For areas that are further north the SMART train is very efficient and it goes near the Larkspur Ferry building, a 15 minute walk or bring a bike. It's a cost effective way to commute and the train bypasses traffic.
Novato was a great place to grow up. I know marin has wished it was part of Sonoma but guess what we belong to marin. To bad all that money moved in from out of state and ruined the bay area.
If you want to grow nice fruit trees, choose Novato or the northern parts of San Rafael. You’ll need the heat for your plants to thrive well. Central and southern Marin are too cold.
No F tier "except Novato" is a clueless statement. There are multiple towns and neighborhoods in other parts of the County that have overt longterm gang and poverty and crumbling multi housing. HOW can you ignore this??? Also- it is well known that the bulk of SF commuters from Marin Co are exec types and don't drive in until 10am.... Not exactly rush hour. I think I have found the difficulty: You are Orange County. I see. You don't even begin to understand our half of the State, even after a decade. Sigh
