as well. Dancing Brave's brilliance rescued him.
All Hail the king❤ the best of my life time . Always felt a bit of sadness for Shahrastani as he was a top notch colt , but the headlines were always his “lucky “ Derby victory . DB was just in a different league not many can claim to have been in. Great race , wasn’t surprised by Shardari running so well , either. Triptych ❤running another stormer and big Petoski would have made a nice staying chase one day😂
That’s a bit borderline cruel about Petoski.He did win the race in 1985 beating a great field.
@@HorseRacingLegends He was a decent
2yo , and his KG win was unexpected given the class in the race (I thought Rainbow Quest was a shoe-in) but there was times he looked slower than a 3mile chaser , especially in the. Chester Vase behind Law Society 🐌
He still up on the Day when it mattered most.
I know there is only one derby but once Starkey saw it was gone he should have coasted home and kept dancing brave for another day I think he took a lot out of the horse giving him a hard race when he'd no chance of catching Swinburne on sharastani I actually liked Grenville Starkey as a jockey he must have had nightmares over that derby 😳 he was some horse dancing brave but just imagine how good golden fleece was he came from as far back as dancing brave and still won doing hand stands it was a tragedy he died of cancer before he had really started his stud career 😮
No I don’t agree with any of that
WTF was Starkey up to I know it wasn't his fault he got so far back but he had such a great horse under him he should have been able to improve before sharastani got the first run on him
Racing doesn’t work that way.
