Yea, these lists are Bullshit. Mashed gets paid by these places to be ranked. Bern's could very well be THE BEST steakhouse in America. This site ranked Longhorn in the top five of chain steakhouses.........yea right???? You can still see the marks in their steaks from where the jockey was whipping it!
The Florida and Ohio spots must have paid to get on the list. If you want amazing steak in these states....

Yes 90+ day waiting list. Berns 🥩 has a limited menu desserts too since CoVid19. Tampa's Hard Rock Council Oak steak is excellent. Great lobster bisque, top notch service 🍽.

Arthur's Prime Steakhouse in Little Rock AR. actually has the best Steaks in the south 😎👨🏻🍳😎
Everyone has an opinion. I have been to St. Elmo's several times and it is very good. But I will pick Ruth's Chris just down the street in Indy every time. I've eaten a lot of steaks in many areas of the country and RC is the best! Never had a bad or even a mediocre meal there. And their service is first class.
I live in Arkansas but travel to Alabama often. I go right by Marshall's in Mississippi on the way and have wondered what that place was like. One of these days I'll stop for a taste.
Bern's in Tampa, FL should definitely get some shine.

Osso in SF; the bone-in filet mignon [16 oz/$59] is the best steak ever. W/the butterness of a medallion cut & the beefy flavor of a tenderloin cut. Best of Both Worlds.
I see a lot of love for Berns in Tampa, that place is 🔥 private dessert rooms upstairs are 🔥 too
If you ever do a hidden gems list there's a steakhouse in Amber, Oklahoma called Ken's. It's in an old gas station and the food is incredible. They don't have a menu so the waitress tells you what they have. Such as the big steak, little steak, big ribs, little ribs and the prime rib and you get a trip to the salad bar with your meal.

Best steak I ever had was at a truck stop off I-80 in Big Springs, Nebraska. The chef looked just like grizzly Adams. It’s probably long gone, since that was about 1978.
Hell I used to live there. Max's was awesome.
I've been to a few on the list, mostly recently St Elmo's in Indiana. Steak was good but a little dry, they are famous for their spicy shrimp cocktail app. In SC, I highly recommend Chophouse '47 in Greenville or Sam Kendall's in Camden. In NC, Chophouse 101 in Kannapolis is quite good.
I recommend Bookbinders if you ever visit Richmond.

Best prime rib I ever had was in the early 2000s at a bar called the Good Old Days in Montello, Wisconsin. The owner used to make it himself. The place is still there, listed as a resort now.
Wisconsin: 5 O'Clock Steakhouse, formerly Corper's, in Milwaukee. No question the best in the state.
I must disagree with the choice for The Sooner State. To me the best by far is Rusty Barrel Supper Club in Ponca City Oklahoma. It's steaks are so good that just sitting at your table smelling them being grilled is like getting a day pass to Heaven!!!

We held a work get together there. I find the place to be the most horrible dining establishment when it comes to the atmosphere... we had to yell at each other just to talk because the place was so loud... too many people so close together... packed in like sardines...
The service was impeccable, the apps we ordered were great, the drinks and the staff were perfect, I have never actually pulled the waitress aside to tell her that my strip was the exact way I expected it and it was one of the best steaks, apart from my own of course, I have ever ordered in a restaurant...
A lot of Orlando, Orange County FL residents, diners like Christners 🥩, Sam Seltzers steak was a + chain but they closed in FL, around 10+ years ago. 2008 era. My friend & I ate a big meal at Council Oak Hard Rock Tampa Casino 🎰♣️♦️🥩🍽🍸🍷

If you haven't had prime rib at Cool Hand Luke's in Santa Maria, Ca. you are missing out on a great experience for a fair price.

As an Indianapolis native I can attest that St. Elmo's Steakhouse is still unmatched for my experience with eating steaks. The shrimp cocktail sauce should also be FDA approved as a nasal decongestant oh so good. It really is.
Good but my steak was a little dry, maybe it sat a bit because of our large group. I agree on the shrimp cocktail.

