There are so many trees cut down on family properties and discarded it's lovely to see a tree that has been kept in the family. I love that you used all the slabs given to you, even the thin slab that is mainly under the resin.
A suggestion for the next round build: Place a locator pin in in the table with a corresponding hole in the base. It can be tiny, but big enough to place in and easily locate the rest of the mounting holes from it. It works on car engines.
Looks great good memories I bet! Would have loved to have had some stuff from my Grandpa! He was a logger. My dad has his old wooden splitter somewhere.
That’s absolutely stunning piece. I really like the metal ring for placement. Having a 60 inch 3 inch thick wood round table, that metal ring creates a nice stable base. ❤❤❤
Hi 👋, Black Forest, Another great job. Well done., what some people would say it was firewood, you have turned it into a beautiful table piece of art, it looks excellent, as per usual, from the moulin.
Beautiful project. I like some of the advanced techniques you did with the wood in this table. everything seemed to come out better than before. Congrats on another beautiful table made by Black Forest Wood Co. Please scratch Charlie behind the ears for me.
What a wonderful, tangible piece of family history. Thanks for sharing. As always, your team makes difficult projects look simple. We appreciate you sharing the efforts of your talented team.
There's something extra special about taking wood from your own land, milling it and constructing something from it ... I did this for a kitchen table for a friend ... beautiful 👍
Superb as always. I think the X base in a ring is even better than your usual fixings, but I guess it only works well on a round table? Either way, another wonderful job 👌
I was going to say something similar. I'm really not impressed with the design here, especially with the mention that these wood pieces are sentimental. At least put some effort into design. Really unimpressed with this one. I'd be pretty pissed if I were the client on this one.
You should find a black pad to put on the bottom of base legs instead of bright white, especially when you have to double them up, very visible and detracts from the piece you worked hard on.
I would love for you to add the dates to the bottom right corner or something. When y’all make these amazing tables, you refer to having to wait a week for this and a week for that. I would love to see the dates of each step and overall how many days it actually took!
Not the prettiest wood that I’ve seen on your creations but I understand the sentiment for the owners. Anyway it is a very nice production that showcases your skills as crafters of fine furniture pieces.
Must be English walnut, but the light sap wood makes it extremely hard to tell. I don’t think I ever even guessed that it was walnut if it wasn’t mentioned
I’m sure you all did this, but you mentioned that the wood was warped and probably dried incorrectly. I assume you all checked the humidity before trapping it in epoxy. Beautiful work! Keep it up!
When I see the price tag for over 600L of resin I cry inside a little bit because I can’t afford to do something that big myself haha, but would certainly love to be apart of it one day
For what you were given it is a nice looking piece. Overall too much epoxy for my liking, but again, for what you had to work with…. On the bright side of my assessment, the base, which was all you, is absolutely beautiful.
Beautiful, but I feel like having the center slab being flat side down looked off. The underside looked more cohesive to me but I’m not the client 🤷♂️
I like your videos but if I listen to you repeat one more time that you use more resin because it's cheaper than your overhead cost I'm gonna lsoe my mind :D. You've mentioned it in 90% of your videos.
There are so many trees cut down on family properties and discarded it's lovely to see a tree that has been kept in the family. I love that you used all the slabs given to you, even the thin slab that is mainly under the resin.
Agreed! It felt wonderful to be able to turn this tree into a piece they'll have forever!
Thanks Debbie!
Because trees suck. They clog your gutters. They grow under shit and mess up cement. They fall doing storms and dirt covers your in ground pool.
Once again a beautiful piece of work. You have done justice to the owners aerlooms and that end result is just amazing. Well done to the team.
Thanks so much!
You always seem to be working out ways to improve your product. Very admirable.
Yes, we always try to improve everything we do!
Amazing result!
Thank you so much!
The table looks really really good. I’m sure the clients were very happy with it. Great job as always.
Thanks so much Rodney!
A suggestion for the next round build: Place a locator pin in in the table with a corresponding hole in the base. It can be tiny, but big enough to place in and easily locate the rest of the mounting holes from it. It works on car engines.
Stunning. This is not just a custom table. It's a work of art.
We really appreciate that!
great story and beautiful table
Looks great good memories I bet!
Would have loved to have had some stuff from my Grandpa! He was a logger. My dad has his old wooden splitter somewhere.
Definitely, and thanks Jake!
Maybe you could at least use his wood splitter on some wood to make something in his memory!
Great table as always! Lovely idea to use wood from a tree planted by the grandfather.
We love it 😀 😍 🙌
Thanks so much!
Love all Black forest projects. I hope to one day build up the courage to create a black forest inspired piece for our home!!!
We woul love to see it if you do!
That’s absolutely stunning piece. I really like the metal ring for placement. Having a 60 inch 3 inch thick wood round table, that metal ring creates a nice stable base. ❤❤❤
Thank you so much Maddie!
I think that break added more depth, I like the look
I don't think I've seen your x-base on a round table before. Stunning.
As always the pros pulled it off again. With everyone on you tube making epoxy tables, I do believe that you were the first and still the best
Thank you so much, we appreciate that!
Hi 👋, Black Forest, Another great job. Well done., what some people would say it was firewood, you have turned it into a beautiful table piece of art, it looks excellent, as per usual, from the moulin.
A beautiful combination of table and leg design. You’ve nailed it yet again!
Thanks so much!

