Great instructions! As an alternative, there's no need to unscrew anything - you can just "pop" the top portions apart (from the backside) and then slip it out of the bottom pin. Then snap the new plate in (reverse) like you did with the original plate. Much harder to describe but it's easy after your first changeout. Do you keep you thick installed all the time?
