My boys love the livestock auction, it’s so much fun you never know what you might see or find, thanks for sharing. Wow! A wedding at the auction that’s different lol. Blessings
My mom owned a restaurant that was attached to sale barn and was always bringing home baby goats and calves that people gave her that were sick or poorly.
Growing up helping Grandpa on the farm he always insisted the only livestock on an auction are sick, old, lam, or not fertile. That made it tough to find calves to raise to build a herd. Sadly we did not get a good herd built up before Parkinson's forced his retirement. I hope to keep his dream alive and live my dream by buying and building up a small family cattle farm. great video.
Good day from Ont. When we had farm, we use to buy drop calves & put them on cows that had alot of milk that there calves could use all. Yea buying at stock yards was a gamble with small calves. We starting buying right from dairy barn, & those calves were usually very healthy, but you paid more. 700 lb calve on milk replacer & calf feed brought about $1/lb. There was a fair dollar in it. Thanks for auction video.
Wow way low prices for the babies. I would have taken them but dont think my apt complex would appreciate a calf in my yard. Don't have land anymore. My family and I used to go to auctions for cattle and horses quite a bit. Thanks for sharing
I've heard to stay away from livestock auctions. I don't really know. But a lot of people say the stock if often sick or infected and doesn't last long. I could be wrong. It's best to deal with someone you know or at least locally reputable.
Most auctions are for meat purposes, some culls that people don’t deem fit enough for their breeding stock. Great place to get some steaks or bottle babies haha. Just gotta know what to look for!
I wish I could buy all of them and save them from these stressful situations. This one is not as bad as others I’ve seen where they straight up abuse the cows, pigs, sheep.
Never been to union city auction. Always went further to Mercer if I was down that way. Nice place. Feeders weren't horrible for what they were. The pig impressed me that brought good jenga.
Thank you for taking us along to the auction. It has been several years since I have been to one. I even worked at a sale barn back when I was in high school even more years ago.
So cool to be able to choose the ones you want right there. Wait... did someone get married?? Wtf 😂😂 never know what you are gonna see on here BOOM 💥 💥
I watched this video on my tv but unfortunately you can’t leave a comment on the tv 😆. I always watch the longer vids on the tv it’s so much better to see on a big screen 💕
You were smart not jumping the gun and buying the first thing through the ring. Lol People should I know better than to take a 1-2 day old calf to the sale. I have 2 jersey bulls calves not sure what to do with them yet, I know they won't do any better at the sale. They definitely need treated with something pneumonia and shipping fever is common this time of year. I've been getting $70 for Holsteins at Meadville. Never taken anything over there.
@@FarmallFanatic unless they have a special sale I don't think they have the volume to attract many buyers for competition. A lot of guys will be getting bills. I think it's $11.50 just to sell a calf.
It feels like an animal adoption place. That announcer can talk, LOL. Some of those calfs looked like they were just born. Some looked like they were on some heavy drugs, some were slow and some very feisty. Interesting place for a wedding as well, I wish them well. 😂. Thanks for sharing Farmall. Have a great weekend. BOOM!
Why would someone get married at a livestock auction! Lol holy crap! I figured these animals would be a lot more expensive but I know nothing about it to be honest. Lol
I have never been to a livestock auction or sale. 😉. I know how it would go and I’d be driving home with rabbits and goats and who knows what packed in my car. Lol Most likely a few of those “wobblers”, too. 🙄
I guess I'm getting a lot more like my dad than I ever thought I would. Watching this makes me want to buy a calf and a pig and get ready to butcher them in the fall...
Been to few livestock sales in my life time. Some Bonnie Calfs. She had a bad leg poor calf. (6.58). Good to see sheep going through the ring. Little goats we had them when i was young on my dad's Farm. Even a pig lol 😂. $90 cheap bacon lol.
My boys love the livestock auction, it’s so much fun you never know what you might see or find, thanks for sharing. Wow! A wedding at the auction that’s different lol. Blessings
This is the first time I seen, a wedding in, the live stock Auction.. so cute all the animals..

Some of those goats are just so alluring, they have the most amazing patterns on their coats, such wonderful genes to breed with.

Wow those calves look sickly! Love the naked pig! My pigs look more like that sheep!!!!
I wish I could buy all of them and save them from these stressful situations. This one is not as bad as others I’ve seen where they straight up abuse the cows, pigs, sheep.
Better to focus on what happens on human being than livestocks.

Some of those looked big enough to eat already. 👍
I couldn't do one of these -- the calves look like their umbilical cord aren't even detached.
So cool to be able to choose the ones you want right there. Wait... did someone get married?? Wtf 😂😂 never know what you are gonna see on here BOOM 💥 💥

Alonely in upset New York do you get married in a Farm animal auction and so interbreeding
No animal should be placed on the auction block under 6 months of age, and in good health.
I've brought them home and they end up being the healthiest animals on the farm

Trade for cattle is nothing startling all over the world just now 🙄☹️
