    Low batt means the battery will not help the starter as well as if it was fully charged, It will therefore not spool up the compressor as well and less air will enter the fuel chamber as combustion starts, thus higher ITT are expected (which is the main thing to watch on start). Hope this helps a bit

    Only 649 views? That's a crime for such an interesting video! I am going to follow this procedure for starting my Carenado PA46T Jet Prop in Microsoft Flight Simulator X

    Phenom 100 or Mustang are quite simple as starting a car :)

    Very interesting and nice to watch. You mentioned that the low battery contributed to the high temperature during start. Why is that?
    I confess that I really do like the Avidyne stuff better than the Garmin...

    Does the beacon light turns on by itself?

    I recommend changing the title of the video to include something like "Piper PA46T Jet Prop Start Up Procedure" (since the flight sim version of this aircraft does not refer to "Meridian" and you may get a lot more views from all over the world by people who purchased the new Carenado flight sim product this year. I will try and post this vid in a Carenado forum.

    For info meridian have a smaller compressor and this contributes to slightly hotter start than TBM´S and PC12's. Add to that a slightly low BATT, and you have your answer to warmer starts

    With a TSLM/TSM from VR Avionics is completely automated, most Walter/GE 601 are using a fully auto start system.

    wow, pretty hot start, I flew a TBM 850 and the engine start is about 650ºC, never above 800ºC

    Cool video! No lights on startup?

    • @glishskiii
      @glishskiii 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's day. Why do you need lights

    • @96alpha46
      @96alpha46 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +glishskiii it's polite to use lights on startup that's why most planes have beacons but in his case he should have turned on his strobes because it's low voltage at short bursts at a time

    • @LucasVanderBartlett
      @LucasVanderBartlett 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Plus you should always use Beacons when starting up regardless.