I took my mom to Durants when we were on a trip to Phoenix. Excellent steaks and probably the best bread I’ve ever had at a steakhouse.
Was expecting The Pine Club in Dayton for Ohio
Food Network ranked it in the top 2 in the entire country, USA Today ranked it as the #1 Steakhouse, and it has served host to George and Barbara Bush...who when Secret Service asked for a reservation were told they would have to wait 45 minutes.

Never have been able to get to Manny's in Minneapolis. Their Butter Knife Steak is really superb from what I have been told. Aged 28 days or more. I don't live on that side of the river any longer. I doubt I will ever get to Manny's. Too many problems in Minneapolis these days. Though St Paul has its issues, I can get to Mancini's for a dinner and get home without getting mugged and/or shot. For complete safety, I can always step onto my patio and grill up a perfect steak.

I lived downtown Minneapolis for six years, walked just about everywhere, and had no problems (well there were panhandlers but that's true in any major city). I'm very tired of suburbanites who spend their entire day doomscrolling crimewatch twitter.

At "Sabores del Plata", Norcross Atlanta, Georgia, you can find Uruguayan Meat, from grass fed animals. It is reputedly the best and doesn't need sauces.

There was 1 thing in Tampa I love that is my Lady. Now there may be 2 when I get to Tampa we will have steaks at Berns. No matter how good the steaks are I will still LOVE my Lady April more. I'm in Kansas city now, good steaks here. But I will find love in Tampa.

Matt's Steakhouse, in Rolla Missouri is NOT half way between St Louis and Kansas City. It is located on I44, an hour or so Southwest of St. Louis. Columbia, on I70 is half way between. It would be nice to research a bit before blithering.

The best steak house in North Carolina hands down is The Angus Barn. No question. These people are nuts. I absolutely can’t believe they picked anywhere else.

Matt's Steakhouse in Missouri is halfway between St. Louis and Springfield, not Kansas City. Located in Rolla, a college town.
Manny's lost its mojo years ago. 6smith (former Mannys employee) is what Mannys was at its peak.

New Hampshire... Hanover Street Chop House in Manchester. Everything is made in house including the sweet potato chips at the bar. The wine cellar is killer.
The best steak house in Ohio is, hands down without a doubt, the "Scioto Ribber" in downtown Portsmouth, huge ribeyes or New York strips, reasonably priced, grilled outdoors on hardwood smokers, & also featuring local craft brews on tap (Vulcan Dark Lager is "to die for"). People come from miles away in several states, just to dine at the "Ribber".
Pine Club in Dayton is the best. Top ten in the nation and favorite of presidents. It's unbelievable

I am a steak lover, I've traveled the US coast to coast for decades/. THIS VIDEO IS SO WRONG it isn't even funny. out of the 50 states, they maybe got one or two at the most correct. Peter Lugers in NYC was once worthy of #1 ranking, but has become a tourist trap with high prices.
I was disappointed that you didn't make Ascend, in Bellevue, Washington as the best steakhouse in the state. It's a 5 star restaurant where members of the Seattle Seahawks, Bill Gates, and Amazon CEO frequent. They feature A5 grade imported wagyu beef from Japan that costs about $45 and ounce for the ribeye. You missed the mark here for Washington.

Agreed...Cattlemen's Steakhouse in Oklahoma City has it all as far as I'm concerned. Price, imperial home grown beef, delectable menu food, ambiance, and a relaxing and welcoming staff. Best in the country in my opinion. Best of all you don't have to spend a couple hundred $bucks for a steak dinner. Nor do you have to wait days on a reservation for a tab that's going to set you back a few days wages, in order to enjoy the tastiest most tender cut of beef with friends and family, you're likely to find anywhere in the free world!
You also need to dry, Chateau Bistro Steakhouse in East Texas.

I beg to differ. The Peddler Steakhouse in Gatlinberg TN Along with their sister steakhouse The Park Grill are the best steakhouses in Tennessee. As for Florida steakhouses. The Okeechobee Steakhouse in West Palm Beach is the best steakhouse in Florida as well as the oldest.

Food is subjective yet I'd like to share my opinion on BEST steakhouse and that would be 'Scratch' in lil' ole Louisville, Ohio. Dry aged beef and the best flavor these 57 year old taste buds ever had!
