- Hi everyone, in this video, I have compared the three flagship chipsets of 2024, the A17 Pro, Dimensity 9300 and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 to find out which is the best chipset in 2024. In this video, I have tested the chipsets through CPU & GPU benchmarks and gaming tests!

Mediatek has improved so well. The Dimensity 9300 is an incredible competitor. I would rather see Samsung use them instead of Exynos for their non Snapdragon variants.

people thought that the dimensity 9300 would run too hot because it doesn't use small cores only big and mid cores
what people don't realize is that those mid cores are only clocked at 2ghz so it will give better performance than using small cores while using same power
this is a genius architecture from mediatek

Dimensity coming from being a meme chip maker to a solid competitor so fast. In just a few years they turned themselves around and now is playing in flagship level. This kind of dedication is what made AMD surpass Intel's value in the PC space. From Bankruptcy to having a higher net worth than Intel's. that's an amazing feat
You know what is a meme chip? Google's Tensor chip, being 1 of the largest tech companies earning billions but producing crappy chipsets that are not even in any benchmark rankings for multiple years, their flagship phone specs can't even compare to those of snapdragon releases of at least 3 years ago.

I love it because it will push Qualcomm to keep making huge gains. Two yrs ago, the bionic chips dominated these benchmarks. Now, they only hold a generational lead in single core
Mediatek has given a tough competition to Qualcomm especially their low prices are comparatively excellent 👌

Good to see Mediatek getting into top tiers
Indeed, their flagships have for the last 2 years been lacking when compared to their SnapDragon counterpart. In the CPU department the gap is generally okay, but in the GPU it's always a generation behind SnapDragon. I'm glad they finally used 12 GPU core configuration this generation. Based on a well made approximation their GPU cores always needed 12 cores since the Dimensity 9000 to match their counterparts. Because GPUs are also important in video rendering outside of gaming.
@@user-ow7jc7vr2kI know you all on the dimensity wagon, but im impressed with snapdragon actually winning in some cases over the apple's chip. I mean it something we've been waiting for a long time, for sure!
i love dimensity but sa reality is that like 7+gen2 now dm9300 will only come in vivo oppo phones that also 1 each or may be in 1 or 2 more in global market but not in india. one reason is that t has bad battery performance since it does not have any efficenty core so manufactures has to give big battery with it
@@devanshanil2468 Not really, check some battery drain reviews, the Vivo X100 with Dimensity 9300 beats the Xiaomi 14 Pro with the SnapDragon 8 Gen 3, and when compared to IQOO 12 Pro with a similar OS, it only lagged behind within minutes. SnapDragon 8 Gen 3 is still better in everyday tasks but only about 7.5%. The A520 efficiency core is a disgrace, the gap between it's and the A720's base power consumption is minimal. The A55 still has a lower base power consumption. Running a mid core which is powerful but similar core in low power somewhat makes sense compared to running a small core in high power and switching to a mid core in low power when transitioning. A random guy even suggested this all big configuration with a 4 X2 and 4 A710 cores back in 2022 when the SnapDragon 8 Gen 1 was rumoured.

At 9:36 regarding the Premier Rush score, there is a mistake. A17 is 8.01% faster than SD 8gen3 and not 1.28% like in the video. Otherwise, an incredible video!

Because it often is. Mobile games in IOS often have higher resolution and higher fps cap compared to it's Android counterpart. Unless you're not going to game for 1 hours + then you most likely don't need a Android gaming phone with coolers

