After viewing this and watching Bruce explain the intricacies of just a microphone pitch or placement just adds to the magic and insight of what Bruce...Quincy...Michael orchestrates to just make one cut. We...as consumers just accepts the entire packaging of an album as an entire unit. But, there is so much more to the process than meets the eye or ear. Music is a language...a strange innate vibration that our souls react to. Birds,whales..who knows..spiders,dolphins,panthers or butterflies..must have their own bit of music. Do we all shake our booties to some ethereal beat of musical life?......Thanks Bruce..... for giving us a small peek into the magic of true musicians and artisans...RIP!
The importance of gathering the best people with great skill technical knowledge and expertise in their field combined with musicians of the highest calibre you can create great art.
Man, I hope someone was underneath him as an apprentice. Learned everything he did, and it's actually going to use it. But sparingly. And hopefully the same person you got or is able to use all of us mike's and studio and everything like that
RIP Mr.Bruce Swedien you will be missed.

I really like this complete musical storyteller!))) Through creative activity, a person seeks to find the deep essence of his personality.

I had heard the bottle percussion was played by sister Janet (uncredited), but that's unlikely imho.
It’s true. And randy
Official credits :
Michael Jackson, Randy Jackson, Richard Heath and Paulinho Da Costa : percussions
I wanted to say Paulinho da Costa. and MJ himself. He (and Randy) was percussionist for J5/Jacksons, not Janet.
Sheila E. Played Water Bottles in Michael Jackson's 'Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough'
Yup which also included sheila e
A sonic savant
that is SHEILA E. on bottle percussion
