Your channel was recommended to me by TH-cam, and I’m so glad I found it. Watching reminded me of when I spent many happy years teaching in the craft shop in the town where I used to live pre-pandemic. 4 years on, I am now a full-time carer for my 89 yr old mother, and have moved to the other end of the country, but I am determined to get back to my teaching again when I am free to do so. I have missed it terribly. Meantime, I knit and crochet and spin, even though I live in a year-round tropical environment (but have good air conditioning … 😊), and watching podcasts like yours is currently how I "escape" as my mother currently needs 24/7 care. Thank you so much for putting a smile on my face today …. New subscriber here from Darwin, Australia … 🥰🌴🌴🌴

Now going to go back and watch your previous ones . 60 year old here, just retired ....long covid, knitting up a storm for family and loving it. 🥰. Kindness....just YES. Precious moments with sons....absolute YES because when they have left, as both of mine, one cherishs all those moments. One moved to Boston now 👍
Hi from Canada! Have a great back-to-school… just retired from teaching in June and feel so lucky to have more time now for fun knitting projects so thank you for the wonderful podcast and inspiring ideas!
What a joy to have found you. Just added several new patterns to my favorites! Also very much loved your description of the “feelings of cozy”…I have had such moments too.
Just wanted to thank you for this podcast, just found you and must say I can so relate to you, very inspiring, also love your pattern selection and all. Hi Kristin Omg I am soooo happy I found your channel. I am going back to watch all your episodes. Thank you for sharing your knitting with us. I am a Peruvian living in MA and love knitting sweaters socks and hats. Your Florencia looks great. My 9 year old daughter told me Mami you have to knit one for you 🤩 I can’t wait to see your next episode
Hi Kristin! I was so happy to come across you on TH-cam. I’ve just moved back here to Minnesota ( Prior Lake) after 12 years living in the suburban North Dallas area where it is hotter than the face of the sun for most of the year. I can’t wait for cozy knitting at home all winter and exploring all the great fiber stores that popped up since I left. Looking forward to more of your vlogs soon. Kindness is a gift, thanks for sharing. ❤
Love your fall lineup. I need to get going on a baby cardigan and a few baby blankets. You and your son will do just fine! It's tough sending them away, but I always felt that we raised the kids to let them fly! It seems like you have a great relationship with him so I'm sure that will continue. It's very satisfying watching them grow.
Hi Kristen: Love your Florensia sweater! Yes, cherish your kids! They grow up so fast. Yes, it was like yesterday that we did the road trip to college and now he’s a dad to his own kiddo! He met the love of his life in his freshmen year and the rest is history! Been there, done that! I think you are doing a fabulous job! Keep clicking those needles and turning out those amazing knits! Take good care! ❤❤
I taught for 21 years and totally felt the same way you do every Aug. Then in 2008 I had some DV life stuff happen that almost took my life. I haven't been able to work since officially 2010 since I taught behavior mod no way I could do that anymore, tried several other positions but no success. I could not teach if I wasn't going to be my best, kids deserve all of me. Hardest decision ever! But I can honestly say, knitting has saved me! I have sort of recently started after all my other hobbies became too difficult for me. I can knit while laying down or sitting up, anywhere. I honestly don't know what I would do without it! Good luck with your new school year! 💙

Just found you! I really enjoyed your video, your knits and your vibe! My sophomore and senior going back in 2 weeks. I balled like a baby when each left and still cry when they visit and leave again. It’s really rough. It’s the definition of bittersweet- watching your baby fly and being so proud and happy but then also watching them fly away. Hugs to you! Your son will have a blast and probably won’t use your security case 😂