@@angeloa.lapizar8139 u couldn't be more wrong, say you are playing a very graphics intensive game on an iPhone and a flagship android (say the s24 ultra), at the same settings, what will happen is this:
1 the. Android counterpart will be able to play at a higher resolution, higher frame rate, higher graphics settings
2. Just after starting a game if you monitor the frame rate, u will see severely more inconsistent frame rates on the iPhone when you play (use any tool for measuring and observe)
3. iPhone will heat up significantly faster in just few mins (poor cooling systems).
4. Following which there is a severe drop in frame rate and severe thermal throttling.
5. Battery drop will be significantly more in the iPhone due to these reasons.
6. Sustained gaming is no where near as good as compared to Android flagships/gaming phones.
In conclusion overall the latest apple phones are no where close when it comes to gaming
But I'll give credit where credit it due, u can play some AAA titles on it, and I love that idea, really impressed by apple here
(Imagine those games were available on Android, we could play the same with better graphics frame rates😜 thanks to roughly 30% better GPU, double the RAM and some phones come with dedicated secondary graphics chip to further improve performance)
@@angeloa.lapizar8139Don't exaggerate. Apple hasn't 5000mah and even 4000 on majority of phones except pro one's. It also didn't get 120w charger. So, it will be definitely seen in long gaming experience. I'm silent about the fact that android has every single game in play market for free with online.

I also have IQOO 12 Pro and stability of this device is not so good , Pubg after 45minutes of playing drop performance very much , i tested stability of the GPU and after 20minute test i get anly 56% performance stability
and after 40minute test performance stability drops to 43%

All three chips are amazing and very competitive but the SD 8 Gen 3 appears to be the overall best with the least weaknesses, even though slightly.
I have to admit that mediatek has come a long way that now it can walk past the bionic chips in some scenarios. Good job to the mediatek team
Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is most powerful for a phone with a high-performance core when I test with Minecraft using shaders capped at 60 FPS

Conteudo muito interessante.. seria interessante ver um vídeo desses com Chipsets intermediários. O dimensity 8300 ultra x snapdragon 7 gen2 ou 7gen3. Só falta a Qualcomm lancar esse chip. E nessa competição daria para add o exynos do s23 fe . Seria bom para quem não quer gastar muito num top de linha, com um intermediário Premium que possa atender suas necessidades de quem joga pouco e gosta de um aparelho com ótimo desempenho.

One recommendation, while displaying the metrics in lines/bars, please don't change the order of the CPUs for every test as it can get confusing to look at.

If you prioritize GPU performance, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is the best option. If you value multi-core CPU performance, Dimensity 9300 is a good choice. And if you want the best single-core CPU performance, A17 Pro is still the 👑

can anyone tell how long the Dimensity 9300 can go on one charge? i got around 2 days with 6h display on out out my iphone 15 pro max or 3 hours of honkai star rail before i need to charge it.

Like the US needs anymore tech and products. This video was interesting and it’s nice to be a tech enthusiast, but the reality is no matter what chip out of the 3 you have will not make a significant impact on your daily life.

@@jejunamja I have actually lived in four different countries. I was born in former Yugoslavia during war, lived in Budapest Hungary, The United States (three different states) and now I’m in Mexico. I'm well aware of the difference in product availability and price. My point was that our lives won't drastically change no matter which of these 3 phone chips you have and not to fall for the materialistic marketing tacticts. In daily use you probably won't even notice much of a difference between the SD Gen 2 vs the Gen 3 for example.

@@jejunamja You're right, most don't know about the vast majority of the other brands. Something like 60% of Americans have Iphones and most of them have never had anything but an Iphone. I am seeing a lot of Chinese brands here in Mexico phone wise. One thing that's new to me here is Chinese car manufacturers that I haven't never seen in the US or Europe. Jac, Geele, NIO's electric vehicles, the resurrected new Chinese version of MG...Im actually impressed by how nice these vehicles are for the price. single core is actually the most important, as it is the core that will get used when doing normal tasks. Gpu is most important while playing games. Now tell me what you do more on a daily basis in a smartphone, gaming or normal tasks.😂😂🤣🤣🤣😂😎😎🤓
Странно что у других обзорах совсем противоположная ситуация,где gen и 9300 греються 50°+, но тут каким-то образом А17 грееться, а gen 3 и 9300 вообще не греються. А когда увидел,что айфон в genshin проседает почти до 0 fps вообще начал дико смеяться😂😂😂

Given gaming is single core cpu bottlenecked, sd8g3 having worse single core performance than bionic yet still outclassing it in gaming is wild, goes to show there is far more at play like throttling and heat managment.
