I worked around this A/C for over 25 years...SUPER FAST and efficient, they NEVER break down.. Its a shame that they still don't manufacture these beauties

I loved that aircraft, had lots of takeoff power and was airborne I thought prematurely but with so much power it could take off like a rocket!!

They should make a 757NG series to replace the classics! 757-8 replaces the -200, and a -9 to replace the -300. Build from the legacy of the originals!

A clean-sheet 757NG would be delightful. However very expensive. Much cheaper to keep pushing engine upgrades on 737 airframe.

Had the pleasure of working as a avionics technician on the 57 at CLT heavy maintenance base for 11 years. Wonderful aircraft, and we always took great pride in our work. The 37 and 67 were good too, but the 57 had the reputation of being in a class of its own. Oh yes, those were the days, best years of my working life.

Coming from a Pratt employee … both PW2040 and RB211-535 motors are thoroughbreads. The C17 x4 F117-PW-100 hasn’t needed to be upgraded since introduction because of above superior performance in crazy takeoff and landing conditions all over the globe…Always dependable! GE ,Rolls and Pratt are unmatched worldwide and are the envy of Russia, China and all other wannaB’s not in the freeworld..

I loved the 757 wish they were still being built. They are the best single isle airplanes as far as I know. I just love how nice they perform. I enjoyed the video.

Best airlines I ever flew on was the 757, loved it, awesome, what thrust, taking off and breaking through purple clouds in a fierce thunderstorm (steely captain, I guess who said I see a break in the front, I guess on radar, and we took off out of Detroit, I thought is the guy nuts we had been witing with all the others on the tarmac, it was mid-afternoon seemed like nighttime I could see headlights on the cars on a nearby highway, we powered through the clouds beyong belief, I thought, "How much water can these engines possibly suck in yet give up this dynamic 45 degree upward power at an amazing speed my back, the back of my head and shoulders pressed deep into the back of the seat by sheer centrifugal force the clouds going from purple/black to dark gray, to light gray, to whiteish to cotton white, to magnifificent blue and shimmering sunlight. The Boeing 757 is a beautiful beast.

This is the closest I’ll get to be on a plane again. My last flight was in ‘79, going to and coming back from Hawaii for 10 days.

Nice to meet you, thank you very much. First time using Delta boeing 757-200. I heard. I'm glad I was able to get a good seat. The view from the sky was extremely beautiful. We look forward to your continued support.

Boeing should have further developed this aircraft instead of the 737. The 757 has a more modern fuselage is already overpowered with either of its original engines & is arguably better looking. Plus it's very popular with passengers & crew alike. I'd like to ask a Boeing exec why the decision to favor the 737 & cancel the 757 was made. Doesn't seem logical

I've started to have a soft spot for these planes. Their engines sound amazing, ESPECIALLY when they're first revving up from idle (Such as when the aircraft begins to taxi).

Unfortunately and sadly, it's becoming a rare bird. So many airlines used to fly it. Here in the states, the only passenger airlines that still fly it are Delta and United.

The B-757 must be a joy to fly. But as a passenger, not so much. Embarking and disembarking on that long fuselage is not my idea of fun! 😅

Reason why Boeing ceased the production of the B752/753? It's to focus on the production of the 737-900
