*Overall **enjoyable.fishing** recommend I feel the Shadowfire 360 offers excellent value for those who are new to tenkara and don't want to break the bank on their first rod purchase.*
I’ve been making planer boards for for over 20 years and have caught just about everything on them. Keep at it and you’ll always have them out. Even anchored in current works excellent
Great work Steve. I have some planer boards that I haven't had the chance to try yet. I'm going to see how they work in tidal current on the James river..Hopefully this weekend..I thinkin' to anchor up and let the current take the boards as I still don't have a remote trolling motor to control drift....
Hey Steve I was drifting today at barren river lake and caught an albino. It is the first one I have ever caught I owe you a big thanks for teaching me how to drift. Check it out on as earl keown
Brother, I can't thank you enough for your videos. We fished deep on Wilson with big baits yesterday. Landed a 50lb and a 65lb fish. The bigger fish just about killed my $100 gander mtn net; it just isn't deep enough to hold the big fish or strong enough to lift them. Can you tell me what net you use? I'm sure it will cost me, but I need a net I can depend on to land a monster.
hey steve this is lee bailey in Tulsa OKLA i fish in the arkansas river catching big cats having problems in heavy curent breaking alot of 40 lb mono line should i be using braid
You are going to have to go with me some day so I can show you some big fish........ JOKING FOR SURE. Dag gone Steve you smoke the lakes and rivers... I'm so glad to have found you... I catch big fish on the Wabash river but I don't do it as often as you do sir... I got a few 100 pounders under my belt myself but you do it every time you go and not by accident you back it up with other fish... Love your channel and hope your new business is booming because your name sure precedes itself... I get some things squared away with my retirement I'm going to be ringing your phone because I want about 5 of them big rods you have... You call them monster rods??? I went and picked my boat up 4 days ago its like your new one with a windshield and roof and the graphics is the twin to yours... The trolling motor is what threw me for the loop trying to figure out how to follow contures and stuff but I have been using guidance systems in my tractors for a decade or so so it finally sunk in... Thank you Steve Douglas you have been an inspiration to me for what to do with my retirement... Travel and fish all the good bodies of water and not just in my home state... 1 more harvest and I'm gone... See you some day on the water I hope or in your shop
Steve yes sir that looks like fun !! What kind of plainer board was you using ?? I have never seen those types . Only yellow bird plainer boards . Thank again Steve for another great video ,
Boy you are ruined now, you caught that hawg on the planner board first time out so from now on you'll be trying to catch them all on one. Great job as always, great camera work by the talented Lisa, thank you both.
Hooking your boards up backwards bud, that's why they didn't spread to the side of the boat. Arm goes in front, you probably figured that out by now I'm assuming, great videos bud.
love your videos, but how do you get away with so many rods in the water? Here in illinois you are only allowed 2 rods per person. Every one of these catfish videos on youtube guys are pulling anywhere from 6 to 10 poles in the water.

I've used planer boards for walleye, but never used them for cats. I have seen some bank fishermen using them on rivers. Seems like a good idea.

Think they work bank fishing on the river? Keep your bait out in the water
I've seen guys use them like that. Don't know how well they did, but seems like they should work.
