John Rutter Toccata In 7 on Hazel Wright

Here as the Postlude, we hear John Rutter’s Toccata In 7 on the Hazel Wright Organ at Christ Cathedral and WOW!!!!! You hear all 4 of Hazel’s organs singing throughout the Cathedral. From the Grand Twin Towers Organ in the front to the Rear Gallery Organ, and the Trumpet En Chamade sisters in the corner Transepts. The sounds coming out of Haz literally wrap around you, and like I’ve said before, these videos don’t do it justice.
Hearing the Majestic Hazel Wright Organ sing is really something special.

It is!!!! This video doesn’t do Hazel justice. She really truly is a very special pipe organ. She has a beautiful history behind her that touches the hearts of many.

Now a Roman Catholic Cathedral...... and the organist continues to use the Hazel Wright organ to full effect.

Beautiful. I see the Chamades just went out of tune already. But the Chamades still sounds loud and pack a punch. 😉

It’s to be expected. Christ Cathedral expects the organ to be high maintenance, but it’s worth it to them. The organ still needs to settle and break in.
