This is still my favorite yoga session. Found it during quarantine and it is my favorite. I have tried in-person classes now but nothing gives me shoulder and stress relief like this video
What a great straightforward practice to open up the hips and hamstrings. I spend a lot of time in the car, and this was just what I needed today. Thank you!
Not sure where to place this overall comment so Ill drop it here as this video was one of yours that I do most mornings on repeat. Started on the Couch to Confidence awhile back but starting having issues in my lats, shoulder and neck area, in addition to daily tightness due to kickboxing. So I started looking for videos to target certain areas when I stumbled across more of yours.... What I LOVE about you and your teachings are that not only do they seem to hit where I need them to, you have a way of explaining small, subtle overlooked movements that can further and or enhance the stretch. Its not all about a heart racing 'flow"... its great stretching. I wish I had some fancy words and all but Im just a normal guy that wants to compliment you on your videos and share how beneficial your videos are. I used to follow one 'popular' yoga teacher but wanted something different. Got bored with her mundane routines. Your videos have all been great, helpful and just want to thank you. Carry on.
Found this after the first week of Quarantine and it's been honestly the most amazing thing for my body. I'm not used to sitting this much and started to feel so sore and tight from being inside (and sitting) nonstop. This KICKED MY BUTT. haha. I have extremely tight calves and this is literally so perfect for everything I need to stretch. Not to mention the hip stretches I never knew existed. Thank you so much. I now do this at least 3 times a week.
Nice gentle flow for hips and hip flexors. Enjoyed the soundtrack too. However, with the theme being for people who sit down, would've liked something for the shoulders and upper body to balance out. Have added onto my like list though as it's a good stretch out routine at a sensible pace.
Thank you, Julia! I never sit during the day, & this sequence was great! I think I pulled something doing chair pose the other day, so hopefully I’m better tomorrow 😃
Very good. I find it a little fast paced. So i have to keep pausing it. I can feel the stretch..but I just cannot lunge that deep yet. Thanks for sharing...will practice this for a few weeks and hopefully get better n better !
Loved this full body stretch yoga video! I will say this tho.. I have noticed with most "desk job" yoga videos that they usually almost always never >DIRECTLY< focus on forearm & pectoral stretches. As a Massage Therapist (also working at a desk job) this is concerning. Almost all if not ALL people who work at a desk NEED MORE STRETCHING FOR THEIR PECS & FOREARMS. That is usually one of their MAIN concerns when receiving a massage. I always have to pause the video and do focused stretching on forearms and pecs (theyre almost directly connected). Because there is never enough focus on those areas. When the pecs become tight it is a trickle effect down to the forarms causing tension & pain. And in some cases carpal tunnel syndrome. If more "desk job" yoga videos would include focus stretching on the pectoral region & forearms more of peoples bodies would be in a better state. ✨💜✨
I am working with disabled man who sitting on a chair days until bedtime. Therefore I have to sit beside him and give him a helping hands. And my hips so tight and become stiff and give me a muscle pains. Thanks Wellness. Am always follow up your program and I like it because most of them fit my problems.
I think with all this extra time we have on hands now, we should be looking to explore our bodies further as any of you ever attempted to split? why not set a new goal as she did, learn to split it can be done within 4 weeks there are channels with how to stretch tutorials online like mine that can guide you to achieving that.
Is this safe to do when you're suffering from lower back pain from sitting for an extremely long period of time? I currently have the absolute worst pains in my lower back and one of my thighs and I have trouble walking/moving in general. I'm afraid I might make it worse :/
Hi! Have you had your pain looked at by a doctor? I am not a doctor, and also since we can't be in person to test your pain level in certain yoga poses, it's hard to make a definitive call on what you should and shouldn't do. However, if you are medically cleared for movement, then by all means move! Start slow. Do what you can, and be committed to the process. A rule of thumb I always use is this: if you can't breathe through it, don't do it. As for sitting for a long period of time, yes that will absolutely CONTRIBUTE to back pain. Our bodies require movement to be healthy.
sepiaswirl You should look into the McKenzie Method for back pain. It might help you a little bit before getting checked up. I find that the types of stretches and bending/twisting that they do in yoga is terrible for my back pain, and especially if you don't know the source of injury/pain.
Thanks very much for your reply! I actually have a doctor's appointment coming up to have it checked out so if they give me the clear, I'll try this out :) Thank you!
Yeah I ask because at the start of the pain I currently have, I thought I'd do some stretching and what not but it hurt so much I had to stop immediately. Thanks for the advice!
I think the McKenzie method is wonderful. I used to work with PTs trained in this method. I observed that it was specifically helpful for people who have disc issues to help reinforce the area around the discs. Again, check in with a doc if you suspect an injury, and get clearance before engaging in a specific exercise program.
Thank for posting this. I really suffer from coccyx pain from sitting and including this practice in my routine is a must. I have to do it. What a pleasant instructor, your voice is calming, you look so friendly and pretty with your clean skin. I am honestly tired of looking at tattoos. aargghh can't stand tattoos anymore, they look dirty and totally outdated.

That was fantastic! Your instruction and the calmness in your voice really made this wonderful.
150924 I felt the stretches in all the places they were needed and then some. Lovely. Thank you. Namaste.

just wondering after your comment - do you think this video does enough on arms and pecs?
Perfect timing... Heading for the mat 😊

I didn't realise how my tight muscles have become after years of physical training without stretching. This hurts so good.