We will give him a scratch for you haha. Thanks so much!

Beautiful. The client must have loved it!
They did! 😄
Absolutely you did justice to this family heirloom. That black is deeeeep and inviting.
Thank you so much!
As always - a piece of BFWC art mastery. Excellent work - stay safe.
Thanks so much Robert! You as well!
Looks awesome.. definitely a special heirloom for the client.
Definitely!
What a talented team you guys have!
Beautiful piece and what a blessing for the whole family
Conrad

Yes definitely! It just feelss so much more personal
Great job guys. Probably the best that could be done with these pieces of warped wood. Beautiful table!
Thank you so much Tim!
Absolutely beautiful table. And what an amazing story behind it also.
Agreed! Thank you so much!
Looks great, good job. Amazing what the finished table looks like
Thank you!
Superb as always. I think the X base in a ring is even better than your usual fixings, but I guess it only works well on a round table? Either way, another wonderful job 👌
I agree, but yes it's best for round tables
Just amazing looking, and another inspiring video. Thank you!!!
Glad you enjoyed it, we're always so pleased to hear when we've inspired someone!
Very nice looking table. You guys are the best.
Thank you so much!
Looks great. Cant wait to take your resin coffe table course in march.
We can't wait for you to take the class either! Thanks Tyler!
Awesome
Definitely English walnut. Beautiful stuff👌
Agreed! Thank you so much Cody!
Great work!!! You guys inspire myself and other woodworkers to do some great things of our own
looks like an epoxy table with wood thrown in
I was going to say something similar. I'm really not impressed with the design here, especially with the mention that these wood pieces are sentimental. At least put some effort into design. Really unimpressed with this one. I'd be pretty pissed if I were the client on this one.

Love the ash bases you build .
Thank you so much!
Sending your favorite tree to a furniture maker is like/similar to sending your favorite pet to a taxidermist.
I would love for you to add the dates to the bottom right corner or something. When y’all make these amazing tables, you refer to having to wait a week for this and a week for that. I would love to see the dates of each step and overall how many days it actually took!

Thank you so much 😀
Another stunning piece.
Thank you so much!
Stunning! Great work as always! 💪

Fair! It's definitely a unique and special piece of wood!
Well done thx for sharing❤😊 I thoroughly, enjoy! NZ
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching!
Beautiful!
Thanks so much!

AS USUAL! YALL LAID IT OUT! FANTASTIC JOB GUYS! SO PROUD OF YOU!!!!!
Thank you so much Dottie 😄😁
Just a heads up. The brown saw marks that you referred to. More than likely.. bar oil.
Amazing Dylan
Great job as always, well done. In my opinion one of the best woodworking TH-cam channels! If you would take Channel and tell me what you think.
Will do! Thanks Dan
Beautiful x
Nice. Could you guys tell me why everything I pour, from tables to smaller pieces warp like CRAZY? Im pulling my hair out...
When I see the price tag for over 600L of resin I cry inside a little bit because I can’t afford to do something that big myself haha, but would certainly love to be apart of it one day
Haha fair! Resin is unfortunately very expensive!
*a part
For what you were given it is a nice looking piece. Overall too much epoxy for my liking, but again, for what you had to work with….
On the bright side of my assessment, the base, which was all you, is absolutely beautiful.
Do you guys polish out that urethane finish once you get it back? Quite a bit of orange peel in that glamor shot after spray
That was just the first coat of urethane so that's why. We only polish urethane if the customer asked for a high gloss finish
Beautiful and respectful piece. To my personal taste the ratio of resin to wood is much too high, but hope the client is delighted.
It's all the wood we were given
Beautiful, but I feel like having the center slab being flat side down looked off. The underside looked more cohesive to me but I’m not the client 🤷♂️
Nice
Thanks Fred!
fantastic
Thank you so much 😀
hey guys
Hey Tim! Thanks for watching the premiere!
That could be Chestnut?
I'm surprised the paint shop lets you to sand to 300, I use similar stuff and their pi sheets say to stop at 150.
I like your videos but if I listen to you repeat one more time that you use more resin because it's cheaper than your overhead cost I'm gonna lsoe my mind :D. You've mentioned it in 90% of your videos.
Haha we'll keep that in mind for the next one. We just always get a bunch of questions about it whenever we don't address it
@@BlackForestWoodCo I guess not all people follow your channel so closely. Makes sense! I was just kidding btw 😅
@@miarjo Haha, it's okay it's good to get feedback and I agree with you! We don't want to be too repetitive we'll leave it out the next time!
It's too bad that middle piece sunk to the bottom, but looks good
I hope this becomes a Netflix series.
Не ожидал от вас такой ужасный стол. Если даже так заказал клиент, то я бы не стал снимать про него ролик
No justice to the slabs but seems like the clients just have no good taste, I mean they went to you to do the job...
That doesn't look good at all. Way too much epoxy and not enough wood
Great work! And hopefully posh clients pay extra... 😎
